# was on my caller id when I arrived home; as H Stogner, but when I called it back to see who it was this evening, the answering machine said "office is closed...." but the name of the "office" was not given. ODD. I'm blocking it!

I GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER AND WHEN I CALL IT BACK IT GOES TO VOICE MAIL. I THOUGHT IT WAS A SPRINT NUMBER SINCE THEIR DISPLAY WILL SAY TEXAS. THEY ONLY CALLED ONCE.

I have received calls from that number with TX on the caller ID and have never answered.  But they keep calling.  I spoke to a state trooper friend of mine and they said that any actual money being collected would be from a live person and no machine would be operating the calls.  Also said that any time someone calls collecting money for any law agency that you can ask for something in writing about their charity and if they are legit they can mail it to you.  The fakes don't have anything to send you and make you feel guilty for not guaranteeing a donation on the phone. Think I'll blow a whistle in the receiver next time.

I got this call Sunday evening around 7:30 on Feb. 24. I didn't answer because I don't pick up for any calls where I don't know the caller. Mine also had TX as the caller I.D. Here's where the rubber meets the road. The do not call list is a joke. As our former Texas vice president John Nance Garner once said, "It's about as worthless as a spitoon full of warm spit (or some other warm fluid)." We need to write strong letters to our congressmen and senators and tell them to go back and close all the loopholes. make it illegal for any organization under any circumstance to call a do not call number for any reason. Hell, they could make it apply to ex-spouses and annoying inlaws while they're at it!

Got a call tonight from 817-465-1717, caller id says "TX."  I said "hello" twice and then hung up.  Called the number back and got the same recording with a man saying the office was closed and to leave a message.  If they call back, I'm not answering!

I received two (2) calls this week from the same number. caller id only said TX. Phone disconnected when I answered. I don't get the point of it all.

I keep getting a call from this number as well.  817-465-1717  He tries to get you to give money for a State Trooper fund for killed in the line of duty officers.  I have no problem with that, but there had better be a state trooper come to my house to get the check.  This is a scum bag trying to get money for nothing and to prey on the officers slain doing their duty.  Please don't give them the time of day.  If you like tell them to send a trooper in uniform and in a state trooper car to your home.  You can bet no one will show up. I don't know how to block the calls, but I wish I did. The do not call list is not worth a darn thing against this type of scum bag.

I also got a call from this number. They said nothing and hung up.  I called it back. They said the office was closed and to leave a message but the message box was full to try and call back later.   They never gave the office name. block it. this number needs to be blocked

Received this call with no name.  Returned the call and reached answering machine "out of office, etc."  This is very annoying.

I came home, checked my caller ID and found that I missed a call from that same number at 8:06pm. I called back and got that stupid message. Then I went to google and reverse phone searched and found all these post. Apparently from what I have read the person the number comes up to in Arlington, this H.Stogner is not the person that is calling. They say it was an old number and reissued to someone else. It's possible, I reverse phone searched myself and the name that comes up is the person that had it before me and I get tons, and I mean like tons of calls a day from credit agencies, cell phone companies, bill collectors, etc. for that person. If that number calls back again I won't be nice!

I also got a call from this #. When I answered, the other person (if a person is at the other end), hung up on me.

Rec'd a call from this number at 7:35 this evening...I did not answer, but called back later...rec'd the same dumb message "Thanks for calling the office..leave message" Then I was told message box was full...This is strange.

Couple calls from Tx missed.  No one's at "the office," and voicemail's full.

I just got a call from this number also and it said TX on my caller ID.  Of course I didn't answer it being that I didn't know who it was.  I just did a reverse look up and here I am.  I tried blocking the number but the recording said "the number you have dialed is not available with this service".  What's the point in call blocker when you can't block whoever you want?

just got a call from TX didn't answer it, I never answer numbers I don't know, but I'm guessing they are crooks trying to take your money, I used to get calls from a number which showed up state troopers and asked for money, I kept getting one or two daily calls and when you called back it was a voicemail saying the offices were closed.  NEVER give a donation by phone, if you feel donating, contact that charity yourself.

Received a call from them last night at 7:32 PM.  Caller ID said "TX", but we did not answer as we always do when we don't know who is calling.  Beware! is all I have to say!

you most definetly are paranoid. this company runs it's donations if you want to make one by mail. it's 100% legitemate. you won't be asked for your CC information.

well it doesn't. because the do not call list is a sham. it's run by the FTC which isn't even government. but the callers will take you off the company's call list, IF you are polite. i've noticed that if you talk rudely you will be responded to rudely.
