This number keeps calling us...if you answer it or if the answering machine answers it, you get a loud "FAX TRANSMISSION" noise

Have been getting calls from this number repeatedly (nightly), late in the evening. They are always a fax machine trying to connect. Caller ID shows "Alternative Res..." (I'm guessing resources, and it a robo-call fax machine with a bad number (ours)! There should be a way to block unwanted calls like this.

Have received many fax calls from area codes 940 and 817 including this number. Has become extremely annoying. Can anyone stop this?

This number calls me frequently, leaving a message on my voice mail that is nothing more than the fax shriek.

1-940-891-2596 continues to call my cell phone just about every other day.
No one is on the line? When you attempt to return the call you either receive a fax tone or a busy tone. This has been going on for some time.
Annoying!

Also received a message left on my ans. machine by this number. It was those warbally beeps that you hear when a fax machine calls a phone line. Never bothered to call the number to see if someone answered.

940-891-2596 called us May 7th at 4:26PM PST, we never answered, no message.
Calling back to it reveals it's another automated dialer.
