A call came from someone claiming to be Sean Carter, for an employee of ours, said it was to recover a debt. He was asked not to call again by the employee, by myself, my wife, the office manager and two people in the front office. He called back 128 times in three hours. We had to pay the phone company to block the number to get it to stop.

I am an employer.  They have called repeatedly for one of my employees.  It is exactly as above.  Will not answer any questions, also can hardly understand the person calling.  I have told them if it is personal they will need to contact the employee at home.  Yesterday 7/7/9 they called 14 times within 5 minutes over and over again.  Yesterday the number that appeared on caller ID was 500447852 - not even a complete phone number.  It wasn't until today they asked to speak to our Program Director by name with a different number on caller ID 321-221-0026 that I was able to call the number back and ask who they were.  At first the guy asked me who I was............I told him I was the person they kept calling and calling and I wanted to know who they were and he said Jason Reed & Associates.....I went on line and found this website.  This is crazy!!

I truly believe Roy Martin ( or he says) from this is trying to get me fired. I asked for their address and a supervisors name and websiteto confirm that this was a legitiment company, they got mad and hung up on me only to call my supervisor and bad mouth me. Calling the human resourses office 15 times in 5 minutes is just crazy!!! The number they are calling from is 500-447-852. That's not even a legitiment number. Please report to the FTC (Federal Trade Commisson).

Hello All,

Does anyone have any information for PRG or Profile Recovery Group LLC? I received a letter demanding payment within 7 business days, also threatening to enter judgment against me and garnish my wages and enter a lien against any real property.  Any information you have would be very helpful!  Thanks so much!

JUST HANGING UP WILL NOT STOP THE CALLS- YOU HAVE TO DO THIS!

?Because the fraudsters make a special point of calling consumers repeatedly at work, employers must understand that the consumers are innocent victims of a criminal enterprise and cannot stop the calls from coming.

If you are targeted by these criminals, be sure to report them to all the following federal and state law enforcement agencies (most of which you can do online or over the phone):

1.    The U.S. Secret Service is responsible for protecting the country's financial infrastructure and payment systems from international and domestic threats. Call or write your local Secret Service field office to alert them to the details of this attempted extortion. The addresses and phone numbers for the local Secret Service field offices are listed at http://www.secretservice.gov/field_offices.shtml or in your phone book.

2.    Alert the FBI at https://tips.fbi.gov Be sure to tell the FBI that you are being targeted by extortionists over the phone. And if the crooks claim to be law enforcement or lawyers, officers of the court or bankers, be sure to include that information in your report.

3.    File a complaint with your local police. Most police departments will take a report over the phone.  Be sure to tell them that you're being targeted by an extortionist and give them all the details.

4.    File a complaint your state's attorney general, the contact information for whom is at www.wvago.gov

5.    File a complaint online with The Federal Trade Commission at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en

If these crooks call back, promise them nothing, pay them nothing and tell them nothing other than that you know they're a scam and that you've reported them to law enforcement. (And be sure to report them to all the agencies above each time they call you.)

http://www.challengedebtcollectors.com/videos ... -the-FDCPA.html

I just found this site that has videos of recordings from these scammers.  Very interesting!  I recognized "Stanley's" voice, but his name was "Peter".  I know that their voices all sound alike, but this one I could detect because he has a slur when he talks.  This video is just another verification of their violations of the FDCPA and that their threats are pointless.

Do not give them any money.  They are scammers claiming to be debt collectors.  They will not and can't do anything to you.  So don't worry.  the minute you hear that heavy accent voice, hang up immediately.  Advise people you work with that answer the phones that these people are illegal debt collectors and to hang up immediately.  Everything they say is a lie.  If they keep calling, keep hanging up.  They are NOT attorney's, law enforcement, work for the state or represent payday loan companies.  They make up American names and threaten, cuss and harrass people trying to collect an old debt or even debts that never existed.  Please, do not give them any money, do not give out your bank cards or bank account information.  They will take more than they say you owe and will even call you saying you owe more.

You can report them to the Florida Attorney General's Office, the FBI, FCC and the BBB.  The Florida Attorney General's office has an on-going investigation to catch these criminals.

So just hang up the minute you hear their voice.

