I have been having these harrassing phone calls, it is an "outsource company", who are like gypsies and they roam about.
In Nov. 09, I cannot begin to tell you the # of calls I received from "Tennessee, 901-248-0600".  I told them then to "TAKE ME OFF THE LIST" and they did...for the remaining month of Nov. but when December hit, the calls started again!
I WAS LIVID!!!
This am, "Tennesse" called again, this time, someone was actually on the other end ( as they usually do not respond).  I spoke with "Bryan" and he was with "Childrens Miracle Network". I immediately asked to speak with his supervisor and he ho-hummed until he told me "HE WAS THE SUPERVISOR" (yeah, right!)....I LET HIM HAVE IT and told him that," I would NEVER give to this organization or to any organization for that matter because they call and call and continue to call, that if indeed, he WAS the supervisor he had the authority to take me OFF THAT master list of who to call.  That I considered what they were doing was harrassment."  He went into this spill, of it was not THEM who continued to call me and I admantly disputed that, but when I told him, 'I've even tried to return the calls and YOU DISCONNECT ME."
This is when he admitted that it was only an outsource company, there are NO calls accepted and that he had an list of where I had contributed before.

I then replied, "Yes, ONCE!  ONE TIME...and by that one time...you continue and continue and continue...and I will NEVER do it again, as sad as it is because of the children you say you help out. Therefore, I request that if indeed you are a supervisor that you take me off that master calling list!"

So, different "organizations" use this outsourcing company because THEY HAVE A MASTER LIST OF WHO TO CALL!
Two that I know of because of harrassing phone calls are "CHILDREN'S Miracle Network" and, "KID'S WISH NETWORK."

BEWARE OF THESE TWO ORGANIZATIONS...you give ONCE and you are hooked for YEARS of harrassing phone calls from them!

I had two calls, one at 5:05 pm 10/26/09 and one at 12:42pm 10/27/09.
this was just on my caller ID.  There was no message.

They are a huge scam.

I get calls 2 or more times a day from this number.  I am on the NO CALL LIST, and I have TOLD them to take my name off their list.  They still call!!!  I'm sick of it.

I took a few steps recently and it worked. Im not sure which phone call I made that did the difference but here it what you can try. 1~ Dont call FCC,that just will be a waste of time 2~ Call your State's Utility Commission- they will listen with interest 3~ Call Memphis' Better Business Bureau(BBB) They will talk with you but be sure you have all the info you can give them.They will ask for what they want,who they might be and they sure do want to know if you have info on their location.Do your best with BBB.In the end they might say they cant help,but I am very sure they are taking note of the situation and with enough calls to BBB about these harassing call,Im sure they are working on it. 4~ Call your State's Attorney General. They are very interested in these kinds of situations.They WILL file for you. After I called number 3 and 4,the calls stopped from the "Tennessee Kids Charity" harassers. Give it a try

They called 3 times before 1pm on a Saturday!!!!

I live in Springfield as well. I have been getting these same calls everyday since Oct 09. I called FCC with no real luck,then I called the Utility Commission...they said they would look into it. I went on ahead and called Memphis' BBB and they took my complaint but said they needed more info if I could get it.(They may say they cant really help,but have the feeling they are/were looking into it anyways) BUT,I called Ohio's Attorney General and they were interested in what I had to say....Im not sure which one of these phone calls I made worked but after the last call to the Attorney General...these people from Memphis suddenly stopped calling. To all who reads this,just do the same things I did,apparently this move must work. I suspect that either calling Memphis' BBB or your State's Attorney General will be the best bet

Everyone can start bombarding Memphis Better Business Bureau (BBB) at 901-754-1300 and they will get the picture after quite a few calls from us complaintees. Dont give up on them.

Have you had any luck with them not calling back anymore?

I never answer when this number or numerous others call.  This one calls 2 sometimes 3 or more times a day.  After about a week of this they stop and then in another week or 2 they start in again.  I never try to answer because I don't want to talk to them.  I am on a Do Not Call List but it doesn't seem to work with a charity.  I am not about to give in this way because probably a penny out of a dollar would get to the actual charity.  Someone must be giving to them or they wouldn't be harassing people all the time.

Same as everyone else.  They call all the time.  I usually ignore them, have even answered.  No one on  the line.

I receive numerious calls from this telephone number.  Caller ID Shows Tennesse, they never leave a message and never response when I answer.  My number is listed as a donot call number so why do they continue to call my home.

Calls 3-4 times a day for 4 months from this number.  The first time I answered, no one there so they hung up.  Can someone confirm which Kids' charity this is?  Just like everyone else, when I call the number, I get "this number is not in service."  Thanks.

This number calls our house 2 to 3 times a day and will not leave a message on the machine and won't talk.  On the one occasion that I did get someone to talk they said it was a charity organization and when I asked to be put on their do not call list, they hung up before they could register it.

I get am receiving 5-6 calles per day including Sundays even though I have registered several times on the do not call list.

Now that I've read other posts I will answer the phone the next time "Tennessee" calls. This is getting ridiculous. For months now, 3 or 4 times a day we get calls from them. We're already on a no call list so I'll tell the next person who calls to take us off their list. They call at all hours of the day and late evening and even on weekends. Wish I would have checked this number out a long time ago.

I am getting calls on my house phone several times daily from this number.  When I answer, no one is there.  If I let it go to Voice Mail, when I check later, no one leaves a message but Voice Mail says there is a message.

