I continue to receive annoying calls from a representative from
Fulton, Friedman, & Gullace, LLP.  who refuses to give their name. The no name person said they are attempting to collect a debt from Asset Acceptance. I do not know of this company/organization so I can not possible have occurred any debt with them. Even when asked to stop calling me, they continue to harass me during working hours, affecting my job!

According to my ID-Caller they've called me a total of 9,807 times so far in the past few years for a debt that I don't even owe, which is why they don't seem to have any solid proof that I owe it.

They are sleeze bags who harass innocent people and also call their families with nasty threats.

They search for the same last name in the same area/locale and if the phone # is listed they call them just for the heck of it, even if they aren't related family and have nothing to do with the so called "debt" or whatever it is they are calling about. If they are related then they go on a smear campaign to p****off family members -- "business matter with so and so, tell them to call us."

They call me almost everyday about a relative with the same last name who doesn't owe them a cent. I can't play a game with them and mislead them with fake payment information because they record the calls even if they state the recording is off. Everything is recorded no matter what they say.

Like I am their personal secretary or assistant for these scum bags. "Oh yes, certainly, I'd be happy to take a message and have my relative call you right back." Idiots.

If you send them $$$$$ to get rid of them they have ways to illegally access your bank account. Sleeze doesn't care about laws, they are above the law - scum.

Called my cell, I didn't answer, called my husbands cell, he called me freaking out about they say if we don't pay them $2000 they will serve us with court papers.  I called the number back, they acted like I was bothering them, I told them they need to stop calling us (they said they cannot) and I asked them to please send me something so I can even see what this debt is (if I owe someone money, I will pay it; but I am certainly not giving a rude person access to my bank account over the phone).  They would not give me the address on file, so I gave them my address, they said that did not match the one on file that they claimed to be sending info to.  I informed them I have lived at my address for 10 years and I gave them my previous address where I lived for 20 years, which was also not the address they had on file.  I said ok, how do I even know I am the right person you are looking for if you don't have either of the only two addresses I have ever lived at?  AND THEY STILL WANTED ME TO GIVE THEM MONEY!

These sleeze bags don't even bother to do their research.

They buy old debt that may have been paid off OR the account was somehow settled OR it's past the statute for collections. But don't trust these people even if you do happen to owe the debt and it's not past the statute.

They are liars and con artists. They will sell your information to others debt collectors and they will change the rules to keep coming back for more money. Don't do business with these disgusting people. And don't let them scare you into handing over money. They are not law-enforcement.

If they sue you tell them you want the actual proof that you owe the money, meaning the original documentation and if they don't provide any tell them you will counter-sue.

ALL THREE APPLY:

If the Statue of Limitations (varies from state-to-state) has passed AND they also do not have Proof Of Debt AND chain of possession they can't collect if you decide to fight it or claim it was paid off years ago or it's not your debt.

DO NOT let them scare you. They enjoy scaring people. Stop talking to them.

Most importantly, request in writing by certified mail the POD -- Proof Of (the actual) Debt.

If they provide some made-up document, or a phony document that they had professionally printed at the printers, it's not valid. It must be actual proof that includes your signature and that is from the original debtor. Not some made-up, fake, piece of crap document that they claim is legitimate.

Typically, whatever they provide will most likely not be considered valid, legitimate Proof Of Debt.

I owe the debt they call everyday about. But due to mounting medical bills from life-saving medical treatments I am unable to pay back the debt. For 23 yrs I paid all bills on time and paid off all debt/loans, every single one of them and had a high credit-score. Then I got cancer and everything changed.

I always had enough savings to cover me for 6-8 months (more than most people) if I was out of work because I am responsible and have always lived within my means. But, then the cancer came back and I decided to live, instead of paying them and dying. Those were my options, that was my choice.

These horrid people think I have the money, but I actually don't. So they called family, and now whenever I do have the money I am not paying them. By then it will be past the SOL, Statute Of Limitations anyway. The SOL is quickly approaching and I might possibly have the $$$$ a few months later.

But, they won't get a dime out of me for dragging my family members into my debt. People who would do that knowing the family members aren't going to pay my debt are unscrupulous and I am certainly not doing business with unscrupulous people.

At this point, I'd be afraid to give them the routing-number of my checking account and other banking information. These people are also too dense and stupid to realize that hardball tactics only work in only a small percentage of isolated cases and usually where the person was going to pay and also had the ability to pay -- NOT where they actually DO NOT have the ability to pay. It happens. Get over it and move on.

Look, I had the choice to pay them a monthly amount OR go without food for 2 days per week, and also without the necessary medical treatment. In other words, if I paid them I would have died and then they wouldn't get the remainder of the balance due because dead people don't write checks.

