I sponser a child and World Vision drove me crazy with mail every week and phone calls.I complained and told them if they were not happy with what I was donating I would move the money elsewhere. They advised that they would only send me mail regarding my child and mail wise they have been pretty good.
Lately I have been getting calls from them on this line. With call display I simply ignore them

You can call Bell customer service at (your area code) 310-2305 or 611, and get it blocked.

I get a call every darn day from them. About three times a week. They never say nothing. They just hang up. I have it where no one can see my number and where it is unlisted. My husband passed away, every since these people been calling me none stop. Just like the bank was doing asking if i want to buy life insurance. I wish they both would just bugger off.

I agree totally that World Vision should be better in investing in the children. We have received calls but as we don't know the number, and they don't leave a message I will not answer. We have been sponsors for going on 30 years and I believe in what they do but these relentless calls are unwarranted. World Vision, if you can read this I will NOT answer your telemarketing calls. You have my address.

If it is World Vision think again about sponsering them. Their CEO makes an annual salary of $400000.

We are sponsoring for years with World Vision.
After the concert of WATOTO, we decided to sponsor another child. They encouraged to even to write to "your" child.
Try:

God Bless you and your fmily.

I am getting very annoyed with these calls and the onslaught of mail for donations. We already sponsor 5 children. I have a mind to stop my support. That would be sad, because I always held World Vision in high regard.

In all fairness to those (such as us) with a right to privacy, World Vision has a relentless campaign. Once you sponsor a child (as we have done so for over ten years now), you get three campaigns mailed to you per week via Canada Post trying to get you to sponsor even more children. And you get a lifetime membership to a one-call-per-week campaign trying to get you to sponsor more children. We can barely make ends meet and these are tough economic times for all of us yet we still find a way to sponsor one child. I think World Vision needs to slow down a bit and appreciate what they get. Imagine the amount of money invested in these campaigns. It makes me question where all the money goes. None of this sits well with me. I would much rather sponsor a child through another organization who doesn't waste all their money on relentless, non-stop campaigns but that would only hurt the child we sponsor. World Vision, if you're reading this, please stop this relentless campaigning and put the money to better use. I'm using the call type of "telemarketer" because that's exactly what this is - telemarketing to get you to sponsor more children.

It's world vision...pick up the phone and make a donation. or better still sponsor a child ... it will make a world of difference to a child who really needs help... and it will make you feel good knowing that you've changed a life!
