I received the exact same email except mine came from a Mr. Kazuichi Naoki. He emailed me back a signed contract via pdf. but never sent earnest money. I repeatedly told him sellers would not sign without earnest money. He just stopped responding to my emails. I just can't figure out what the purpose of this scam is.

I also received an e-mail from "Mr. & Mrs. Hiroko" via The Real Estate Book website requesting that I send them some listings for a cash buy. I did send them various MLS listings and received an e-mail from them asking me to write up an offer on one of my listings. They gave me their contact information as:  Kikuko & Toru Hiroko

However, they advised contacting their financial consultant, Mr. James Walker, at Intact Financial Corp. in Woodbridge, Ontario at this 905 number. They included the letter from Mr. Walker but we noticed several spelling errors in the company header which made us suspicious. Thank goodness for the internet and postings like this!

Just recently I received an email through trulia and responded  after a process of three emails from a Mr. Hiroki in Japan looking to buy real estate. Sounded too good to be true after receiving a bank statement looking real with an address in Canada and an request to put in an offer on a house and help them find an attorney to communicate only by email and dealing the his advisor.

Email that came with bank statement has this number.  Thanks for the post.
