This guy texted me about buying my trailer for sale on Craig's list. Said he would send check.  Then a text a couple weeks later and said he talked with the courier and secretary and the check was delayed, but was resolving it.  Looks like I was a scam victim here, too.  Something too fishy.

texted me: "Do this item still for sale" with the title of my CL ad following. saw a lot of yack online re: this number, so i am not responding.

Does anyone know who this is?

Wow..glad I Googled this guys number!  I had the same exact thing, same wording from this guy.  Almost sent him my address...don't know what the scam would be, but something's up.

Same here, Don, Patrick and Mac.   He wanted to know if I was still in possession of the item I had placed on Craig's list.  Said he was going to send me a certified check from bank of america for the amount that he was on business in New York!  Did not want to know anything about the item for sale.  Asked me to take it off of Craigs List until his private carrier could pick it up "after" his check cleared..

I agree with Don.  I put a Craigslist add in just last night, and someone from 2000 miles away wants to send a cashier's check for over $1,000 without asking for any additional information - ready to buy on the spot.  Seems highly suspicious someone would be willing to send a cashier's check (even though it is B.O.A.) without getting more information, especially via text message.  In addition, the english is spotty as well which is highly suspicious.

caller texted info from a Craigslist add. number appears to be a Colorado area code and I am Mn.  I Determined it to be a scam
