Actually, the number is Wells Fargo, it is the Home Preservation Specialist line.  I know because I am purchasing a home that is being sold as a short-sale and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is 100% Wells Fargo. Their address is 3476 Stateview Blvd., Fort Mill, SC 29715.

This caller was identifying themselves as "Wells Fargo" - they were asking me for additional information for my home modification loan.  After I got off the phone I started to wonder whether or not if was really Wells Fargo because it was unlike any other call I've had from Wells.

This is not a Wells Fargo Company. They are a debt collector / Call center / Telemarketing , I did a search on what phone carrier is providing their service. And I found out that they are a Company by the Name Of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. They are trying to make people believe that they are a department with in Wells Fargo Bank but they are not.  They are wasting peoples time telling them that they are trying to help them.
