Wrong number. Wrong person.

I keep getting calls that are for whomever had my phone number before me, this caller won't stop although I did answer and get a person once and told them I am not the person they are trying to reach.
I wish I could put them on a constant dialer, it is more than annoying. I work at night and because of annoyance calls like those from this number I have to leave the phone off during the day to sleep and miss emergency calls.

My cell phone is being called daily asking for a Roger Sutton. This has been my number for over five years ... never Roger Sutton's. But there is only a computer calling, so I can never tell them that he has never been at this number. I refuse to call them back and get roped into hours of messy waiting and transferring.

It's not just them, it is many unwanted, do not know who you are and why calls. I choose to ignore...I don't need an attorney to figure that one out.....
Hadenough 2012-04-05 18:13:11 Unknown
One would think if their ***%#$## call was so important, they would leave a freakin' message! No message...not important just another nuisance in life.
MJ 2012-03-16 14:39:41 Unknown
I agree with Chris. A debt collector was harrassing me daily and as soon as I told them I spoke with a lawyer and wanted all correcpondences by certified mail they stopped calling and I have not received anything in the mail. Beware - they will try to tell you that they have been sending letters for months with no reponse...this is why you need to request certified mail. If it is a legitimate debt they will comply. If it is a scam, you will never hear from them again.
Chris 2012-02-28 14:27:59 Unknown
They say when a debt collector calls, tell them you talked to a lawyer and they advised you not to talk to them over the phone and to send any correspondences by mail and to take you off their call list because it is harassment

This is not the first time I've received call from this number. Now it says is a forwarded call. Forwarded from whom? What is it regarding? No message was left.

Yes, I'm also a bit disturbed by this robocall that gives out my name on the v/mail message but then says if the recipient of that message is not me, to just ignore. WTF?
So if that was a wrong #, my name gets included in someone else's v/mail that I have some sort of alleged debt collection issue (which, BTW, I don't). Then the message provided an eleven digit reference # I'm supposed to provide when I call back. I don't think so. Calls that show up on my caller id as "unavailable" mean that I am "unavailable" to them too.
But what if.....that message went to the wrong person, they are having a boring day so call back, provide that reference # and then what happens? Information about me is disclosed ---- perhaps even false or misleading information?
Messages like this without specifics about the precise "debt" I'm alleged to owe are not getting any call backs from me. You tell me who you represent, who is the vendor, and then I'll call back to set the record straight. But giving me an 800# (or 877 #) where I know my # is going to be recorded on the other end, perhaps sold or used ---- again, I don't think so.

I got a call from them. No message left. This has happened a few times. I just got an Android phone and now I can block them. The calls are automatically declined. Yay Android! F****ng bill collectors who have bought debts that were paid years and years ago and want you to pay again. It's a scam. Report the number to the Attorney General's Office.

have been getting calls from this number to my cell phone. i have 2 cell phones and the one i get the calls on is one that i keep just for backup. how they got the number i do not know. the only message i have gotten from them is just a continual beeping. no one says anything. have never heard of this bunch and have no business with them. i have gotten to the point that if i see their number come up, i just do not answer. advice: if you see their number, ignore it. they think they have a right to call me...then i have the right not to answer.

I just bought this phone for my dad and activated it, thus would appreciate it if they were stopped from calling this number
Linda 2011-07-05 20:36:27 Unknown
The reason for the "dead" air when they call is that they are a call center (most likely) and have what is called a predictive dialer. These dialers call up to 60 numbers at once and the first people who answer are the first ones who get "live" bodies to speak with. The numbers can be set so that the dialer will redial your number up to several times a day. Unless you speak to a live person it is very difficult to get off the list or have your number removed from their list. Many telemarketing places buy lists or "sample" as they call it. Also, sample can be "spun" which means that it will take an area code and exchange and ramdomly dial numbers within a specified geographical area. Hope this helps.

Just got a call from 877-450-3453 on my cell phone. It was a pre-recorded message naming the person whom they are trying to collect a debt from. When I returned the call to inform this debt service there is no such persons at this number, there was no push button selection to speak to someone live. This is not the first time I have gotten calls like this. Another one was from NCO collection. Reporting this matter to the phone co. and the FTC got me no where. And changing my phone number is a total waist as this is my second cell phone number and is still the same game, but now with someone else in huge debt. So I had the phone co. install caller ID block on my phone in hopes this will put an end to these pieces of crap. If you guys reading this have caller ID block, now is a good time to use it.

Mike 2011-06-06 21:04:25 Unknown
Debt collection agency. After a couple of seconds wait a message plays telling you to call them. Does not give option to opt out. Just called them back for a second time to let them know it is a wrong number and to stop calling.
