VanRu Credit Corporation for Midnight Velvet - calls my work number several times a day for a person who worked here 9 months ago. (I am new) Luckily, we have caller ID here so I just don't answer it and erase the vm's.  My greeting is on the vm so go figure.  It's driving me NUTS though!

Called on 1-30-08 talked to a woman at VanRu Credit Corporation looking a person name is Cory. I owned this phone for 6 month and have been getting call for this guy every month.

Some one also called from same number and asked me that I owe him $1025.00 for a purchase I made at best buy.

should we report this to police??

very rude, would not even understand that i am not the person they are looking for.  have complained to the FCC 5 times.  and they have been notified; however they STILL call.  They seem to be black and VERY pushy.

i have recived a call from this number (8477590798),stating that i have to pay $146.45 towards the gas bill which i never had.

They called me 10 times in the span of about 5 mins after I told to stop calling me. I will be filing a police report tomorrow, and filing a small claims court case against them for violating FTC rules.

any progress with the harassment case?

thats exactly what happens. the only reason i can think of why they do that is so they could technically say they "called".

Well today received actually a personal phone call, from this collection agency... was a very disturbing call. so i called the number back my cell number was not in their system, but did come to the conclusion this disturbing personal caller was actually using the company access for her own personal reasons. May I add on a voicemail she knows every address i have had and she would come and kick my A**! well iam going to get lawyer, file a lawsuit against this company also file a police report against the person calling wth the saved Vmail. i will keep everyone informed. as this progresses

The same thing happened to me ... they left a voice mail message indicating they were trying to reach someone with an entirely different name.  What's up with that?

the girl I spoke to was kim, when I asked to speak to her supv she said they were busy, she gave me this number to call 877-209-5713. seems shady to me.

these a holes just called me about a debt I paid ages ago to wells fargo they threatened to close my other bank accounts. I think this is very fishy. I know I paid that debt, I will call wells farg next to find out what is wrong with these people.

My parents keep getting a phone call from this company claiming to be a reference for a job. They ask for my number. They call them 3-5 times a day. I am trying to get a mailing address that is not a postal box. I am writing a letter to cease contacting my family and friends.

told them when they would get the're money, still was not good enough they call from 3 different numbers 8 to 10 times a day. I'm write them a letter to stop all calls.

This company calls me 2-3 times a day saying they are collecting for an account my husband has.  They never leave a message but I have called the number back 3 times only to hear that my husband and I are not even in their system.  We do not even have a debt with them that they can see!  They are also extremely rude when they call and I have asked them not to call numerous times as they are always calling my cell phone.  Any ideas how to make it stop?

I get these calls on my cell phone only and they never even stay on the line long enough to talk... I pick up and they hang right up... I'm getting really sick of this...

person keeps calling from this number and either hangs up or tells me they are a collection agency for a company whom I have already made payments to..very persistent and rude

I keep receiving calls from this number with a machine that wants me call about some bill.  I have no idea what they're talking about.

This is the Van Ru collection company. They leaves messages stating they are trying to collect a debt and name a person I don't even know.
