I too got the same call...MANY times.  I called back and told them that I don;t know how they got my number but please take it off whatever list they have.  He said they probably got my number because I requested information...not likely.  We'll see if they call again!

Same bs as everyone else said... 1-800-878-2406 on messagesss...  but caller ID is "Unassigned" and shows number of 480-588-0703. I called the 1-800 number using *67 to block my name and number... and what do you know... no one answered. I then called right back without using the *67 option... and they answered right away. Kinda funny... they want to see who is calling them.... but make many attemps to block or mask who they really are.

When I called back, this very nice lady answered the phone, and I explained that both my home phone & cell phone are on the "DO NOT CALL" list... and to remove me number from and and all lists that they may have. And if I keep getting these calls, that could warrant legal actions against their company for harrasment. She agreed to add my number to their list of "Do Not Call"....   But... who knows.... will see if I get a third call tomorrow !

Rotten b*st*rd...  I wish he would call when I'm home...  I would screw with him....  Try asking for the telemarketer's home or personal cell number.. that you want to call them when you have a garage sale.. or a car for sale.... and you think that it would be a great deal for them... and that they should buy... and that you will call them every day for a week straight to remind them of the great deal you have for them !!!

I called them. The guy was all happy telling me their garbage.. when i told him i just did not want more calles.. he then got pissed and hung up. Then i called again and i got a lady this time... i just asked to be removed, she told me ok, that the calls "should stop eventually". Hope it's true.

Then i called the source of all this.. the original strange caller.
Horizon technologies, Horizon wireless, High Technologies.
they could not decide what company to answer.. the first two where the same girl. the second was a guy she transfered me to when i asked more about how they got my number. also same thing.. they would remove my number.
Their number is: 602-344-7777
that was my start of telemarketing HELL from the 480-588-0703 aka 800-878-2406

DO NOT DISTURB ME AGAIN WITH YOUR REPEAT SOLICITATION CALLS.  IT'S VERY IRRITATING.  ONE CALL IS ENOUGH AND IF I WAS INTERESTED, I WOULD CERTAINLY CALL BACK AND EXPRESS MY INTEREST.  YOU'RE SHOOTING YOURSELF IN THE FOOT BY MAKING IRRITATING REPEAT PHONE CALLS.

Same as everyone else.  Got about 4 calls in the last week or so from John from SAS.  Never signed up for it & my number is on the do not call list.  I plan to report his number both the 408 area code one and the 800 number to the donotcall.gov website.

Very annoying...

The call wasn't FROM 800-878-2406, that was the number he left for me to call to talk to this guy Strummer. He called from 480-588-0703 and said he was in Tempe AZ. and wanted to discuss a life changing opportunity with SAS. These type calls seem to always be some kind of racket designed to put money in the salesmans pocket. After all, if it was such a great opportunity whats he doing cold calling me about it? Unless that's the whole idea and I'd be doing the same thing he is, which isn't anything I'd be interested in.

I just got my new cell phone a week ago, and now I'm getting calls from the same company, but for me it's a girl. She's called me for the last two days. I'm 16, does she really think I'm interrested in a life changing business deal or however she puts it?

I also did a Google search, and this was at the top of the list.

i just got a call from this guy. which doesn't bother me so much except that i'm on the DO NOT CALL list both national and state. so how does that work, exactly? "Hey, I'm John Stommer and I can do whatever the frick I want, ta da." still, what i'd like to know is how he got my number. i've been looking for a job, sending out resume's hither and yon online, and i worry that the unscrupulous types like Mr. Strommer take advantage of that. anyone know how to bust this guy for ignoring the "do not call" list???

He called me first on Monday.  It is now Saturday, and the voice mail message he left said "This will probably be the last time I call."  It sounded rather recorded to me: the voice mail message didn't start right away, there was a click.  Today, the message said that there were 3 packages: one for $499, one for $399, and one for $299 (Correct me if I'm wrong about the last one, I deleted it too quick).  I'll leave an update if he calls again after telling me that this is probably going to be the last time he calls.

These calls from John Strommer ( 800-878-2406 ) all started coming to me after I requested information from Russ Dalbey ( Winning in the Cash Flow Business ) while watching a late night infomercial.

Dalbey's organization appears to be honorable because I just called them and told them that I wasn't interested in their opportunity and that I would be returning my materials that I received. A pleasant sounding lady at the other end of the line said that I would get a credit card refund within 7 to 10 days ... no questions asked.

I am quite sure that there is some connection because I used a number with Dalbey's organization that I don't usually give out. It is a telephone number that does not ring anyplace but rather just sends me an email. I listen to the voice messages on-line. Consequently, Strommer's daily calls are no bother. I just delete the emails when they are from him. See: http://www.privatephone.com to set-up such a number to give out to people when you are not sure if you really want them to have your telephone number.

Aloha,

Lopaka

Yup - me too -- multiple calls multiple days about a business opportunity I can't afford to pass up.  Got nothing when I Googled the number 480-588-0703 on my voicemail id, but got this site when I Googled the 800 number left ...

Tried www.sas.com but got website for legit software company.  Now I definitely know not to call back.  Thanks for the place to sound off.

I just found this interesting article at consumeraffairs.com titled "Arizona Settles with Internet Work-At-Home Promoter" May 2, 2006
"The state of Arizona has reached a $250,000 settlement with Smart Advertising Solutions, LLC, a Tempe company that sold Internet-based business opportunities to consumers nationwide.

The settlement resolves allegations that Smart Advertising Solutions (SAS) made deceptive and misleading claims to consumers regarding the amount of earnings they could make through a home-based business sold by SAS."

I also did a google search of "sas tempe az" and followed this link when I saw the name John Stromer. I was hopeful that it was a legit company who got my number from a job search engine because I have experience with a computer program called "S.A.S. Enterprise Guide". Now that I know it is a hoax I'll delete the message and warn my family and friends.

i, too received a message from this number, 1 each day for the last 3 days.  i searched google for "s a s tempe arizona" since he indicated in one of messages that he was calling from there.  google sent me to this web page.

i read all the posts and out of curiosity, i called the number and believe it or not, he answered!  he indicated that they are not an MLM, pyramid, blah, blah... AND! viola!  one can get started for less than $500.00!  there, of course, was more discussion but my curiosity has been satisfied...just thought i'd pass along my "experience".

Basically the same as everyone else.  This guy (whom ever he really is and his business)are extremely persistant.
Please use your comon sence and go to the national do not call registary (www.donotcall.gov) to give this person the message. GO AWAY!!!
Just a fyi, I got so fed up I started asking questions when he called(other time I didn't answer). The second I told him I didn;t have access to a few hundred dollars today he said goodbye.  If this is't a red flag I do not know what is.

           Take care everyone

Same as the other posts--this guy calls every day, leaving a message about an opportunity that will "change my life."

I try to call back in order to tell him to take me OFF the calling list, but it just beeps.  A pain in the ^&* is what it is.  If it keeps up, I might have to change my cell phone number.
