We need to take time to:

1.  Get the company name
2.  Place it in Google search
3.  Type scam after the company name (search)
4.  Type fraud after the company name (new search)
5.  Look for negatives because these unethical companies are front-loading Google search pages.  So, go to page 7 of results OR look for ripoffreport, etc.

7.  Work with your States Attorney General Office, Division of Consumer Affairs

They inconvenience us, let's do the same to them.

I noted this 888-651-3380 number when I received two calls from them this morning, asking me to call back with my UGI gas bill in hand to their rep at 800-210-9011, ext 1637.  

She was quite rude, insisting that we are paying too high of a rate, that they are a government endorsed supplier that helps lower rates, and issues rebates.  I told her we already have a supplier so I wasn't understanding why she was calling.  She pretty much became a bi*** to me, telling me that she would not speak to me and wanted to speak with someone who understood and would give her the information she needed from the bill.  I said again that was me, and then she told me that I could then explain it to my boss why we are paying more for our gas bills than we should be.  

Seriously!?  I am so tired of these companies trying to pull one over me, and then getting snotty when I question them.  Ridiculous!

This is just not right to be harrassesd by these people! What part of "I'm not interested" don't they understand? They called my elderly father and I happened to be there and I took over the phone call. Its hard to tell what would have happened had I not been there to intervene. I hung up on him and he had the nerve to immediately call back!  I picked up the phone and slammed it back into the cradle. They will be reported!!

I received a call from this number stating that the owner of our company authorized cancelling our online listing with Yellow Book.  This person was speaking very fast and was hard to understand.  She stated over and over that she is supposed to mail a confirmation of cancellation and that there is a bill of $599.00.  I questioned her, and she kep saying, "Just listen to me, OK?"  I finally said this isn't a good time, and hung up.

We have also been called by PA Gas and Electric repeatedly.  Today "Joyce" making it sound like she was putting a stamp on our rebate as we spoke, asked for our account number.  I asked what I was committing to and she said a rebate.  I said we were not interested in changing suppliers thank you and hung up.  Unbelieveably she called back.  I said, "what part of no don't you understand?" and hung up again.  In two minutes a man called back.  My assistant said I was out.  After reading these posts I went to the web site and sent a warning by email to Marketing and said if I heard from them again I would report their harrassment to the BBB, PUC and FCC, and I wouldn't use their services if they were free.

Oh, and by the way, we are a church.

This company keeps calling our office making us think we are entitled to an electric rebate, but they are a natural gas company. This is about the 5th time they have pulled this after being told that we are not interested. Stop calling!

This guy was rude.  Kept telling him I wasn't interested and to quit calling.  (Someone called two days ago also).   I told him my husband already talked to someone (that usually works), but he kept asking me when and who....he tried to intimidate me.  So I eventually hung up on him.
Pretty much the same thing that "Joe" above went through.  
If it sounds too good to be true, then it is!  Plus, who gives their information over the phone these days!  
I'd rather pay a dollar more for my utilities than to have to deal with these people.
Glad my intuition was right when he called, I dont' trust anyone who I don't know calls me whether they know my name or not!

Keep getting calls from Pennsylvania Power and Gas. Told them not interested. They keep calling. So I reported them to FCC, and the "do not call list" website.

Got a call from this number this morning.. Identified themselves as Pennsylvania Gas and Electric.

Caller was Morgan who asked for "whoever handles the West Penn Power Bill"

Gave me information related to their program and rebates they offer etc if you switch to them as an electric service provider.

When I asked how they obtained the number I was told from West Penn Power, because I did not respond to a customer savings option that was mailed to me.(I do remember receiving 2 in the mail however figured it was one company trying to gain business over another and disregarded it.)

Looked up the site at http://www.usgande.com/Markets/Pennsylvania/   and found they are a private business(so it is a telemarketer call). However they also own electric and gas providers in other states...and explains why people from out of PA are posting about this number.

