972- is the prefix of land lines and cells for part of Dallas, Texas.  It is a new exchange set up about 7 years ago.  Nothing to do with Idaho or Germany.

Called tonight and said it was Dish Network. I asked to speak to a supervisor because I'm on the do not call registry. He said he was the supervisor. I asked again and he said to hold on and hung up on me.

Caller wanted to know if I was the owner of the number. I said no. When will they be in? I said I didn't know.

My wife recieved a call today from someone stating that they were calling from Indonsesia, and the the IRS was wanting to deposit $1,000.00 into our bank account.  He had all of our banking information, and said it would be deposited tomorrow, read off our correct home address, he gave us a number for the tax return #090707.  Wanted us to verify all information so their wouldnt be any mistake.  Very rude and un-business like.  We all know how these people are.  They need to quit calling us and head home on their bannan boat or a body bag.. Preferrably the latter....

This guy called with a very thick accent and wanted to know if my mother was ready to cum...and he even knew my mother's name.  He immediately hung up.

Received a call from this number. Very hard to understand. A woman wanted to know how much I owed on my credit card. I said it was none of her business. She said it was her business. I hung up.

Got several calls from this number. I just called it & got a message saying "voice mailbox was full". Reverse phone searches say it's a land line either in Plano or Irving. How can we stop these jerks?

Called me at 1:00 am. I didn't answer, and no message was left

Relax. This number is used by calling cards. The number itself doesn't indicate whether it's a call you do or do not want to accept. For example:

A good call: Today my wife called to ask what time she should have dinner ready. She was my using Pingo.com's calling card service

A bad call: Let's say someone wants to murder me. They hide their identity behind a calling card, ring me to see if I'm really home, then they come by with a gun and that's the end of me.

So if you see this number, it just means, "Calling card," and you don't know further than that if it's a friend or foe.

This guy called me and wanted banking information because the company he worked for showde that someone was taking money out of my account and they were going to replace it. I asked him why he was calling and not my bank since we own a very small portion of the bank. Ha hung up on me. I don't know if he is stupid enough to call back (my guess is yes)but I have alerted my family not to give out any information.

BEWARE!!!

Just got a call from the same fool - told he that we have told him to remove our number from his call back list and if we receive any more calls from him we would bill his company $500.00 for each new call we receive, his reply was so what we don't know where works so we could not do anything.  I guess we can get in touch with the phone company file a complaint and have the number blocked.  But if he is running a scam and using phones that are suppose to be no longer in service not sure they don't have a way to just get another number.  Lets face it he is a loser with just to much time on his hands.

This man called from 972-836-5656 stating he was with the gov. and that I was owed 5000.00.  He only needed me to verify my account # and the money would be deposited to my account.  Yeah right, the goverment calling to let you know they owe you money......I hope they track this loser and put a stop to him....

Mother just got a call this morning from a very hard-to-understand man wanting her banking, ssn, etc information.  He stated that he had the new card that all American citizens needed to get.  pffffffft!! This really angers me.

I keep getting calls from these people. I can barely understand them and it says Cass Onlyone on my caller id. They were saying something about my school loan intrest payments being lowered but i'm not even in the repayment process. I still have 2 years of school to go. I just keep hanging up on them hoping that they'll get the picture.

I got a call while I was at work on my cell phone and didn't answer. I called back and got a message saying "DFW zero-1 no longer in service"
My advice to anyone who actually talks to them is to mess with them, make them feel like crap, make a game out of it. Maybe they'll hang up before you do

I just got a call from this number----972-836-5656, the caller i.d. said "Cass Onlyone", and the whole message was in Spanish.  Needless to say I did not understand a word of the message as I am an American and do not live in Mexico, although it feels like I do when I get calls such as this.  Really irritating!

this number is an indian guy that "supposibly" was calling from Idaho and was with a company telling me that I had won a free trip. I told him to stop calling me and he refused because he said he wanted to be my friend! I told him no and then he called from this local number! I dont know whats going on!

i tried to call the # back and i get a recording that the # is no longer in service. what a deal.

Same ole BS. Callas with so much background noise that I couldnt understand the b*****d swine if I wanted to.

When I suggested that, he hung up.

Called and said he wanted me to give to the Texas State Troupers, who I do donate to. I said I was mowing me lawn, since they usually have State Toupers on the caller ID. I said to call in a couple months. He said "what? it takes you 2 months to mow your lawn?" I said, "yes... I am a slow mower." He hung up.

A call from my home to my office.  My office phone showed the caller was 972-836-5656, which is NOT my home phone number.  This happened a few times already.  Don't know why.

Indian person saying he was sending a Medical card for full coverage for medical, dental, etc., for the entire family.  Wanted to know where my Social Security check was being deposited.  When I said I wouldn't give him the bank he said be prepared to pay higher medical insurance.  
Had the wrong name and my old address.

VCaleld our company line - it's a phone slamming service as well, switching your phone to a new toll carrier.  They called claiming to be with GTE/Verizon and were updating their phone listings.  In the middle of them trying to get information out of me, I hung up on them and contacted Verizon, who verified that they are not with their company.  This number called us bakc and I told them off something good, and they hung up on me when I told then I called to verify who they were with Verizon.  Today I got another call from them as well, and they immediately hung up.

Daughter just called and said a guy called that she could barely understand and was talking about my bank account and something about wanting to put money in my bank account. Thankfully my daughter knew better and ended the call. She said she  thought he said his name was Harld Shepherd, due to the accent she couldn't understand clearly what he said. It showed up as Unknown Caller on the Caller ID.

"Joshua" persistantly calling wanting mobile numbers and email addresses for managers.  Would not tell me anything else or leave a number.  VERY hard to understand what he was saying.
