THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM AS DANNY. Except I called the 800 Customer Service Number on my bill for Time Warner and somehow got them. I thought it was a promotion for Time-Warner and asked if this was Time Warner and they told me I was connected to them because my number was busy. And the TW numbers were busy most of the day -- but after talking with TW they pointed out if they're on the line you get an automated message. I got busy signals until I got THESE PEOPLE which suggests they may have hijacked TW's number so people like me think its a TW promotion. Also: I immeidately called the credit card company and closed that card and they're sending me a new one. These people then called me at LEAST 7 times. I had the above number blocked. Now they're using a 000 000 number that can't be block so I may have to CHANGE MY CELL NUMBER. ALL DETAILS Danny says above are what happened to me today. YES I don't know how I was connected to them YES they said $6.95 which became $3.95 they put me to verification and it was clearly shady talking about me getting Hydroxycut and discounts and I told them I was NOT interested in that. They mistakenly disconnected me and called me back three times rudely asking me why I hung up and I told them I was NOT interested because he kept saying that I could call "to cancel" at a later date...and they were insisting this was a one shot deal. The bank told me $1 (one dollar) PENDING charge was made so full charge was on my verifiying -- which I DID NOT complete. But that card is now dead and the next time they call I have to change my cell phone.

Started to sound to shady and I tried to cancel - I had already given card info. When I explained that all I wanted to do now was cancel the man told me I would be charged anyway. Wouldnt take no for an answrr. eventually hung up and called my bank to reverse the charges. Now they call constantly saying the only way I can cancel is to finish their payment process or I will becharged $49.95 a month. Told them "no way". Cancelling my card and getting a new one. I read the previous posts, my call as well they said they were calling form Phoenix, Az -very shady... BEWARE

JOE AGAIN: These folks need to be reported. I've talked to Verizon today (about them still calling on an unblockable number and they will waive a fee if I have to change the number) and just talked with someone at Time Warner and gave them this website. Very very sleazy. If they call, take note of the number and report it to your phone company -- and do NOT NOT NOT give them any credit card info (unless you do like Danny and I did and immediately cancel that card):

These people have called me 4 or 5 times today and say they have free 100 dollar vouchers for me. The callers have Asian accents and say they are in Arizona. I tell them to quit calling, also have told them I do not WANT their vouchers and I do not want to talk to people who do not sound like they are in the USA! I am sick of this to say the LEAST!!!

select benefits call saying I won a $50 dollar voucher and want the numbers on the front of my credit card to verify this is me so they want to number on my card to see if this is me if you have all this information me address,name and state what you need the card numbers for and they are very persistent this is the number they call from215-383-9735

Same thing happened with me.  They claim to be from Phoenix, AZ.  They call over 10 times per day, asking for personal information, and claiming I've won a $50 gift card.  I've demanded they remove me from my list, but they won't stop calling.

Same as above except this time the guy told me I have a sexy voice.  I’m 24 but sound like I’m 14-15, talk about disgusting.  If there is anyone out there reading this that can do something about it, please do.  They called the company I work for about 15 times today.

They are still calling even after I told them I did not want their $50 reward.  I am going to tell them next step is legal action because they are actually asking for a minor.

These people say they are from Select Benefits and have a $50 gift card for me for using my credit card while shopping.  They actually were calling my 10 year old and they already had the address where we live.  So then they want the expiration date of my card so they can verify that it is the same card that I used while shopping.  They were very insistent.  So I got very uncomfortable and told them to keep their $50 voucher and hung up.  I learned a long time ago not to give any info.  They should have it already if they are legitimate.  If they want to give me something free and they already have my address and phone number, then give it to me!

these people keep calling and won't stop. Usually they hang up, but, if i am lucky enough to get a human response they say they are not telemarketers. When I call the number back it says, 'this is a telemarketing call'. They give an option to either talk to a human which routes you to a full voice mailbox or to enter your phone number to be removed from their calling list. I have done that and it said in 72 hours it would be off their list but its been 5 days later now and they are still calling.

How do I stop them from calling me!!!

THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, tax reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number,  or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. The same guy called me, sounded indian,  Told me he was the operater and that if i wanted him to stop calling me to type my number in and they wud put it on the listt.  i did so . he said thank you,  later on the day he called me 4 more times.  he calls about 10 times a day. sounds almoost indian, deffinitly not sounds very english.   so i went on my verizon page and BLOCKED HIS A**!!! (:(:

I keep getting calls from 856-295-5596 and when I try to answer, no one responds. One time a foreign voice answered, then hung up. I have no idea who is trying to call me, but I'm tired of being harrassed.
