**My company's voicemail service actually recorded the senders phone number as 347-862-9434, not 877-673-8296. **
My company received 2 calls, immediately following each other, which were not answered. The 'caller' left voicemail messages in the general company mailbox and left this toll-free number as a contact number. The calls were received at 11:09am and 11:10am PST. The messages sounded identical, including the background noise and inflection in the speakers voice, which leads me to believe these were computer generated, automated calls which were programmed to play a recording when put through to voicemail. (This is my first clue that it is a scam.) If it were not for their computer program (accidentally?) calling twice in a row, it would have been impossible to detect that the message was a recording, since it sounded like a real live human being leaving a message. My instinct tells me these are 'feeler' messages, to determine which numbers, from their list, is attended; which ones are answered and which ones are not.
I will not call them back. However, if I did I would expect to be asked information about the phone line, such as "You say this is NOT the number for Dolores Dunn? May I have your name please? I need your name to record in our records who has informed us this is not the correct number...", etc. Please be advised that whatever information you willingly provide to these sorts, it is considered to be information volutarily offered by you, to their group. Unless they have given you a verbal agreement as to how your information will be used, you are giving them permission to use the info you provide in whatever manner they choose. If you voluntarily call them back and do not provide any information, you have still provided them with the information that your number is a working number which is attended, or at least is periodically checked. If you do give them info, it is legal for them to collect it and use it however they please. If you never call back and never answer, they can only assume that it is an unattended number (which works out well for you).

Called my cellphone looking for my friend in another state wanting her home and business address to serve her papers regarding a bill over 13 years old and WAAAYYYY over the statute of limitations. Left a harassing message TWICE; once yesterday and once today. Both times said that my friend had officially been notified of her subpoena and that today was her final notice, blah blah blah. Called my friend's number leaving the same message. Needless to say, my friend was LIVID and called the company and told her to never call my number again. When asked how she got my number, the lady told her that she got it from her cellphone record and was going to call her other friends too. This should be illegal!!!

877-673-8296. Threatened subpoena if I didn't call. Called back 2 times next day.