As far as calling two family members. They didn't need to drag them into it and that pushed me further away. I said WHOOOAA these people are scary. I am not having any kind of business dealing with lowlifes who would bother my family about my debt under the guise of,  "Can't reach your relative", after I told them 9 times, "I can't have this same old stupid -- I don't have the money" conversation with you every day, sometimes twice per day --- so I am not going to answer the phone, even though I am still at this number.

So that's when they figured they'd punish me and call two of my family members, as if it's their job to punish me by tattling on me like a bunch of immature, defiant juveniles who disregard state laws.

I would say these jokers are probably sociopathic ...... really not much different from the Mob, except they don't murder debtors. The Courts know who they are and they'd be the first person the Police would go to if anything happened to me. Three family members are in law-enforcement and they know my situation.

They know that they call me several times a day and that they occasionally harass two close family members who also no longer take their crazy, ridiculous, inane, begging for money, sicko phone calls.

I DON'T HAVE THE $$$$$ IDIOTS --- and assuming and believing I am withholding the $$$$$ still won't make $$$$ magically appear. I can't give what I don't have ....... and even if I did have the money, at this point, I won't have anything to do with these scary people who act like juvenile delinquents who make up the rules to suit themselves, which is why they've been sued in Court by others they have bullied.

I also knew these disgusting crazies would rather have the money and me dead, then for me to survive and pay them later. They wanted the money right then and there. But now they get nothing b/c the SOL statute is approaching and after how they've treated me and my family they can stick it. They are not reputable and I am not writing check to those kinds of people. Future 'Identity-Theft' problems comes to mind.

They had my contact/phone number all along. I just got tired of the same old, stupid conversation every freaking day -- "I don't have the money" every day telling them the same thing, over and over and over, day after day, for months on end. I had to stop answering the phone b/c the conversations were too exhausting and crazy.

So, they called my family to tattle on me. They said it was "a business matter"--- very sleezy. But, they knew. Plus, my family was with me when I had the medical treatments and agreed I should get treated and put a roof over my head and feed myself instead of paying them. The other alternative was to pay them and then die.

Now they get nothing for being so cruel and juvenile stupid ...... not too mention scary. Who would want to conduct business and engage in money transactions with these kind of people? ANSWER: No one.

They try to scare people into paying them some small amount so it will restart the old debt OR so a Court will determine it's an admission of owing the debt.

They know if they keep calling some people will break down and give them $$$ to get them off their back and to STOP the never ending calls.

They figure if they keep calling and calling and calling some people will cave in and give them $$$ with the agreement that they stop calling ....... just to get rid of them.

But once you make even one small payment and they promise never to call back YOU GUESSED IT they still keep calling back for more money and can take you to court because once you give them $$$ it is admitting to debt and can restart a debt you don't even owe. These people are real sleeze bags.

They call me everyday for a debt I paid off 2 yrs ago. Account was settled for educed amount and paid off in full. But, they still call everyday. I guess looking for more money. Once I make a payment to them (that I don't even owe) it will start the debt all over again even though the account was settled.

The thing is if I haven't answered the phone in the past year that they've been calling me everyday maybe I am not going to deal with them, but they still call anyway. They have got to be the stupidest people, not too mention low-life scum on the planet. The people at this phoney law firm are a bunch of criminals.

My lawyer says not to talk to them. He says they continuously violate the law and ignore statues.

They were sued in a class-action lawsuit last year for $$$millions$$$ and are nothing but slimy, junk debt-collectors harassing decent people trying to scare them into turning old debt into new debt. Anything for an easy buck.

These jokers are calling several times daily for my daughter that hasn't lived here in almost TEN years! I am going to ha e fun with them the next time they call. I am under no obligation to tell them the truth about anything. I plan on getting all the information I can so she can sue them. As you see the account they are trying to collect is in bankruptcy court. They are violating the LAW as usual.

Guys relax, its not even that big of a deal.  If you treat others the way you would want to be treated, then maybe you would have heard the guy (Hoffman) out.  He is only trying to help us from bad collection agencies.  I signed up right away because I was getting sick and tired of debt collectors harassing me and my wife.  For a low fee of $60 per month (not even $2 a day!) Hoffman was able to take care of these annoying problems.  I'd try calling him back if I were you, otherwise you are all just a bunch of suckers!

Asked for a female I have never heard of also, then asked me if I knew her, or if any one I knew did.

Sure I'm gonna call everyone I know just for you, buddy, please hold for next available click, silence, and voice saying, "if you'd like to make a call please hang up, and try your call again." that's my friend that knows her! Ask them!  Are they seriously just calling random numbers in hopes to find anyone, that knows anyone, that knows them? Crazy sad.
