Received call from 443-345-1928. Two calls already this week. Same issues as previous posts.  They do not understand NO, NOT INTERESTED, OR REQUEST TO BE REMOVED FROM CALL LIST!!!

I called the number back as I have been getting so many lately that it made me mad. I asked how to be removed from the list and they told me there wasn't a list, that it was cold calling off the internet. So yes, this is how they figure out the boss' name, etc. and act like they are old pals. Still showing up as SMS, called already 3 times today and 3 times yesterday, which is illegal. Putting them on DNC will do nothing if they are googling companies and calling for the business owner.

Caller ID says SMS.  Caller asks for business owner by nickname, says he is from Chris Nelson's office.  Hung up on me when I ask if it is a solicitation call.  We have told these people no fewer that 10 times to take us off of their list and told them that we are on the Do Not Call Registry.  They do not answer when you try to call them back.

Next step, reporting them to the BBB.  Even though they are just a lobbying group, they have still helped in the past.

I suggested they could send a letter if they wanted to present a business opportunity to the "president" of my company. - Identified themselves as SMS Corp and tried to indicate it was an urgent matter with someone they already spoke to (but who's name they could not pronounce).

These guys are scum of the earth telemarketers. They dont go by the rules and when you ask them to put you on their do not call list they ignore it. The next time they call they are getting a blowhorn to the ear!!!!!

He said that he knew the owner and didn't have his phone on him so could I please give him the number.
When i asked what the call was about he said that he was a building contractor and he wanted to buy some products from us. I told him that we don't give out that info and then he said that he was looking through his Rolodex and found the number . He then hung up on me. Classic Telemarketer trying to get info.

Got call today at 1:30pm and stated 'this is the last chance, since they have called previously with no response', let's hope so.  They stated that it was our last chance to lower our credit card rates to just 6% and that we had to owe more than $3000.00 and have at least one card in good standing.  Please, I am sure this is just a fishing scam to get my credit card information.  Thanks for posting you experiences.  It just reinforced my gut feeling that this was a scam.

A Brian Johnson called our office and asked to speak to the "Owner of the Comapny."  The receptionist said that he is on another line and could he take a message.  Brian Johnson said "no that he would call him back."  I got the phone number off of Caller ID and called Brian Johnson back and told him to take our number off of his list and to "Google" his own phone number to look at the negative feedback that is posted.  He said he would take our number off of the list and thanked me for the information I gave him about his phone number listed.  Let's see if he actually does!

Add 971-259-4236 to the list of numbers these guys use.  They are just as bad as the other posts say.

When they ask for the owner, I simply retort that I need their name to see if they are on the owners' list to take their call. If they are, then they are to be connected right away immediately to the owner. They ALWAYS hang up and rarely call back.Or, I just tell them I will put them through immediately but I need their phone number in case we get cut off and the owner can call them back.

This 'abs' caller has annoyed all at our office. And yes, the caller seems to think that by treating the gatekeeper with indifference and the troll manners they are taught by their superiors, that this is going to make me bend? When I see the 'abs' in my caller id, I just pick up then hang up. They call back, then I repeat the same. Then again. Then again. After ignoring the 5th one, they seem to 'get the message' for now anyway. All at my office are instructed to do the same.

This guy has started calling more often. I told him the owner was out for the day (which is who he asked for) and yet he just called back. I put him in the caller ID as "crap" so every time he calls I hang up on him!

Calls and asks for the owner. He's called multiple times in the last few weeks. He said his name is Brian Johnson. I asked if he had a number he could be reached at he said "no just tell him I called". Pretty sure the owner has NO idea who he is. Spam call.

Just got a call from some stuttering moron would kept asking if we were a mfg or wholesaler.

This has been going on for weeks. I wonder how they pick & chose the business they are going to target? Everything stated above is true- rude, tricky, unprofessional...borderline harassment given how many times you tell them not to call and they still do. We are also on the Nat'l Do Not Call list...However, I am in Oregon, as apparently they are too, and will be reporting this number to the Secretary of State here. We'll see if that does anything.

