I picked it up and got a recording saying they were sorry they missed me. (Um, I answered it. That's NOT missing me.) The recording said they were Comcast and that if I wanted to be taken off the list, to press 1. I did not press 1 because that would probably just encourage them to abuse me further.

Got a call today 3/5/14. I answered my phone and after a delay, a rep from Comcast/Infinity came on the line wanting to sell me a bundling package.  They seemed legit because they knew the details of my current package, including the pricing.  I didn't bite.  I'm not too concerned about a scam, at least from somebody out of Comcast/Infinity.

Comcast computer robocalls until someone answers...then the Rep tries to up sale you on promotional offers...call the number back (toll free) and select the remove me from your list...takes up to 30 days for the updated don't call status to be processed.
Jesus Christ!...17 harassing hang up calls in 3 days because I don't answer the phone?
I'm already a customer.
...but I'm now looking for a company that considers my money an exchange for services contracted and not for funding internal call lists for the sales department.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is an identity theft scam.  I'm moving to a new house.  There is a month long period between move out (old house) and move in (new house) so we're staying with my parents for the month.  I cancelled comcast at the old address because they couldn't just suspend the service for 30 days.  The woman on the phone claimed to be from a third party (PLK Group?  TLK Group?  I couldn't understand) acting on behalf of comcast.  She was very nice offered a good deal for internet and TV.  I was a little hesitant about giving my SSN but she assured me it was needed for a credit check.  After doing some quick searching online, I found out that comcast does this as well so, taking that and the fact that they knew I had just cancelled service into account, I figured she was legitimate.  I provided an e-mail address, to which she promised to send an order confirmation.  I also asked the woman if the dispatch for my install would be created with comcast immediately and explained that comcast had missed dispatches in the past.  She assured me that my order and dispatch would be setup immediately.  I never received an e-mail.  I called comcast the next day and was told that there was no order or dispatch setup.  I placed an order through them.  I called this 855 number back and a new lady answered.  I explained the situation and asked what was going on.  I was told that it takes orders 24 to 48 hours to get into comcast's system.  I called her on that and said the first lady I talked to told me it was immediate.  She asked to place me on hold and never came back.  BEWARE OF THIS NUMBER!  Now I'm going to have to monitor my credit report.

I got calls from this number too - 2 days ago and now today. Static when I picked up the phone. CREEPY!

Have received incessant phone calls from this number. I never answer. They call almost daily.
Apparently 855 isn't even a North American area code.

someone on another phone lookup site says its from comcast, which i'd say is very likely since i've just cancelled their service.

9:30 AM.  Unknown caller.  Starting to call me regularly.  Leaves no message.  Added to my address book as "Telemarketer," so I won't answer by mistake.  Maybe I'll go onto my cellphone's webpage and see about blocking the number.
