Received a call from these people at my office number today, claiming that if I didn't call them back I would be arrested. Called them back and explained 1.) that i'm aware that they are scam artists, 2.) that they are calling a federal agency and they needed to remove this number from whatever list they had at which the gentleman laughed and said this is not a federal agency. Interesting enough since I work for the Army Corps of Engineers and thats the number that they are calling. After he laughed he hung up. Guess I'm going to have to report them to my chief of secuirty..

I mess with them.  In fact, I keep calling them back and harassing them!!! Seriously guys, lets be REAL with these guys.  Speak to them with a heavy US/Southern accent and claim that you are Mohammad Jones or Osama Smith.  Fair game is Fair game.  They are calling us and saying they are "John, Nick, Matthew, etc....Fair is Fair!  Also, Indian people hate homosexuals, so guys, girl it up a little and ladies, Butch it up  some!! They will stop calling.  Not prejudice or racist, just stating facts!  :)

Called me today about an important legal matter, claimed I owed Cash Advance of USA money.  I stated that was impossible since I have never taken out a cash advance.  And that if they claim I did send me the proof.
They asked for my address and I told them since they are the ones claiming I owe money they should have it.
At this point they got angry and hung up.  They had called once before claiming if I didn't pay up they were entitled to take my house;  I laughed and gave them my lawyers name and number.

That number first called my cell phone saying they would issue a warrant for my arrest if I did not pay them $1,000 immediately, I reported the call to ocala sheriffs dept and ocpd, they had my social security number, gentleman's name was brad Nelson or Daniel smith from cbi(criminal bureau investigations) my cell is 352-239-5336 please call me for a follow up of what happened. Thank you

I was at work and the man name Howard George called my JOB and told my supervisor i needed to call him asap. Then i give them a call back and the man name Raymond answered didnt say what company he was from he said that he was calling on behalf of Cash Advance Loans and that i have an outstanding balance of 1500 dollars that i have not paid back. Well 1st off i havent even taken any loans out at all but my Sallie Mae and that loan is FARRRR away from 1500 so i told him i have no idea what loan he was talking about he said SEE YOUR A LIAR then he got mad and started yelling at me talkin about DONT ACT STUPID LIKE YOU DONT KNOW. He said you are going to go to jail and you have 3 pending warrants out on you as of 2mar if you do not settle this matter today. I said we 1st off where is your professionalism and 2nd i dont have any loans from there so maybe you have the wrong one he says is this __ ___ SSN ending in ___ i said yes he said I GOTCHA!!! so i hung up he calls back so my sister called me also so i merged the calls because i was very upset about it and while he was trying to get money out my sister interferred and was asking him what charges and the dates in which the loan was taken out he said around 2010-2013 he did not give a specific date. STRIKE 1. STRIKE 2 my sister said that if we have to we will get a lawyer it made him made and so he started yelling and calling US thieves and so my sister told him to shut up cuz he wouldnt let her talk he said did you just tell me to shut up i said yup she did so she asked him his branching location he said BYE!!!!! I went to the local sheriff dept and notified them of this because they could actually cause someone to lose there job good thing i called my supervisor and notified her of this problem but i want them to call back so i can tell them a few words and then tell them i am reporting them to the FTC!!!!!! they are a***oles who is just trying to get money and ruin people lives.

I just reported them...I added the number to do not call list and complained of harassment...But they are still leaving messages about idk what.  "Legal Department" of unknown company for money I didnt borrow. I reported them to the FTC. I guess we will see what happens.

I told them when I talked to them that I had reported them to the FTC and told them that I knew they were trying to scam me. It's been a week since I told them that and I hadn't heard from them since. Hopefully that conversation made them leave me alone.

Call him back at that number and see if he gives you a different name (mine did), let him talk, then tell him you have passed his number off to the Federal Trade Commission for fraud, and watch how quick he backtracks :)

I don't know who this is either but he left a very long message on my voicemail in an accent that I really couldn't understand threatening to call my boss and I would lose my job over some issue that I don't even know what he's talking about....  Should I call him back and tell him to F*** off or just ignore it?

Same number...yesterday his name was Barry Cooper, today it was Donald Smith, I talked to him today and told him that what they were doing was fraud and I had the FTC looking into it, he yelled "ok! ok!" and hung up on me. What a joke.

I received a call today and was told that I took out a $300 Cash Advance loan, and that I failed to pay it, and an arrest warrant was being issued. I googled it and found this page. It is a phishing attempt to get something for nothing.

Called these idiots back just to hear what they had to say. They tried to tell me I defaulted on a recent payday loan through cash USA. I told them that cash USA isn't even the one who lent me the loan that it was cash central. They said that cash central was one of their companies and that I needed to settle this with them at that time or face serious consequences. They were saying that if it would go to court I would have to pay them 8500 bucks when the loan was only for 400. I told them that I had googled the number which they were calling from and had alerted the FTC and the attorneys generals office concerning them. After I told the idiot I was talking to to go scam someone else and hung up on them, I called cash central who assured me my loan was in good standing and that they were in no way affiliated with cash loans USA. I can't believe these idiots actually get people to send them money.

Got a call from this number saying they had a legal matter against me and my SSN. I didn't answer and after reading this forum, I won't answer. Oh yeah, he had a heavy Indian accent too.

I got a call today from someone called Christi (heavy Indian accent) who was looking for my underage daughter claiming she was with the "Investigation Department."  She then called my office looking for me and asking to speak to the "manager." (That would also be me)  I took the call and she was very rude, telling me  that she was with the investigation department and was going to send the US Marshal out to arrest my daughter (Bring it on, Sista!)  Finall she told me this was for a payday loan the my UNDERAGE daughter had.  At this, I laughed since me kid has no "payday" (no job) and doesn't even know her SSN.  This made the woman mad and she called my daughter a "hooker."  (not a smart idea to call a child names to her MOTHER!)  I called this woman every name in the book at that point, then hung up and called the state police.  The nice trooper said that this is a SCAM out of West Africa in order to get your banking info!  Don't give it to them.  The US Marshal's will not come out and arrest a minor even if there were marshal's in my area.  It would be a civil matter anyway- no arrests to be made.  He said that they could have gotten info on her from a student loan we applied for with our bank.  Believe me, my bank is going to get an EAR FULL today about this if they released info about her.  I have reprted this company and person to the FTC.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
