calls and does not leave message

call all day and hangs up

I got a call from this Number 800-651-9743 and just let it ring due to there was no name is just gave the number and said UNKNOWN CALLER! I was curious as to whom it was, so I called it back, and the recording came on and said that it is a NON WORKING NUMBER.
If it is a NON WORKING NUMBER AND DISCONNECTED how in the world can they be calling from it?? Hmmmmmm, I did a search and found this site where people are having the same issues, but I haven't been able to speak to anyone, even if it would do some good.

We get a daily call from 800-651-9743. When we answer they hang up. Who is this?

If they are calling for local.com call 949-784-0800 and speak to a manager. He will contact the "off shore" company and get you removed.

I have received several calls a day for the past several weeks from this number and each time have asked that they add my name to the Do Not Call List, but to no avail.

Stupid Arab pieces of s**t keep calling for no reason.

This is a soliciter calling about updating web pages.  I have asked them to stop calling and reported that I am on the Do Not Call Registry.  The calls continue.

They call twice a day. For the past 3 weeks. I never answer but today I got sick of it. I answered and they didn't identify themselves. I just heard talking in the background. I kept shouting "what?" into the phone. I made her mad. After I asked to be put on the do not call list and hung up on her, she called back! HAHA!

Are you sure you wouldn't rather have them ADD you to the DO NOT CALL List?

They are a telemarketing firm.  I called them back and had them remove me from the Do Not Call List.

We keep getting calls EVERY day from this number.  We have never answered the call, but sometimes they call a couple times a day.  They never leave a message.

I got a call and told they wanted to speak to the manager or owner this is a residential # then they asked for the person by name and then spelled there name and then called me an idiot i completely understand what they what but i guess they are the idiots they dont even know who they are even calling

This number called, no one there when I said hello. I called back to see who called, the female voice answered the phone with "LOCAL INTERNET LISTING.COM"
I hung up.

Got a call wanting to verify my business address.  I asked for name and was given Seela Cross saying she was calling about zip web wanting to get the information correct for a local internet listing.  I asked her to hold and when I went back she had hung up.  I tried calling the number and I got a busy signal.

Foreigner keeps calling,  wants to know if my cell phone number matches my address will not answer when I call back.I have told her 6 times to stop calling and take me off their list. but they persist.  Has anyone been successful finding an address for them.  I would love to sue them for harrassment.

caller keeps calling constantly never leaving a message just breathing into answering machine, like some sort of pervert.i called the number back and got a no longer in service recording.wow how can that be.some kind of scam.

One additional piece of info: when I try calling the phone number back with our home line, I receive a message that this "number is not in service at this time". Um, I just received a call from this # less than five min. ago...how can it suddenly NOT be in service???

Received multiple calls from this number but husband refused to answer. I picked up and they asked for "Mr. (my last name - not my husband's)". I tell the woman that I don't know anyone here named "Mr. ***". She tries new approach by confirming the phone number; I tell her that that's the correct #. Then she tells me her name is "Bianca Garcia" and that she's calling on behalf of "???" (company info is given but is unintelligible because of the thick accent & background noise). She then tells me she's calling to confirm that "Mr. ***" qualifies for some kind of 'hardship assistance'. HUH? Then she starts asking, "Does anyone in your household have any unclaimed income either full time or part time?" I explain that I still don't know "Mr. ***" nor do we give out personal information to people making unsolicited phone calls. She hangs up on me. Anyone figure out who these idiots are? No, we don't have Discover card ANYthing...can't be Discover.

Got a call from them.  Tried to call back, says the number is disconnected.  wtf...

They call CONSTANTLY ....all day long and sometimes no one is there..other times they ask for my husband....We've TOLD THEM To take US OFF THEIR LIST!  they just called again....Legal Club is what the Caller ID SAYS!!

I just called them back and they are some soliciation company that was asking about my business listing on the internet.  I do have a business, but they were calling my HOME number.  I told her that the business was not at this number and to take this number off their list.  That's 2 I've gotten rid of today!!!

Repeated unwanted calls by these scam artists. We have told them several times that their services are not wanted and to remove us from their list and STOP CALLING. It does not matter, they continue to call, harrass and annoy.  Some of the callers will hang up as soon as they find out they are annoying and harrassing me.

Must be working...

I just called the number back and got a very pleasant woman...

I asked that they stop calling and she agreed... 15 seconds.

NOW, let's see if they actually stop calling...

Three calls.  Called back no answer.  Now they took the phone off the hook because it's a Friday night!!  I'll start calling them like crazy and see if they like it!!

I have ask them to stop calling.  Tonight I thought it would be fun to call them, so I did, got a message to please hold.  So I am doing that hopefully over the weekend, for 60 hours, on 15 lines.  that is $0.04 per minute per line, for an 800 number.  hopefully by Monday, they will notice the $2160.00 phone bill I am a very patient person.  I will let you know if they kept me on hold over the weekend.  Remember they ask me to "hold someone would be with me shortly".  If they keep calling me next week I will wait patiently on hold like they ask me to do.  if you read this you can call them as well 800-651-9743, just leave your phone off the hook, at least that will keep their "Demon dialer (term for a computer that calls a list of number-then when answered passes call to agent, if no agent is available, it will drop the call and try later) tied up so they can't make anymore calls", I recorded 2 phone calls when I actually spoke to someone. I could not have more infaticaly told them no i did not want their service, and take me off the list.  I got billed on my local phone bill the next month.  I called the number from the phone bill it was, 800-433-4518, "BusnessDirectOnline"(this is how it is spelled) Also its a good idea to put a 3-party billing block on your phone lines, so even if the telemarketers say you said yes when you didn't, they will not be able to bill you.