Today it was a call from Kevin Marshall at a new number 512-501-2350.  This time he is from Huson(?)Law Dept.  The message is the same as always.  This one only butchered the first part of my first name and did not attempt the last name.  They don't even have my full name so I know I have no dealing with any company they claim to represent otherwise they would have my complete name.

In regards to "Officer White"  I did call him back when I got home.  He told me that this was not regarding a debt collection so he did not have to follow FDCPA.  He said it was a criminal matter and he was calling to prevent charges from being filed. He said that Cashnet was going to file charges against me if I did not pay.  I told him that I had never heard of Cashnet and he informed me that they were to biggest division of US National Bank.  I told him that I had never heard of them either.  He then informed me that charges would be filed the very next morning........I told him do whatever he had to do, but do not call me again.  So, today I am getting the same message from TX instead of NJ.  A month ago is was FL.

As I get calls from new numbers I will post updates.

Advise the people you work with and answer the phones that these people are scam artists.  Tell them the minute they hear that thick accent voice to hang up immediately.  Just keep hanging up.  And remember, they can't do a thing to you.  They cannot take you to court or arrest you.  They are a total joke.  They have filed NOTHING against you.  They say these things to scare you into paying them.  That's their scam.  They are all talk.  Period.

And it's funny, when I asked for a supervisor I got Peter Brown too.  First he claimed he was an officer and then a supervisor and then an attorney.  I kept asking which one he was and he hung up on me!  They are not a law firm, supervisors, officials that work for the state of Florida, investigators, law enforcement, or attorney's.  They are none of these things.  Sometimes they will say they work for an "infraction division".  And they say they represent their "clients" the payday loan place.  They do not represent the payday loan places.  The payday loan places have verified this and advised everybody to just hang up on them the minute they hear their voice.  They are just creepy little boys.

So don't worry.  They will not put you in jail or file criminal charges against you.  They even might say they are sending "officials" or "authorities" to come get you.  It's a lie too.  When they told me that, I said for him to send them.  I would LOVE to meet these "so-called" authorities!  Again, he hung up on me.  I have all their conversations and messages recorded and saved.  Since they were calling me at my place of employment, I reported it to our security department.  They turned all the calls and recordings to the FBI who in turn sent them to the FCC, BBB and the Florida Attorney General's office.  I have family in the FBI and it really made him mad that they are doing this and told me they would do all they can to see these people get caught.  And I believe him.  They've caught tons of other people who commit this sort of crime.  They are all in prison now.  They even caught people all the way in India.  These bad people can't hide anywhere!

Again, just hang up the minute you hear that voice.  And tell the people you work with to do the same thing.  They will probably call and call but eventually they will stop. And report them to the Florida Attorney General's office, your Attorney General's office, FCC, file a report on the BBB (Look up Jason Reed & Associates), and the FBI.

ok, Mark, this gets REALLY old.  Do you even know what the definition of "antiquates" means?  Here's the definition:

1. to make obsolete, old-fashioned, or out of date by replacing with something newer or better: This latest device will antiquate the ice-cube tray.
2. to design or create in an antique style; cause to appear antique.

So, explain what "they talk with good antiquates" mean.  I'm sure we would all like to know YOUR definition. As for your "apology"?  NOT ACCEPTED.

Oh, and another thing, you do not follow the guidelines of the FDCPA.  You have broken EVERY law of the FDCPA.  And please get this through your thick head:  YOU DO NOT REPRESENT PAYDAY LOAN CLIENTS.  These payday loan places have verified this.  They actually advise people NOT to deal with you people because you are a scam.  I keep laughing everytime you post a stupid little comment like this.  You say you "purely to help out and resolve any issues coming upfront", then STOP CALLING WHEN ASKED TO STOP AND DON'T HARRASS, CUSS, AND THREATEN.  But of course this makes no sense "issues coming upfront".  What does that mean?

For real though, everytime you keep posting a little "note" like this is really a waste of time on your part.  No matter what you say, nobody believes anything you have to say because it is all a lie.  Please stop doing that.  I'm actually getting a little embarrassed for you.

So Mark, please go back to that black little hole you and your associates live in.  You guys are a bunch of idiots and liars.  I have everything recorded too.  These recordings have been sent to the FBI, the FCC and the Florida Attorney General's office.  They all can't wait to meet you all.

Now all THIS "falls upon you".  Oh, and drive safely, Mark.