I have been receiving calls for months. I tell them the same thing every time, this is not a number that you can reach the owner but that I would be happy to take a message. Every time the guy hangs up. This time he left a message Joel Heffler with a call back number of 847.946.8522, I asked him if he had a message that he would like attached and he said "I am interested in speaking with the owner" When I checked the caller ID I noticed that the number was different SMS 971.259.0458. And then I checked out the number and Google led me here. I wish there was a way to stop them from calling.

Received a call at 3:20 pm asking for owner by name and when's a good time to reach him.  When I asked who's calling, I received no response.  I asked again and still received silence.  He hung up, but I was able to write this number down from the message screen.

They keep calling here and not leaving a message -- Called at 7:45 am today -- claim they will have some rep in our area over some business issue.  Told them no way and to take us off their list.

This company has called about 15 times--4  in the past 2 weeks.  The owner, who happens to be on vacation (which I told them), does not wish to take their calls and I told them so the 2 previous phone calls.  They've gotten to a point now where they ask for him by his first name, like they were old pals, after butchering his last name several times in the beginning.  All I do is look at the caller id and let them know he's out or I'll take a message--and without fail, they hang up.  Very rude and unprofessional.

Very rude, very persistent. Insisting on speaking with the owner regarding business matters, blah, blah, blah.  Politely told the owner does not accept cold calls, sales calls, solicitations of any kind, but they keep on calling.   Our company is on the do not call list, doesn't seem to matter.  I wish there were a way to put a stop to this harrassment.  SMS was the caller ID with the phone number.

There was lots of noise in the background and the phone would cut in and out (Like a telemarketer). They claimed to be Theresa from some Engineering company but the call seemed very weird. She was asking for the owner of my architectural firm but I didn't buy what she was trying to sell. Gave me a call back number of 312.451.7926. Of course there will be no call back.

These losers call asking for the owner and when you ask them if they want to leave a message they start with the names. I told them to stop calling and in the same day I received 16 calls and counting.

Get a life!

I got the same call! Asking for the president of the company, they knew his name and said he was expecting the call, when I asked him he was NOT expecting a call and when I tried to take a message the caller hung up on me! weird...

Good Morning Everyone....seems I am back after a month rest from this company...lol.  Anyways caller ID now says SMS caller asking for company President/Owner.  I asked him his name/what regarding and said I would check w/owner and if he was interested he would call back.  He said well he isn't interested because I called you you didn't call me.  lol.  DAH   IF HE ISN'T INTERESTED THEN DON'T CALL ME!  LOL. Anyways as he was asking me if I knew anything about his company I hung up.  Sure am thankful for my job and that I don't have to have theirs!

I called the number back (971-259-0458) and spoke with a nice man who said he would take care of taking my number off the call list right away. We'll see...

Looks like they keep changing their story. They keep calling but always ask for my boss (which they can't even say his name right). Thanks to all of you I know to watch out for them. Now they are saying they are from a Tony Dawson's office and are trying to schedule a meeting...... right....

received 8 calls this morning from ABS 971-259-0458 from Dennis.  each and everytime he said that he called the wrong number.  THis exact same thing occured back in March & May.  A few days following this I would then get multiple calls every day from SMS from Fred Dale's office.  Very pushy and everytime they would hang up on me when I told them to not call again.
This sounds like a very big scam. BEWARE!

Same messages as above.  Asking if I wsa owner, and that they are a business development compnay.  They can add 250k-300k to our business.  I played him on for a while before tireing and finally stated that I am not interested.  
Very pushy.  Whole lot of "Too good to be True" comments.

These people keep calling, asking for the owner. When I say I am related and would be glad to help,
they hang up, or give a rude response.

When asked to be taken off the list, they keep calling.

Can anything be done?

We receive calls from ABS ALL THE TIME!  Today it was Yolanda calling on behalf of Diana somebody.  When I "disconnected" the call, she called back.  When I hung up on her, she called back.  When she started to get nasty, I hung up again.  She denied they were "ABS".
