Security company Cloudmark created a spam messaging reporting service that nation?s major wireless carriers agreed earlier this year to start using. Now, customers of AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint and others can forward their text spam message to 7726. The mobile phone carrier will ask customers for the phone number that?s linked to the spam message so they and Cloudmark can start investigating.

I also got this same text message -- at 10:50 at night -- my cell was going off.    It makes me very angry as I do not have a texting plan on my phone -- so this text cost ME money.     I'm so fed up with political campaigning.......it's pretty clear to me why none of the people running for office have done a good job......how could they??   All their time and money is vested in campaigning....they couldn't possibly be doing what they were elected for!

Received unwanted texts containing allegations about national debt.  Requested immediate removal from any text lists and immediate cease and desist of sending unsolicited/unwelcome messages

I received a text message from sms@politicalett.com stating: "Pres.Obama is taxing our future. It's time to cut his future as President"  Come on GOP, get off my phone!

I got an anti-Obama text too. annoying!!!!

I got the same text message with anti-fracking note that mentions Heidi HideTramp.  The difference is I live in ND and I know that only a moron in ND would vote for her just because they got this text message.  She has changed her stripes in this very red state to appear to be pro-energy development, but those of us old enough to have known her back in the 80's, know she is a wolf in sheep's clothing who really supports increasing taxes on all business, strengthening the EPA stranglehold on industry, and is a strong O(Blah)ma supporter and fan of ObamaCare, all of which are extremely unpopular here.  In regard to the text, it is most certainly a scam and likely a phone number collection ruse, and above all no reason to vote for an idiot.  Rick Berg rocks.

This call is put out by a conservative PAC called Life and Marriage, and not by rick berg

I received the same text - now we have to deal with political ads via text messages!  Can't Verizon do something about this? Or the FCC?

Followed the instructions in the text and it took me to some prerecorded message about fracking. Whoever is doing this is definitely not a novice.

I got a political text message opposing heidi heitkamp. Now I'll vote for her. Came from an email address: Rom41@wins164.com and arrived via text message with this number attached as a contact number.

I just got a political text from it....no one has my number to text so this is obviously a mass text and highly illegal.

Two different days same number

I just looked up 888-895-0245 on US Search reverse look up and it indicates that the number is not a valid phone number. This is obviously a scam or fraud in my opinion and I'm sure that whoever is placing the calls is up to no good.

As with the posters above, I have been receiving nightly calls from this number. They do not leave a message. I too would like to know the identity of the individual or business. this has been going on for some time and I am feeling hrassed.
