I received the post card from US Airways and Marriott Getaway.  I suspected it was fishy. I'm glad that I checked out this website before wasting my time with it.

Sounds like I can bid a price on Priceline.com and name my own terms a whole lot easier than going through this "lemon club". They didn't tell me the name of the club when I called to make an appointment. They just called to confirm, so I had the name, and now won't go at all. Won't deal with a scam like this after returning from trip - West Coast to Vermont - for $200 round trip with a bid I got on Priceline.

Same experience here. The "free" trip was a lot of jumping through hoops and by the time we pay taxes and fees, it will cost more than just buying the trip outright.

Thanks everyone for your input.  I had an appointment for today in Southbend.  You just saved me a trip and a day full of frustration!

They hardly qualify as gift cards when they cost $300.00 to use. Total misrepresentation

I also attended a meeting with Club Envy. I am surprised by the comments as I didn't have the same experience.  There was a sales presentation, however the speaker was upfront about what to expect.  My husband and I didn't buy because we just remodeled our kitchen, but we will join as soon as we are able. The representative that was with us was very kind and not pushy at all.  They told us we could join at anytime and would be very pleased to have us as members when we are ready.

One other thing, the speaker also told the group that these gift cards are provided through a marketing company and that the reason it was not from them was that their packages are only for members.

Stay away from these folks.  The Smart Travel & Incentives Inc. company has nothing but bad reports.  We went the Club Envy presentation last night in Fond du Lac, WI.  They want $10,000 upfront, you have to pay yearly fees thereafter, and there is nothing free about the free trip they are offering!  They give you a folder from Smart Travel & Incentives, which has has nothing bad 'scam' reports about it online.  Additionally, you have to send them a check before you get your voucher -- nothing free about this and thank God I didn't fall for it.

I called the number on the card. Was told they would not be trying to sell me anything. They said it was not a timeshare. They said it was only a presentation for a new travel service. they said the only hidden fees for the free flights, rental car, hotel and gift card  would be the local taxes a a small processing fee. i asked how much, they said no more than $50-$60. we sat thru the seminar for 60 minutes.
It was 100% a sales pitch for membership (timeshare) in Club Envy travel club for $12,995.00 lifetime membership + $199.00 per year renewal . I thought this might happen so when i filled in the personal info sheet i made sure i checked off all the boxes that would discourage them from pressuring me after the presentation. After the program , a sales person comes to your seats and try to sell you the membership. I told them no enough times that they finally got the message.
They told us we could not get our gifts until we sat until the 90 minutes was up, so we sat for about 17 minutes waiting. after receiving the vouchers for the gifts we were told to follow the instructions completely and exactly because these vouchers were purchased from a different travel agency and they had no control over the gifts. ( kind of strange for a travel club that is trying to sell memberships to purchase from another agency, why can't they put the package together themselves)
the instructions on the voucher for the free flights say: fill out form, send in with refundable $100.00 deposit, After you receive the travel package from them, fill out the dates and return with $75.00 per person processing fee, certain premium dates may require additional $25-$50 fees, at least 60 days advance planning, cancellations will cost $20.00 + you can not reschedule the trip .
The auto voucher required $75.00 refundable deposit and $75.00 processing fee. ( $150.00 tied up for a 3 day economy car FREE rental) Neither voucher explains when the deposits are refunded and both vouchers state that they do not welcome any phone calls until after the trip is scheduled. in other words, if you have any questions tough luck. My advise- stay away from Club Envy

I just called this number on a post card i was mailed and it is a "special" promotion for a travel company called Club Envy. You have to listen to a 90 minute presentation on their travel club.  I have heard nothing but bad reports on this company such as when you want to use the Airline tickets you can't use them then, the extra uncovered fees are really high, ect...  I said no thanks and hung up.

Hi,

Just got a postcard offering a trip on US Airways, stay in a Marriot getaway, $50.00 Priceline gift card etc. Same phone number as you. I'm going to call them and act dumb and see where it takes me. Thanks for the posting.
