Have been using AOL technical support for several years and then a month ago they called my phone telling me my computer wasn't  allowing their updates. Since I already had their icon on my desktop I logged in. At that point they tried to sell me computer life time protection for 399.00. And tried to intimate me. I suspected scam and changed my password and removed their icon.

I could not get logged in on my computer. I called a number that appeared to be AOL Technical support. I was told I had been comprimised by Trogan third party software and thay could correct the problem for $ 149.99.  I stupidly gave them my credit card number. They changed everything on my computer. All passwords, codes and even the IPAddress.  My daughter went into my computer and changed everything again. I called AOL Tech. support and ask them if they had a H.G. working for them. I gave them his Tech code, the case number, his extension number, his phone number and what bank appeared on the computer screen while he was working on it.  I called the AOL fraud department and did the same thing.  I called my bank and reported it. I called the card company and reported it.  As it stands now they cant do anything until it appears on the actual statement. This scam came from the UK, England. The company that processed the card was Allied Wallet.  The company or person that scamed me go by Tech Squad. The bank account was under, EW-Tech Squad. Hope this information helps someone so they won't have to go through this.  I'T HORRIBLE! I've been in front of my computer for two days.

For the first time, I can not access to my hotmail accnt. An on line message appears saying : Microsoft  account - It looks like someone else might be
using your account. To help you and only you get back into xx_xxhotmail.com
we need to verify  that it's yours. A 1 855 826 6765 # appeared (Techinical
Support) I called the # ans asked them they are connected to MNS Hotmail.
He answered in the affirmative and he could fix the problem. He painted a scary problem facing me but for $299 and later on $199 he will fix it. I could pay by
credit card. NOW I am getting suspicious, Never ever give credit card info on line or tel. I hung up. WHAT A CROOK AND CON ARTIST.

This company calls themself Technical Support Today.  I cannot find this company anywhere online.  They scammed my father out of $299.99 for tech support after their number appeared on his computer when it froze up suddenly.  Result of what is probably a virus that is sent out.  I am currently fighting with them on the phone (by the way, English is not the primary language of every person I spoke with).  They keep giving you the run around and threaten saying they have recordings and such and that it has to go through the credit company to reverse charge and that it takes 45 days for that to occur.  Which is not true.  Total scam.

I was given this number by T-Mobile for tech support for my wireless router. They did correct my problem at a cost of $199.99 for a year. But I am reading where this company is not legit. What is the true story?

Be extremely careful with this number. I contacted AOL support due to e-mail issues and they answered the online AOL customer support. They charged me $299.99 for lifetime computer support and have gotten access to my entire life, including my wireless password. I have contacted AMEX, where I charged the fee and they are taking care of it. This is the biggest scam.
