You need to call the BBB and FTC and report their threats.. It against the law for them to harrass you, threTen you or call excessivly., anything o er 3 times a day is excessive....
Go on the internet and find Federal Trade Commision Laws...read up on what you can and cannot do...

They would call up to 7 times a day and not leave a message. When I did answer and asked why the were calling me at 6am on a Sunday morning, the basically lied and said that they never call before 9. They are rude and harassing. In sent a letter to them since there is no supervisor or manager that will talk to you on the phone and I never heard back.

Little store credit like that. They are the most annoying people on the planet. They will call up to 12 or 13 times a day on an auto-dialer to every number that they have for you, starting at 8am and calling EVERY hour till almost 10pm. They will call you at home, at work, on your cell phone, at your references #'s. That can add up to more than 40 ( FORTY ) CALLS A DAY !!! HSBC is the HONGKONG SHANGHAI BANKING CORP. They don't care about any laws they are breaking or how unethical their business practices are. There is no way to stop them from calling, short of a cease and desist order, and I doubt that would even stop them. Their agents seem to be farmed out in INDIA, so they could care less. I guess they figure "Whatchu gonna do about it ??? " 1 payment crosses in the mail and they SLAM YOU with 30.00% interest rates and lower your available credit to whatever you owe them at the time. Pricks. Read the fine print on every store card you apply for. If it says HSBC on it anywhere, tear it up and throw it away. RUN AWAY. Webster's defines Predatory Lending as ; see HSBC

I got a TV that didn't work and a phone from Best Buy which I brought back.
They keep calling.
Really dumb a**es.
Best Buy has lost any business that they would have had from me.
Jen 2011-06-06 20:57:39 Unknown
I am currently paying tons a few different credit cards who have worked with me to lower my interest rate and payments, yet HSBC refuses to do that and now they keep calling me NON STOP!!!! They told me the only way for me to stop receieving phone calls what to write them so if any of you would like to write them the mailing address is: HSBC Retail Services, PO Box 703, Wood Dale, IL 60191. They will not help my with my intrest rate nor payments. They don't even take into consideration that I've never missed a payment yet they accuse me of missing them.... They are a bunch of scam artists!!!!!

800-365-6538, they have been calling me non-stop. I purchased a TV through Best Buy and paid it off as agreed, yet they keep calling. When I listen to the messages they leave, no one says anything and sometimes I hear laughing in the background. They really need to get people who can speak English and act professional on their behalf. From know on that will be one question I ask when I purchase anything, if HSBC is backing it. I will not purchase. It's time we used our rights as consumers and Americans. People need to start speaking up on these and many other issues. FIGHT BACK!

By fair credit laws they can call between 8AM-9PM. If they call outside of that and your number is local to you(they base the time of balls off your phone numbers area code) then you can ping them for calling outside of the legal call time. Do note if you have an east coast phone number and are over in California you cannot ping them for calling at 5AM. That and they are not really losing any money by calling you. It's common store credit card practices, I unfortunately do the collections for most of the Limited Brand cards(I hate it). Tell them the last 4 of you ssn if it's not your account, technically that should be enough to mark it as a mismatch.

This is a great website as it has been able to identify two numbers for me that continue to call, don't identify themselves and never leave a message. It is unprofessional to not leave a message. It is unprofessional to call someone at work repeatedly. This company is eating my cell minutes. Perhaps they would like to be billed for them? The last time I talked to this company...I could not understand ONE WORD that the foregin rep spoke. When I asked for confirmation number, he gave me his name and some sort of "NDI" code which he said stood for "New Deli India." I'm not giving any foreigner any info this day in time.

I have been receiving calls from these creeps for weeks now and I am sick and tired with it! I just fiedl a complaint with the FTC and all others should do the same. They are harrassing me by making these calls at all hours of the day and I don't even do business with them. They refused to provide me any information as to why they are calling unless I provide my social security numeber to them...yeah, right! By the way, I was able to get them to admit that they were calling from a location in India..."can you say boiler room?"

Calling several times a day. They do not leav e a message.

I just reported them to BBB.
Ornery 2011-06-06 20:57:39 Unknown
Rattlesnake might be right, because the answering service is different.
Anyway, here is a number for HSBC for anyone who wants to "get back" at them: 800-959-13733
You should get a rep right away, just sit on the phone with them.. then hang up, just like they do.
BTW: HSBC handles a LOT of retail cards, not just Best Buy, Herbergers, Younkers, and other clothing stores are on their client list.

