I received a phone call from CONTACT RESOURSE SERVICES at 905-855-5249 and spoke with a very rude and insulting individual claiming to be collecting for Citi-Financial. I have never had any contract or dealing with this company what so ever. The individual I spoke with made all kinds of ridiculous and false claims about this money I supposedly owed then claimed he would settle for an amount less than one third of what he initially claimed I owed. I asked to get it in writing so I could have evidence of the scam they were trying to pull but he refused. I stated that I wished to legally dispute the claim and that I wanted only to hear from the financial institution regarding any possible settlement and that all correspondence between CRS and myself should be by mail and that attempts to contact or harass third parties in this matter were to cease and desist. The response I got was threats and insults. I called back to speak with a manager and got even worse, more threats, insults, claims to ruin my life, harass any know work associates, and my mother. Really?............ My mother, a woman in her sixties. I was told he would not stop until he had shamed me publicly and personally and put me on the street, I tried to express my wishes for this harassment to cease and desist and was yelled at over and over repeatedly to drown out my request. What these people want, is to upset you, to elicit an emotion response or a threat that they can use against you.  What they are doing is criminal. They should be stopped.

I got ligit calls from Contact Resources last year for my ex bf's past due rogers account. All cleared up, didn't hear from them again - yay. Then a few weeks ago the calls started again for someone I had not heard of. Finally picked up & explained I've had this number for years & whoever they were calling was NOT at MY #. Asked them to remove my #, guess I'll see if they listen or if I have to put up with this harrassment.

I agree and the downside? The government willingly sells them THEIR debts as well. So the one thing you CAN do is track down the companies that you may or may not have a debt with if it is personal and/or 2 if it becomes harassment contact your nearest CRTC representative. With undue harassment it is the only agency that can deal with their repeated harassment. I know i have consulted them already and they told me to take down dates and times in which these people call. If enough of us complain then they as a govt rep have to respond.

Same problem, got a call from these people ask for "sarah" no last name, and when I was handed the phone they hung up. Like honestly whats the point of calling and asking for someone, and then hanging up ?

I kept receiving this call today. finally, I answered. The wmn was looking for someone.I told her I dont know this person,then hungup. But it kept calling.I answered again told her not to call.
She said "It's regarding XXX ( someone's name ) illegal matters, you can not hangup my call...."

That's toooooooooooooooooo bad. This is my personal cell phone, I have the right to hangup every no# I dont want to answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone named Dave calls us from that number aswell. My dad is a priest he keeps asking us if my dad keeps us up at night and asks for a virgin Mary to be put on the phone I think he is a very EVIL Man.

They never rebut because they are dealing in fraud under Federal laws (legal and lawful are different domains-you want to stay in the Republic where you deal in law not legal statutes or ACTS.  Learn meanings of words from law dictionaries (online ie: Blacks Law Dictionary)-you will discover words have a totally different meaning than what they teach in school! Use affidavits-sent registered mail (put the reg mail no. on the document and keep all receipts as lawful proof!!!) to  compel fraudulent companies to back off forever!!!  Study the law of contracts.  Collection agencies have no place in your business as you did not sign a contract with them. Neither do Attorneys because they do not swear an oath to the constitution and do not uphold the law of the republic.  They are NOT on your side-they steal your $$$ and your Power of Attorney=you are left with no rights!  COUNSEL on  the other hand allows you to keep your power of Attorney. Also study the Capital Dividend Account to see why CRA owes you!  They are an agency of the IMF, not a canadian company...Yes file your taxes and get back $ (millions) you never knew belong to your corporation (your name in all capital letters which is a trust). I have been receiving call from this guy to asking for john mac donald...i have had the number for like seven years and they only  started called me for the past year..i even told them im annoyed and there is no one with that name here..

they insist they have sent paperwork regarding money we owe but we have never recieved anything also aquired our unlisted  and private phone number . they have been very rude in their voice mail messages. we would never give money to people over the phone just because they say so, there are far too many scam artists out there. they dont seem to have our address which also seems a little strange if a company is legitimate. we will never give out any info about ourselves to complete strangers over the phone. these people need to find proper day jobs.

