They use different numbers, so there are a lot of people being harassed.
I need to set up my free online phone so I can fill up their phone message boxes. That will irritate them.
Anyone in Toronto can call them local, I put the news on to fill the mailbox and walk away. Don't forget to press 3 to save the message for them.
They use the expired program to get their foot in the door, then the pressure sales.

thank goodness for caller ID.  if I dont recognize the number, name or they do not leave a message, they have wasted their money.

Keep getting calls from this # not sure who it is. they dont say anything when i answer. the # is 971-373-2931

I've never answered my phone when this number appears in "call display", but occurances are on average once or twice a week, and there is never a message left.   I'm going to put this number in the "blocked numbers" file.

when I see a number I don't know I answer... Canadian Defense Department how did you get this number as it is unlisted

Just got a call about an hour ago. I won't pick up the phone, they didn't leave a message (again) and I'm also on a 'do not call list'. Like Bantrybay Girl I'm sick to death of all the callers she mentioned. I would never do business under such a phone call contact and I don't know anybody else who would. They're wasting their time and mine. Don't these people  ever stop their futility and stop wallowing in the obvious?

number is from Ontario Eco Energy, creating the appearance of the ON government offering a free eco assessment of your heating system, ducts etc. nothing but a new angle for selling duct cleaning services.

Just got a call from this number and It was for the Ontario eco energy program, telemarketing at best and is suspicious, could hear many voices in backgroud ( boiler room workers ) tying there best to screw people over. On do not call list here in Ontario for what it's worth ( nothing).

Be very careful.

Did not answer started getting regular calls twice a day don't answer scam

Just called here - did not answer of course.  I'm seriously thinking of getting rid of my landline.  So sick of 5-6 telemarketer calls daily.....

Received a call today.

Given that the Ontario Home Energy Audit rebate program ended March 31, 2012, I'm suspicious of their reason for calling.

We get a call from this telephone at least 2 times a day withput anyone responding to our response. When you call this number it dose not ring. The number is from Portland Oregon

Asked for Mac Bhaird my maiden name so I knew it was a telemarketer right away - Before she could say anything else I asked who she was and I was told that they were Ontario Eco Energy, a goverment program and that I qualified for the Eco Energy Assessment Rebate Program -

I asked where did they get my phone number and she said from the goverment database - I asked her was she aware of the "DO NOT CALL" list - and told her our number was on that list - She said it did not apply to her since she was not a telemarker! What else was she but a telemarker!

she was not ready for the next part though - My husband and I actually did the Ontario Eco Energy Grant Program 2-years ago- replaced the furnace, ac, heat exchange unit, insulation attic, caulking and had received the rebate cheques.

I asked her how could our name be on the list considering we had completed the Eco-reno and cashed the goverment cheques.

She has no come back - So I told her I would be reporting her phone number to the "DO NOT CALL" list for violation of the policy. not sure if she heard the end as she hung up.

Really tired of all of the we can lower your credit card rates, need new windows, duct cleaning telemaketing calls. On average it's about 4-daily and they never take you off the list which does not make any sense as I NEVER going to do business and they are wasting there time.

If you are interested in doing the Eco Energy program look up the Canadian phone numbers on the canadian websitest - Just google the key word - We did all the paper work ourselves it's easy.

DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY

Claims they are from Ontario Eco Energy, a government program.  So why are they calling from an Oregon number?  Told me they were not telemarketers but wondering why the ontario govt would hire a call centre in the USA!!!  I asked to be put on their do not call list. We'll see.

Answered today....asked for me or my husband by name....claims to be from Ontario Eco-energy and started asking questions about A/C, furnace & water heater. Even knew my address. Told them that we had all brand new appliances (not exactly true) and they hung up.

How do we stop this

First received calls from this phone number May 1, 2012 and have received at least about 6 in the last day.  No one answers when we pick up the phone.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of these annoying calls?

This is crazy! I am on the no call list and I think it just signed me up for more unwanted calls. I would love to block them but there is a fee on my phone for blocking and the more you block the more it cost. Our phone is unlisted as well. By the way the new scam in AARP is companies want YOU TO CALL THEM BACK AND WHEN YOU DO YOU ARE HOOKED UP TO A LINE OVER SEAS and the phone companies let them do it for the bigger your bill the more taxs they can charge.

4 calls before 1pm 4/30/12.  picked up once, no response, no message left on machine

Just started receiving these calls today.  Half a dozen so far and it isn't even 3pm!   Caller ID says PacificTel.....had previously been getting calls with same ID from 971-220-1118 and 971-220-1262.  Can't figure out who is calling, I don't answer.  Finally blocked calls using *60 on my phone, I hope it works, I have never used this feature before.
