I got a call from these same two guys, going by the names "Michael Porter" and "Brad Sullivan' only from the number 888-223-8454. "Brad" said the county where I lived was "charging me with fraud" and gave me what he said was a court case number for my County court (totally bogus, my mom works for an attorney here and the numbers they gave were not in the right format-we called both courts, nothing). He said if I gave him my credit card information right then and paid $435 he said I owed "Debt Solutions" (never heard of them) then the case would be immediately dropped. If not, then he said "they would come to my job and arrest me for fraud" and they would "see me in court". Very threatening, violated about 4 state and federal regulations governing collection practices according to my mom's boss. These guys are total scammers preying on people who they think they can intimidate and threaten into paying them. I have no doubt some poor schmucks do exactly that. So these guys are scammers....just hang up on them then block their number.

It a scam. The crook you're responding to is one of their shills.

If you don't mind, what was your case concerning??? The most general details are fine. I'm really confused why these people are contacting me.

Funny, they told me it was Providence, RI. They are a scam. I have contacted the company that is their supposed client, who does not know who this company is. There is no listing of this company. They are in violation of a whole skew of FTC regulations. They demand a credit card or threaten court. I advised them to proceed with court to which I was told they wanted to speak to a supervisor to have me removed from the premises. They have spoken to both my supervisor and I have also transferred them to the police department to whom he would not speak to.

Who is using this number?

I contacted Providence and had a case that was getting ready to be filed to go to court. They assisted me in rectifying and resolving the issue without it going to court. They handle mediation for clients that are seeking legal action against you. They will give you the opportunity to settle out of court which saved me time and money.

Supposedly is from Providence a "national litigation/mitigation" corporation with headquarters in Fairfax, VA. I can find no information on BBB for this company. I spoke with Brad Sullivan, Michael Porter, and Isaac Rothstein.....whoever they are.
