I got such a message a short time ago also. And called the above number to report it as suggested above, but was given another #, and told the hours they are open (Not now).

But the other poster was correct, this is their, "Nurse Line," whatever that is, and is not a scam. Otherwise how would they have any idea that I am a UHC member. However I am not interested and will not spend anymore time calling them!!!!

What if every business in america decided to use the "Informational Message"  approach to selling themselves and their services.   Our telephones would ring endlessly and nobody would think it was "Okay"  and how in the world would we opt out on their don't call list when every insurance company and business bombarded us daily.
That's  no excuse and doesn't make any sense at all..

I don't know why some people above say this is a scam.  I contacted United Healthcare and they say it is not a scam, but simply an informational message about their nurseline program.  You can contact United Healthcare yourself and ask to be put on their do not call list, so these types of calls stop.

Got the robo call with the call back number and security code yesterday, after normal business hours. And they had my name.

I just talked to UHC (called them at the number on my card - not the number left by the robocall) and the rep told me they had contracted with a telemarketing firm (Silverlink?) to contact members with info about the nurseline and other preventative services and that while she couldn't see exactly what it was in my case, what usually triggered it was not having been to the doc in a while. Ha ha, wish that were were true for me, but it sadly does NOT fit my profile.

Anyway, even though legit (this one time) it can be safely ignored. I let them know there was no way I would contact them via any third party number, only through the one printed on my card.

Even if some of these calls are more or less legit, I wouldn't bite. I'm sure fraudulent copycats are doing this too. If there's any question, contact UHC at the number on your card.

Makes me wonder if UHC sells some of our information as other companies do as allowed by law (name, addresses, phone numbers, etc).

Responded to call since we have UHC.  Didn't ask for my access code, but for my birthdate.  Then went on to talk about their 24 hour nurse line.  Should have known better, but have been seeing a doctor lately and thought it had something to do with it.  Now am worried about what kind of scam this is.

I got the same Robo call today from 888-599-3948 (on a Saturday) as did some of the posters above my post.  Since it was on my cell and no caller ID info I did not pick up but let it go to voicemail.  The Robo knew my full name and left me a "unique numerical code" to provide when I called back about  some supposed insurance benefits info with United Healthcare who is my actual provider.  I will not be calling back as it was clearly a Phishing SCAM.

What freaks me out is they knew my entire real name, it was on my cell phone on a Saturday and ALL my phones are unlisted.  If it was really United Healthcare they would have called during office hours M-F, e-mailed me, or sent me a letter on official letterhead.  SO... how is our info getting out to these Scam artists from United Healthcare???

Received a call from 888-622-2404 stating they were United Healthcare which gave me a seven digit personal code.  After only confirming my birthday (shouldn't have given that information) without the provided PIN, the automated system described the Minerslide (?) Nurse line.  I called the 800-805-4152 phone to check if it was a scam and found it's a rewards service.

....also the real UHC has my email address & home phone number, but not my work phone number...if they needed to contact me this was not the way to do it....ALWAYS, ALWAYS look up unfamiliar or fishey phone numbers on WhoCallsMe or 800 Notes first...save yourself from being victimized or having your phone number passed on to the next predator!

This is clearly a scam phone call. It is an automated service that says its United Health Care and asked for my husband. I said no to the prompt and it game me this 888 number with a special security code number for him to call back.  No way no how.

They called again and he answered. The auto system wanted his birthday and social security number. He hung up. No way should any legit company ask for this information over the phone with an unsolicited robo call.

This is an identity theft devise in my opinion

Got a voice mail saying there was an important message from "US Healthcare", which is my health care provider.  They gave me this number and a numerical code to enter when I called.

I did so and it asked my to confirm my name (a computer voice stated my name and asked me to verify it was me) then asked me for my date of birth "to confirm my identity", it did not ask for any part of my Social Security Number.  I stated my DOB and it went on to tell me about a service called "My Nurse Line", which is a toll-free phone number to get info/advice from a nurse which is supposedly covered by my insurance plan.

It was a suspicious call that I doubt was from US Healthcare.  I am wondering if I had stated an incorrect birth date if it would have made a difference.

Didn't pick up, checked voicemail:
Automated voice system said it was united heath care and they had "important health care benefits" of which to notify me. Provided this number and a "security code".
Called back. AVS recognized my name without being prompted and asked for my date of birth and last 4 of social.

Didn't feel comfortable and hung up without responding
