My Aunt ordered a Blouse from this company, and was automatically put into a rewards program that charged her credit card $14.95 a month. That amounts to $179.40 a year. That is alot to pay for a blouse!! I asked for the Full Refund for $179.40. I also reported this company to the Better Business Bureau! This company is taking advantage of our Seniors!!

My elderly mother was defrauded too.  We got nearly 2 years of $14.95 charges.  Only in reviewing a year of transactions did I question all these identical amounts and start researching.  Scummy practice and no doubt the catelog company and the scamming outfit are one in the same, despite what they tell you on the phone.  My wife fought through the resistance and finally got a fellow who agreed to delete all the charges.  But I am also pursuing this with the bank that issued the debit card and they will delete many of the charges.  I don't trust these bums at Drapers to actually do what they say.  Let's spread the word about this rancid practice!

I just noticed the charges today on my credit card bill...apparently has been going on for 10 months. Card company is disputing charges for me and blocking them from my account. I only ordered one time from them...do not understand how this has happened....never again ordering from any of their companies.

They got me too!  I am disputing the charges with my credit card company and I will inundate Drapers and Damon with phone calls until I get full credit.  Fortunately I only have two months worth of $14.97 charges but even then I will be relentless in my pursuit for a full credit.  This is absolutely wrong!

I also just realized that I have been charged $14.95 for 9 months.  Please file a complaint with the BBB. We must stop this company from it's deceitful practices.

I am receiving calls from all over the US that start out with a computer call about credit card services and lowering my rate. If you stay on the line, you get a human trying to get you to get their credit card. I asked them to stop calling me and they say that they have no way of eliminating my number because they are computer generated. It is all the same company, but calls come from all over. I have stopped answering the phone if I don't recognize the number. For instance, today I got calls from the following:
(318)474-5828 from Tallulah, LA
(612)699-5098 from Minneapolis MN
(607)203-5517 from NYC,NY
(252)669-8800 from NC,USA

I also was getting a monthly charge of $14.95. In reading all the posts on this site I got some hints on how to get a full 6 months credit. I did use the word 'fraud' several times in my phone call. I was offered a 1 month credit and I said absolutely not. Then I was offered 2 months, then 4 months. I kept saying it was 'fraud' and I wanted 6 months credit or I would take it up with my credit card company. I eventually got my 6 months credit. Then I asked for the confirmation # of the credit so that if it did not appear on my credit card I would have a reference # when I called again. I do realize I should check my credit card charges more carefully, but the first 3 months I thought maybe I ordered something else after my original order.

I have called the 1888 and ask for a full refund, which had been charged since 2010. But the manager , Kathy, hang up on me and do not listen. I'm very sorry that I have just notice that, but her attitude... heeee :(
She said that she can give me the last 6 charges back, after my long explanation, she said what she could do today is giving me back the last 12 charges. I don't like this

I was also hit with the JAI*DRAPERS REWARD scam.  Apparently I responded wrong to a popup while ordering from Damons and Drapers online.  I'm sorry to say it took me 7 months to notice it.  When I (finally) did, I called the credit card company and they refunded four months worth.  I then called the JAI number on my credit card statement, and after talking to two people, they agreed to refund the remainder. The first person told me about the refund that the bank had already secured for me - I made it clear that I wanted the remainder refunded as well.  That got me bumped up to a supervisor.  I kept my cool and kept things cordial, but I made sure to note that I would never have intentionally signed up for this program.  I think they must be worried about potential fraud investigations, because they really didn't hassle me at all.

My Visa was compromised also for the last 12 months starting with $1.95 and then for the last 12 months $14.95.  I did not approve this reward things from JAI*DRAPERS REWARD.  What a scam.  I have contacted my visa bank with hopes that they are now blocked and that they might be able to help me get my money back.

Suzi,
I also just realized that I have been paying the 414.95 a month for a year.
To my knowledge, I have never received anything in the way of membership or any benefits.  To get a refund, I just called the customer service phone number and kept asking for the operators supervisor.  After about the 3rd or 4th person, I did get satisfaction. The number I used was 1-888-378-7283.

My charge card was charged $1.95 which I assumed was a correction on Shipping  until the next month there was a $14.95 charge.  The charge was made without my approval and I have reported them to the FTC.  Everyone should do the same.  This is a scam.

Same scenario as above.  Until my husband began pulling out tax papers, I had no idea that I was being charged $14.95 per month since 03/10.  I called to inquire about the charge and they told me I had placed an order and clicked on the $15 off for future purchases, but was charged $14.95 per month thereafter.  I have never ordered online, only used their catalog; I don't receive email notices from them, only through the mail.  The consumer relations are reimbursing me for one year, which is better than the two months the first contact offered me.  So if you have this problem, insist that they reimburse the entire amount....don't take the offer of the first contact person.

I may be contacting you because I am also embarrassed that I did not see the charge that has been for 16 months.  I did not, to my knowledge, sign up to give my money to anyone.  Were they able to tell you how this charge was attached to your account?

I had the same exact charges of $14.95 going back to May 2009...I had no idea this was happening.  I called my Discover card and asked them to stop the charges.  It's not only a scam, but it should be illegal.  Why hasn't our government done some thing to stop this kind of fraud?  I'm ashamed of myself for not catching this sooner!

I finally decided to do something about the $14.95 charge and found out that it is a membership monthly fee from a scam.  It relates to the TOG Shop (same group that runs Draper and Damon) and an order that I placed and left my email address.  I called the 888 number and was connected to membership services.  I asked to cancel the membership and insisted that I be refunded for the 7 months they have take then money from my credit card.  I finally got the credit.  Please let others know about this--it is a scam and most people do not realize it.

I have recently noticed a charge of $14.95 on my VISA card to My Destination Life.  I was puzzled and called the phone number listed on my register.  I was told that I had to have placed an order with Draper and Damons and approved this membership.  I told them that I have not recently ordered anything from Draper and Damons.  The CSR insisted that I approved a membership.  So I asked what kind of membership and got some vague answer that made no sense to me at all.  I told them to remove the $14.95 or I would be contacting the BBB and the Attorney Generals Office.  They complied and also canceled my membership.  I was puzzled and knew I had not order in many months from Draper and Damons so I started reviewing other statements.  Sure enough dating back to May of 2009 they have been tapping into my account the 1st charge was for $1.95 than the rest were for $14.95.  I called My Destination Life back and told them that I have tracked this back and wanted all my money re-instated into my account.  They argued with me again that I approved this by releasing my email address to Draper and Damon.............does this make sense? Not to me.  They did reinstate about 1/2 of the amount taken.  I got so angry, I took my statements down to my banker and talked with him.  He called is consumer fraud department and they are pursuing this as a FRAUD case.  They asked me if I would testify against the person involved if they could track this back to one individual.  I said "OF COURSE".  This is a scam and it needs to be nipped in the bud.  Sorry to everyone for being caught in the same web that I've gotten trapped into.

I found 15 months of $14.95 charges on my Visa bill. I am embarrassed that I did not recognize it sooner.  I accused Damon and Drapers of scamming.  They credited me all back charges.  Fight them!  They claimed we signed up for this service....whatever it is.  If we did it was done by them in some surreptitous manner since we have ordered products previously.

I did not get a call but I did order from Damon and Drapers.  Then the charge showed up.  I just called 1-888-327-7182 and a nice young man said he would "cancel" my membership (I didn't join) and would credit my card for the $`4.95.  I will watch this account very closely.