The do not call registry is for TELEMARKETERS, not bill collectors. I've talked to them before and they worked with me on my payment and stopped calling.
AMBER 2011-06-06 20:57:39 Unknown
this number calls my cell and work line
I have never missed a payment and a few months ago
did a Debt consolidation plan so they still are getting thier money
I get up to 6 calls a day and it is always during my working hours or late at night when i am getting my baby ready for bed. really annoying !!
vlg 2011-06-06 20:57:39 Unknown
they call several times a day and if you do pick up the phone, it tell you alll our operators are busy.
Karen 2011-06-06 20:57:39 Unknown
These people NEVER stop!!! They call my home phone as well & Never leave a message. It's anoying!! I have contacted the do not call service and reported them as I am on the list. The next time I am going to answer the phone and tell them I am having my Lawyer get in touch with them. That is my next step.
I want to harass them all times of day & night & find out where the people calling me live so I can call them at all hours day & night to their home,etc... I think we all should file a class action suite against them. What do you think??
Karen 2011-06-06 20:57:39 Unknown
I keep getting these calls on my cell phone in my voice mail but they do not leave a message. I had to look this phone number up and see who was calling me so early in the morning. They keep calling, but never leave a message. I do not answer any calls that I do not recgonize w/out a message.

After I switched my phone service from Tmobile to AT&T the calls started from 18003656538 and 18009591373. I don't even have HSBC and never heard of it until now!
Colleen Chapman 2011-06-06 20:57:39 Unknown
Many, many, annoying calls from this number. Usually early morning.
Michele 2011-06-06 20:57:39 Unknown
I get calls from both their numbers at least 10 times a day on both my cell and my home phone. They NEVER leave a message. I've never given them my home phone number. I have no idea how they got it being I am on the do not call registry and my home number is unlisted and non published. The few times I've answered the phone, all I get is a computerized message telling me to hold for the next representative. A representative never gets on and the phone eventually disconnects. I do have a Best Buy card, however, I've never used it. Its gotten to the point I have shut the ringers off on my home phone because, they have called me as early as 6am and as late as 11pm. I'm so sick and tired of being unnecessarily disturbed. When the cell rings I just send it right to voice mail. I've received one message on the cell however, it was a computerized message. There must be a way to stop this madness. Not being able to answer your phone or having to shut the ringers off in order to have some peace is a horrible way to live. I shouldn't have to cringe every time my phone rings.
Maryland and mad 2011-06-06 20:57:39 Unknown
They call my house at lease six times a day. The phone starts ringing at 8:00 am and does not stop until 10 pm.
Aaron 2011-06-06 20:57:39 Unknown
They call all day, even after telling them to only contact me via Mail. Even when i explained to them that I work during the night and that they are calling while I am trying to sleep. Best part is I talked to some moron in Indian back in September and told them i would send them 50 dollars a month until i am caught up, then with out missing a payment they sent my account to a collection agency, F them now they will get nothing.
Thank god we used billions bailing out companies like these

THIS IS HSBC WHO DOES BUSINESS FOR BEST BUY. IF YOU ARE ONE DAY LATE ON YOUR PAYMENT YOU GET THE NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS FROM EARLY MORNING UNTIL JST BEFORE NINE O'CLOCK AT NIGHT. I EVEN CHANGED MY PHONE NUMBER TI MY CELL PHONE SO IT WON'T RING AND WAKE EVERYONE UP, THAT DIDN'T HELP THEY DON'T CALL THE CELL PHONE NUMBER THEY CALL THE HOME NUMBER. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN THAT THINGS ARE TOUGH OUT THERE AND THEY WILL GET WHATEVER AMOUNT OF MONEY I CAN SEND THEM. I DON'T CARE IF I EVER USE THAT CREDIT CARD FOR BEST BUY AGAIN.
SJO 2011-06-06 20:57:39 Unknown
The call every hour 6 or more times a day. I know I own them money but they are the ones who messed up my Office Max account in February and they have never sent me a bill. I don"t have a account number so I can't call for a amount. These people never give up. I am on the No call list.
enoch 2011-06-06 20:57:39 Unknown
yeah Im getting called all the time. early in the morning, late at night etc. I owe them 2 dollars from my last bill. So funny yhtey must be loosing money trying to collect from me. The thing I hate the most is when I do answer it is silent like a prank call. So until this forum I had no idea who it was.