Everything sounded legit between the offer/agreement and what the regulations in the county is... so figured between the rebate and lower generation charge I would switch to them.

Was told I will recieve a welcome package from Pennsylvania Gas & Electric in 5-10 business days and that if I was not happy with the information contained in the package(rate didn't match.. etc) to call the 1-800 number + ext and that my service would be switched back immediately.

Just had a phone call from 888-651-3380.  "I want to speak with the person in charge of your electric bill".  Having received these calls daily on every single phone line we have in this office (8), I just hung up because I had customers in my office and one on hold.

This foul women called back demanding my supervisor.  So I hung up again.  She called back two more times.  This time, I let them ring.

How can I report this company?  I have told them time and time again to remove us from their list, and they disregard that demand.

I received a call from this number this morning.  They refused to identify the company name.  The guy who called said -

"Hi, may I speak to whoever handles the West Penn Power bill."

- I replied, "That would be me."

- He starts rambling about some rebate and then demands that I get my electric bill.  Then he tells me he will wait while I get it.

- This clown never ASKS me anything, yet demands and then cops an attitude.

- I called the number back and asked the lady who answered the name of the company.  She refused and then yelled to someone.  A guy gets on and HE refused to tell me who the company was.  Then he tells me that I called them from an outside line so they don't have my information in front of them.  WHY WOULD THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE WHO CALLED ME!?

If that wasn't bad enough this guy starts giving me the same lines about a refund!

I am seeking action from the PUC and any other authorties regarding this matter.

888-651-3380 has been ringing our phone every day and when we pick up there is no one there. This is phone harassment and I resent this being permitted by law. These people should be penalized for such nonsense.

They call us every day. Two or three times. I don't answer calls from telemarketing companies while grooming. This time there wasa message from a rep calling in regards to our electric bill. She left her name and extension and stAted that I needed to have a copy of the bill when I return her call.  Called back but the voice mail for her extension was full. I think it's a scam because our bill is paid in full and we called the power company to see if there was a problem. They said no.

Getting calls from this number on a weekly basis.   Would like to report them to the State they said they were a local utility company.  We rent and all our utilities are included in the rent.

Called and when I answered, no one was on the line

I get voice mails containing only the phone number and "Thank you, talk to you soon." which is why I looked up the number. Why no message? Is it automated and starts as soon as my voice mail picks up, so this is the only part that's recorded?

I got a call from them too.  When I called them back they said you are a southeastern michigan gas customer right and I said NO and I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST.  It ticks me off when companies just call and don't look at that list.  He said oh well one or two occassionally slip through, yea right. I told him if I receive another call I will be reporting him!  Anyone that does business like this shouldn't be trusted as far as I am concerned

I got a call from you, too.  Very disturbing.  I live in New Mexico.  Why is a natural gas company from Michigan calling me?  What is your agenda?

888-651-3380 keeps calling my pre-paid cell.  ONLY ONE person has my cell phone number and it is certainly not them, whoever they are.

This site is a directory of unknown callers if you want to stop receiving calls you will have to go to www.donotcall.gov to register your phone number or you can tell them to stop calling you.

This number has called recently, they leave messages stating they are a gas company. If this is the site that blocks calls, please do so for me, I would really appreciate it. I don't want them filling up our answering machine - we do not have natural gas lines where we live....thanks very much

Did not answer - they have called before - we do not answer 888 or 800 toll free numbers so I do not know who is calling

They are annoying - calling every day.
I had MICHCON as my business' gas company until I closed it - and they have been calling every day for 2 months.
Maybe MICHCON sold the phone #s of past accounts.
They leave the same message every time...
"This is (soandso) calling from Lakeshore energy calling regarding your natural gas account"

Such ambiguity makes you think they have your account - when, in fact, they do not.
I will never call them.... and I HATE telemarketers!!

The are called Lakeshore and they call on behalf of new energy company.  The want you to switch your gas service to them.
