keeps calling me... who is this? i don't answer... no msg left...

This organization calls annually.  I contribute sometimes but if not, they get very annoyed and call to see why.  Twice over the years, I have lost my job, but when I tell them I can't contribute because I am not working, they really could care less and although I tell them I can't even pay my bills, they keep lowering the amount I can give, as low as $11. They want my money even if it means I can't eat.  Unbelievable!

they call but if you call your phone company have them block their number. or press *60 on your phone if you have cox phone and follow instructions to block them out.  I filled to Do not call Registry and FTC but no answer from them yet.

They call and do not leave a message. They also use the number 757-512-5888. I usually let calls from these numbers go to voice mail but they are calling every day, several times a day and it's beyond simply annoying. It is becoming harassment. I think that since they are supposedly collecting for the FOP I may keep my police whistle handy and next time they call I'll pick-up quickly and give them a nice blast. May not do any good but it can't hurt and it might make me feel better.

I think I'm at the beginning of my nightmare.  I agreed to make a donation.  Right away they started nagging me about how soon was I going to send in the payment.  Yesterday, about three weeks after I sent the check, I got another invoice for the amount that I had previously paid saying that they had not received it yet.  I checked my on-line bank staement and it has not cleared yet but now I'm wondering if they are going to start harassing me for another check and then cash both of them.

I get calls from this number every day, several times a day and let it go to voice mail.  I donated to the Fraternal Order of Police a couple of months ago, so after seeing one other post that connected the two, that makes sense.  I wish they would stop calling!!

I am so tired of being harassed by this organization. We've asked for them not to call and we are on the National "Do Not Call" list, however they persist.

Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) of Virginia is one group that uses this annoying fundraiser.  Maybe if we contact the FOP directly, it might help.  Big emphasis "might."  Just complaining to a real person makes me feel better.

I receive calls from these people all of the time! The 804 area code is based out of Richmond, Va and surrounding areas. Very annoying!

Interestingly, the number comes up on caller ID as "Local Call"--but it is not local to where I live.  And while I didn't answer--I don't generally answer numbers that I don't recognize--they didn't leave a message, either.  And I resent that they called on a Sunday--my day of rest.

got a call from a very rude person named Tasha who says she is from the records department - had to ask her three times to repeat her name and get after her more than once to identify what "organization" she was supposedly calling for - seems my husband said he would give money donation to fraternal order of police - checked with him and found out the check was sent last month and was fortunately a small amount.  DO NOT DONATE TO THESE PEOPLE!!!  Although this is a virginia number, I researched online and this is a scam, there is a company called JAK in West Virginia that collected something like 26 million dollars using this scam and they kept 17 million of it.  People if you are going to donate give it directly to your local chapters and do not believe this crap from nasty telemarketers...

Caller never leaves a message. Says Local call, but has an 804 area code. Fraternal Oder of Police is not actually anything to do with the police but a company that calls in there behalf for fund raising. They usually start out with, "this is officer(NOT)so and so" It is actually not an officer at all... they continue with "there is no problem or emergency,( we just want to Hawk our stuff)and they continue to sell you stuff for a donation. The fact that they pretend they are an officer is against the law. It's impersonating an officer. They also bring the stuff to your door which I don't like.

I live in VA.  I have not donated to VA FOP, through this supposed charity work, in over a year because of their harassing phone calls.  They call once a day, including weekends.  This last call was received at 8:00 am.  After advising me their office has not received my donation, I informed them I have not made any pledges to donate to them in a long time.  The caller advised it was my wife who made the pledge.  Interesting thought, my wife has been out of town for over a month caring for a sick relative.  Best advise, hang up on them.  I am a law enforcement officer and if you decide to donate to the FOP, give to your local chapter.  We need to shut this group down.  Threats of law suit for harassment are weak at best, even after keeping records of these annoying phone calls and informing the caller of your intent to sue.

Add me to the list.  They called here this morning.  I just picked up and hung up on them. I noticed with some of the other callers that if I tell them that they have called a business number that they usually apologize and hang up.

They call everyday around 8:00pm. It's driving me crazy. How do they get around the Do Not Call List???

This caller continues to call at odd times of the day and night, NEVER leaves a message.  If there is anything that can be done to stop this, I would greatly appreciate it.

This person called my home and left no voice mail. underneath the number the call was classified as a local call!!!Can't figure out why a VA # would say local call in colorado?

Two calls this week both at 8:30 a.m. local time and no voice messages.  (I didn't answer either.)    I'm sorry I don't have anything to add, but wanted to say I appreciate this site for the information it collects.

They just called and said that his name was William Brady.  The number came up as a local call.  I told them that the person they asked for was not here and could I take a message.  They just hung up in my face.
