Received the same message/txt yesterday from the same number. I didn't call or txt back, so I appreciate those who took the time to investigate. Moments like these remind me to take extra precaution to safeguard my personal information. Watch your backs peeps!

Text on my cell saying to call, after buying on eBay about 4 hrs prior. Purchased from my tablet though, not my phone. I never reply to any odd numbers, they'll contact me again if it's someone I know.

I had just made a purchase online at Gettington.com and received the text. I didn't call it back based on everyone's feedback. Thank you!

I called the number from a pay phone and it says your prepaid debit card has been deactivated or something like that. Please enter 16 digit card number. I entered a random 16 numbers but it would not accept the numbers. It appears to be a scam. There is a private investigator from Arizona named Rick Roy with Rix Investigators who started harnessing me today and I think he sent it to me. Don't enter your card number.

Yes, it's definately a scam!!!!! The area code has nothing to do with where the call is actually coming from. This number is related to credit/debit/or pre-paid cards. If you've recently made an online purchase, somehow they recognize the type of card used, even thought they cannot get your number info. (unless you give it to them). So the number you call depends on the card type. There is a very cheap sounding recording that says," Thank you for calling netspen security, we regret to inform you that your (type of card used) has been locked. To re-activate it, please press1 (asks for card info, steals all your money) or to leave, press 2. I called the # back with a different phone, so there is no way they could know it was me. The strange thing is I think it might be related to ebay mobile, somehow. I just installed it the same day. Maybe not, but that's the only connection my card type would ever have with my phone number. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD INFO!!!!!!!

Just received a mass text message with the number (907) 341-3678. A reverse look-up shows it is serviced by Alaska Telecom, but their security and operations center said it is not valid. It's a good possibility it is a revamped "Nigerian Scam" to sucker people into calling it. Then your number gets billed for $$$$$$. You don't take the loss after you contest the charge. Your telephone company does.

Text says "Important Message" Please call (907)341-3678. I don't like calling numbers I don't know. My guess is this is some kind of scam to get more info. ? Just wondering if anybody actually called the number.
