This number calls and wants to verify my minor child's phone # and address.  They get rather testy when you don't do so

Called and asked for my info and my son's birthday; claimed they needed to talk to me because he was a minor, but wouldn't tell me why.  I refused to give information to some unknown caller, and they would only give me this info:

However, they CALLED from a South Carolina number: 803-217-3809.
Fishy business, to say the least.

These calls are coming frequently... Several a day.  State it is a personal business matter.  I am working at church in the office.   How can I get them to stop?  Our CID is full of calls from 'unknown' numbers.  I probably get 10 - 12 a day from all sorts of numbers that I cannot identify.

803-217-3809 calls nearly everyday and usually doesnt leave a msg if I dont pick up.  This time they did, saying call bk 800-962-7561 with a reference number "xxxxxxxxx".  Did not identify what company and I have no past due bills or dentist affiliation.  When I do pick up it is pre-recorded message saying if you are "(some unintelligible name)" please press "X" now, if you are not "so-and-so" disconnect this call now.  I disconnect bcause it is not me and they keep calling.

These people have called several times telling me that they are calling about a personal business matter and ask to call back, but they never identify who they are or where they are calling from.

these are dept collectors, the specialize in collecting for denist's offices. if you are recieving a call from them, it means your spouse is not paying the bills

Call back and tell them to remove your number. They have caller ID. I used to work there.

If these people are suppose to collect from dentists offices that is funny considering I have not been to a dentist office in a long time and have no bills from one.

The voicemail they left for me said they are from Amcall (sic?) to collect a debt. I believe it, because I have 2 outstanding bills right now that I can't pay.

Amcol systems (debt collector for medical/hospital) left 2 messages on my prepaid cell from 803-217-3810, but told me to call 800-962-7561 and reference account # "xxxxxxxx" Haven't called them back yet, I don't know why they are calling me as I'm 19 and I do not have any debt.  BTW, their website is amcolsystems.com

Talked to a Mafia-type guy named Brian. Wanted to make payment arrangements but was told to defer my CAR payment for 5 months to pay off a $1188.00 debt. After I laughed and told him that he must be on crack to think I was gonna mess up my credit to ge another vehicle in the future, he didn't quite think that was very funny. So I just told him, I have your number; don't call me I'll call you. No tin the business of trying to help someone pay off a debt but instead, it's pay this or we start to get it another way. Fine and good lucl with that, Amcol!

Numerous calls from either "Miss Presley" or the office of "Miss Presley" for "Richard Parker" (never heard of this individual!), with urgent business that they are closing.  I have called these people three times telling them they have the wrong number, but they keep calling and leaving voicemail messages for this person.  The lady I spoke with said she was with a collections agency and that this gentleman owed them money.  The calls stopped for two weeks, then resumed on a daily basis this week.

Gentleman called my work phone number and left a voicemail stating I needed to call him back urgently to get some "very important information."

Caller left voice mail that they were calling about urgent personal business but did not specify who they were calling for or the company they work for.

Called seeking Adult in the house. Claimed to have urgent information. Refused to identify self only left first name and number.

Leave message about urgent personal business?  No company name?