I have had many calls lately from this number asking for Richard and refereing to a case number. Most of the time it was an automated message, untill today when I had a live person on the phone who was very rude, annoying and unprofessional, telling me that I was lying about my identity and that I needed to fax proof that I was not this person. When I asked for their e-mail address she would not give me one. Of course I did not fax my ID after I researched this on the internet. Do not send your ID, they will probably just use this info to mislead other people.

I being receiving this call as well 905-855-5249, it true they do insist on a illegal level, it is harrassement. And well they were order to stop, and did not, they dont even respect the customer language am french i do my buniness in french and whit them no exeption. Now i even leave my fax machine on just to hassle them.

She's a real pain in the @ss. I just moved here from the States, she called me 2 weeks after I arrived and informed me I had a debt of over 5k with Leons, I said I don't know anyone named Leon; she started to freak out!!!!!! I swore at her in my very best gutter tongue and she goes Oh nice do you talk to your children like that, I said no only you because I can't think of any better way to speak to the likes of you. She threatened me with all sorts, like calling and speaking with my neighbors calling my family and generally making my life miserable and trying with all her might to embarrass me in my new country. I guess it's different in Canada, but I know there are a certain degree of rights available to people and since I wasn't sure of what they are here,I took it into my own hands and told her, I would find out who she was and where she lived, take a picture of her and photo shop it with her fu*king a big donkey and make sure it was distributed around her neighborhood.  I informed her that I was nothing like anyone she's ever met and that as of today she better look over her shoulder regularly because I have the time and the money to reciprocate any threat she planned to act on.  I mean honestly, how the hell can she respond to something like that, LOL. I found the converstaion most entertaining because I had nothing to lose.

I started getting calls from this number as well on my cell.... I pay off al my credit cards every month, and never have owed anyone anything, yet they have started leaving messages every other day. I oviously never answer them, because after reading many posts, it seems like complete horse $#!T.  Is there no way to block numbers to a phone so they just cant get through?  Perhaps I'll just let them know that "I" have recently passed away, maybe thats what it will take to stop these calls.

CONTACT RESOURCE SERVICES  are nothing but Thieves. I paid off my debts July 2010 that's about Two to three months back and received a letter from them stating that I paid off in full all my Roger's mobile outstanding, I also have copies of Banks transfers and amount of money taken from account by CRS to pay off the outstanding. All over the sudden an A**hole from CRS side phoned me this morning, Angry and shouting!! claiming that the outstanding not being paid!???? I phoned Rogers to complain, and found out that CRS did not inform their Clint (Rogers) about my payments neither about the status of my file, it looks like these bustards did this in purpose so they can scam me and Rogers with more unlawful money!  I informed Rogers that I paid off all my debt and that they have to invistigate the reasons why CRS did not update them???!! The way I see it CRS is nothing but thieves, accompanied with unprofessional behavior of unorganized work!! it makes me wonder how many victims like me should suffer because of these stupid a**holes!?? I have informed my Lawyer about all this and we have decided to sue them for harassment and false accusation

These people called me today and they are the rudest people I have ever talked to. They asked me for my name and yet they are telling me that I did not pay for my account.I dont get it. They are talking to me as if I had something unpaid since 2002. I only moved to this country in 2006.

Man calls us repeatedly from this number, raises his voice, yells at us, angry, threating to keep calling; about an unanmed legal matter supposedly. Wants us to give him more information, lies blatently, also insisting we are the person he's looking for. Very upsetting.

We've recieved numerous phone calls from this number looking for a Tammy Elliott...they will not believe that I am not her, despite my insistence that I have NO IDEA who she is. Elliott is a pretty common last name! The worst part is there has been an emergency in my husband's family, and we've been getting phone calls from family in that area code, so I can't even just not answer the phone when I see that area code, because I don't know his family's numbers past the area code! This is so frustrating.
