800-947-2167. Get the call pretty much everyday. My car warranty is about to expire. I have never had a warranty on my car. In fact, the car isn't even in my name.

calls and hangs up

Interesting that this thread has quieted down so suddenly... Have they truly "ceased and desisted", or have they merely started using a different number? My g/f did get another call from the same people last weekend, but she didn't check to see if it was from this same number.

I got a call from Warranty Solutions. They call every month and last month i stayed on and told them to take me off their call list. When they called again on 4/28 I stayed on for a live agent again. I told him I had asked to be taken off the previous month and how could I file a complaint. he said he'd take me off the call list. I asked his name and for a confirmation number regarding our conversation. He quickly hung up on me.

Ben, rep number 273 at a company said to be Warranty Solutions, caller ID number 800-947-2167 told me that there are many other companies using their recording and that this was the first time by his records that Warranty Solutions contacted us. Well, we have been keeping track-this same number and company name has called us fifteen times in the past four months. We have pressed "1" as directed in the recording to be removed from the call list, to no avail.

They call and say your warrenty is about to expire. When I asked what car it was they had no answer...I dont have any car in my name...never have. Its a scam but I dont know how to have them stop calling or take me off the list.

I've gotten a call from this number several times. A computer tells me my car warranty is about to expire and I must CALL NOW to stop it. I don't own a car, so don't have a warranty. They have been calling my husband too, both of us are getting calls on our cell phones. Is that even allowed?

"2nd call about auto warranty."
Lee 2011-06-06 20:58:44 Unknown
My girlfriend has been getting these calls for a couple months now, and it is driving us nuts! The message is always re: an auto warranty, never about credit cards or health care or anything else. Just now she pressed 1 to speak to someone; when she asked them to take her off the call list they hung up on her w/o a word. She is interested in Jim's response from earlier today, as she is also a T-mobile customer who is not in the habit of sharing her number too much. For what it's worth, I have a different cell phone provider and have yet to receive a call from these people (knock wood...).

I received a call to consolidate my credit cards. I have only one credit card under $2000.00 balance. When I asked to be taken off the list she hung up on me.

Make's me wonder who's worse the scamers or the Cockroaches that give my PRIVATE info out!!

My 17 yr old's cell phone was ringing with the 800 number so I answered it and got the same BS. I hit 1 and the person answered asking if I wanted a warranty from Warranty Solutions, I advised them that this was a 17 rd old's phone who doesn't own a car. He proceeded to ask me if I wanted a warranty. I advised him BMW gives me an excellent warranty, but he continued to press. I advised him not to call my son's number again. Within 5 minutes, he got another call from Warranty Solutions, this time they spoofed their caller id to some Sprint customer out of California. Sheesh. FCC complaint filed.

20090424 - 17:25 EDT Received call from 1-800-947-2167
(*On 20090326 at 18:22 EDT received identical call from 1-800-722-8596 from a company claiming to be "Warranty Solutions"*)
After a minute on hold, I was connected with "Tonya". I didn't ask the company name this time because last time the caller made a few rude comments and hung up. I gave her a made-up year, make, model, false name, recently canceled land-line number & a zip that wasn't mine. She put me on hold and transferred me to another "representative"; Steve.
Steve claimed to be representing "Vehicle Services" outside St. Louis / St. Peters. This company was a "broker handling extended warranties on every vehicle..." I talked to him briefly about being more interested in the company that forwarded me. He claimed they don't make calls, but have people calling in. He referred me their web site: "vsiwarranty dot com".

Calls daily using my airtime has even left voicemails re: car warranty. I do not answer it yet I am still being billed for the airtime. So, much for DO Not Call Lists!
Wally 2011-06-06 20:58:44 Unknown
Car warranty scam (recorded voice). Cell phone call, too, which worries me. Put them on my "reject call" list. The DNC list seemed to work for a while, but the scammers have figured out how to get around it. We need advanced technology to fight back.

Calls all the time on my cell phone. I have a Trac Fone and it cost me. I pushed "2" which the call say will remove me, but it does't.
J Belcher 2011-06-06 20:58:44 Unknown
Unsolicited phone call on my cell telling me this is my second notice that my car warranty is about to expire. Since I do not have a warranty on my car this is a scam and the # 800-947-2167 should be shut down by the authorities.
Eric 2011-06-06 20:58:44 Unknown
Got a call from 1-800-947-2167. I made up a fake name and car model so I could hear their pitch. Sounds like they just wanted my info and then wanted to transfer me to a "Warranty specialist". They said they were from a company called "warranty solutions" in Atlanta, GA. I was reading this thread and saw that someone else told them that they were in southern california. I can't even find a website for this company. Shady shady shady.

Just got a call from them, said from Warranty Solutions. They asked me information to connect to the Senior Representative. They asked my year, make, model, my zip code, then my last name. That's when I started asking them questions like their number, their address. They hung up on me.