I have tried several times to return a call to this number but it either doesn't connect or simply doesn't go through.  This is a true nuisance-who is this person?  My called ID shows Dustin Steele.

They called twice today.  This has been going on over a year. We recently put our phone numbers on the gov 'Do Not Call' list.  Does this action block this number.

This is getting serious.  I'm tired of this number calling me.

I answered just to make sure...it's the same kids charity. They called all weekend long...3 times on Sunday.  Give me a break!!

I am sick of these calls.  No message is left.  Calls several times a week including Sunday.

Calls daily and even after 8 pm EST and you cannot call the number back as same as previous posters, it disconnects!

Calls received several times a day.Hangs up when answered. Husband disabled. Very, very irritating and inconvenient. Answering machine never has message. Please stop calling!!!!!!

this phone number calls me every day, morning and night, no one ever speaks.  When I speak they hang up.  When I call it back they hang up.  Sometimes they wake me up super early on the weekends, sometimes they wake me up super late at night.

I GET CALLS DAILY FROM STEELE DUSTIN AND I DO NOT ANSWER THE CALLS;
HOWEVER, I WANT THIS TO STOP.  THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS AND I AM ON THE "NO CALL" LIST.

I WOULD LIKE FOR EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT IT IS NOT AND I REPEAT NOT DUSTIN STEELE THAT IS ACTUALLY CALLING EVERYONE. YOU CAN ALSO FIND THIS NUMBER ON A WEB SITE CALLED NUMBER INVESTEGATOR.  YOU CAN READ ALL OF THE PROBLEMS THAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING AS WELL.  THE NUMBER IS ONE THAT DUSTIN HAD MANY YEARS AGO AND DISCONNECTED.  I CALLED MY CARRIER, AT&T, AND COMPLAINED AFTER A LADY CALLED ME WANTING TO KNOW WHY WE WERE CALLING HER ELDERLY MOTHER.  IT SEEMS THAT HER MOTHER GIVES AWAY MOST OF HER INCOME EVERY MONTH TO PEOPLE THAT CALL HER OR ASK FOR MONEY IN THE MAIL.  HER NAME MUST BE ON MANY LISTS.  I ASSURED HER THAT IT WASN'T MY SON AS HE IS NOT EVEN HOME DURING THE DAY WHEN THESE CALLS ARE MADE AND THAT HE IS A VERY HONEST AND HARD WORKING PERSON.  I CALLED MY CARRIER AT&T AND THEY SAID THAT IT WASN'T ONE OF THEIR NUMBERS AND THEN TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT MIGHT BE GOING ON.  THEY SAID THAT TELEMARKETERS WILL ACQUIRE A NUMBER AND HAVE SOMEONE'S NAME COME UP ON THE CALLER ID BOX (I DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULD DO THIS, I THOUGHT IT HAD TO SHOW YOUR NAME).  SHE SAID IT IS LEGAL AND THAT SOMEONE COULD EVEN PUT OBAMA ON IT IF THEY WANTED.  SHE FIGURES IT IS A TELEMARKETER BECAUE SOMEONE USUALLY ISN'T ON THE LINE WHEN YOU ANSWER (BECAUSE OF CALLS BEING MADE FROM A TELEMARKETING CENTER THE CALLER WOULD PROBABLY HAVE ANOTHER CALL GO THRU BEFORE ANYONE ANSWERED.  I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME IN THE PAST WHERE I ANSWER AND NO ONE IS ON THE OTHER LINE (NOT FROM THE 248-0600 AS AT&T SAID THE CALLS FROM THAT NUMBER APPEAR TO BE GOING TO THE SOUTHEAST OF THE COUNTRY AND I LIVE IN TENNESSEE). SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE CALLED MY HOME (THEY GET MY NUMBER THRU THE INTERNET UNDER MY SON'S OLD NUMBER OR NAME, I AM NOT SURE WHICH).  I TRY TO REASSURE THEM THAT IT IS NOT MYSELF OR MY SON CALLING THEM.  LAST NIGHT A LADY CALLED ME AT 11:00.  SHE WAS VERY UPSET.  THESE CALLS ARE VERY  DISTURBING.  I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT THE CARRIER FOR THE NUMBER IS MCI.  I WILL CALL THEM TODAY AND TRY TO GET THEM TO DISCONNECT THIS NUMBER OR AT LEAST TAKE MY SON'S NAME OFF OF THE CALLER ID.  I AM NOT SURE THEY WILL BECAUSE I REMEMBER WHEN MCI FIRST STARED AS A COMPANY.  THEY WOULD ILLEGALLY CHANGE A PERSON'S LONG DISTANCE CARRIER FROM AT&T TO MCI.  MAYBE IF EVERYONE CALLS MCI THEY WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT A COMPANY THAT IS USING SOMEONE ELSE'S NAME.  CAN YOU IMAGINE THE ANGUISH WE ARE GOING THRU.  
I HOPE ALL OF THE CALLS COME TO A STOP.

Same here. caller ID shows Steele Dustin.  I get at least 4 phone calls each day from 901-248-0600 and I wont answer.  I finally put in a block on this number. Hope it helps.

We have been getting calls from 901-248-0600. Same thing, when you answer, it disconnects. It's been happening, 2-3 times on same days...afternoon, evening. I'm going to try to block it. On caller ID it says Dustin Steele.
