So i received a call from Officer Allen Parrish, threatening me to pay 2x the amount that i received not even two weeks ago and if i didnt pay he could promise me that i would get fired form my job and arrested. So i told them give me more details as to how a loan defaulted two weeks after i received...never seen a default happen so fast....and that the company had crashed. As i was looking at the companies site which actually was still accepting loan applications. So then i began asking question like when did it default? they never answered that question so then i asked for a supervisors name and they put Officer Max Wilson on the phone who actually sounded just like the guy who i was talking to and he then began threatening to so then i asked what company they worked under and they began screaming yelling at me. So i laughed and told them there call was being recorded as well and then hung up and began my research. Him having so much of my info scares me so I am in the process of closing my account (even tho he had no account numbers or routing numbers) but he has my social. I am also writing a complaint to the company who i received the loan from

I got a call form a rude guy from this number and told me he was going to arrets my father and mother and me and my wife and take my passport away and put me in jail.  When I told him that if this is a court recording (which he purported we were being recorded) he hung up.

My dad got the call and dad do not speak English, so they left message on his cell phone. I called back and officer Von Davis (who then transferred to Office Parrish)was saying that my dad has 3 charges press and my whole family would be arrested for that and he also said that they would report to the immigration services and we would be sent back to the place we came from (sounded funny as we are all US citizen). Also, were not telling what department they belong to. I called "911" and let officer talked to them and they started talking vaguely not disclosing which department they belong to and finally hung up. Also, both the officer had a strong Indian accent and seemed like calling from some call center (can hear other background conversation).

same thing as others.. Indian guy called.. I was on internet and got this thread.. .so, can say bit more prepared than others...
I started speaking in Hindi (my native Indian language) and he responded to that in English... so I asked "how you replying to Hindi"...

It was really funny ripping the guy apart! Must be sitting in tatti, doing hagga... bhosri kaa...

I received a voicemail from an "Officer" who said someone I know is under investigation. The man had an accent. When I called back, they wanted to know who they were talking too, I didn't tell them. They asked who they called and left a voice message for, I told them they can look it up themselves via the phone number. The accent man then found my name and cellular phone number and repeated it back to me. I told him a 14 year old in China can put up that sort of information. I then asked what the person was under investigation for. He wouldn't say. He transferred the call to another "officer." I asked again. He wouldn't answer, then both (on 3-way) started giggling. I told them never to contact that phone number and hung up.

You can certainly do the trace. But I was warning that Verizon charges you $3.00 per trace and will not release any info to you. Verizon only provides the trace info to law enforcement. This group is using multiple phone numbers. The latest being 1-000-000-0000. I think they may be located in California and using something like Google Voice or SKYPE to alter the caller ID.

Check if you answering machine or wireless phone can block calls. That works very well. Your phones don't even ring when a blocked number call comes in. If no ID you can set them to go directly to messaging.

Why don't we have it traced.

My father received a call today from some "Officier Maxwell" and said that the police were on thier way right now to arrest my father. They said it was some bank fraud.  Yes, they did have an indian forgein accent which I thought was really funny! Im Indian so come on "Officer Maxwell" Total fraud!

They called on my home phone claiming I had three legal civil suits against me..When I questioned them the man with the thick accent became heated and said the police are coming for me. I said please send them my way, and he hung up. I looked up the number, found this thread, contacted my police and cleared up that I wasn't in any trouble, and then called them back and gave them a piece of my mind. They start cursing back at you in english and in other languages. They began calling my house number simply to harass me, so I immediately had their number blocked. Called them back again and told them the police were tracking them, they again cursed me, began panicking, and hung up... Unbelievable

My phone's caller ID showed this number and NASSAUZN05, NY.  I just now got a call from an Officer Ron Devis who claimed he was calling from Crime Investigation Department.

Its nothing no need to panic its fake. just tell them ill go to the cops the theyll hang up.

I just now got a call from an Officer Mike Johnson who claimed he was calling from Crime Investigation Department. When I asked him what COMPANY he was calling from, he refused to tell me that information. He said we were on a recorded call and that three attorneys were listening to the call. He definitely sounded like an Indian (I recognize the accent as I am from India, too). I have been in this country for a few decades so my accent is not so Indian anymore. He got very irate and frustrated as I kept pushing him to divulge his company name, but he wouldn't budge. And ultimately, he called out a profanity and told me that I am in serious trouble. He asked me if I thought I was Barak Obama - it was so funny. I talked to him with a pronounced Indian accent like his to frustrate him. He put me on hold for a couple of minutes and then the phone got disconnected. My phone's caller ID showed this number and NASSAUZN05, NY.

Learned today Verizon charges $3/trace. See my post  9/5/12.

UPDATE - My 8/27/12 comment suggested using Verizon's CALL TRACE  (*57). Today I learned that Verizon charges $3 per trace.  I called Verizon about the charges and they could not find anything about the charges  except pay the bill.  

I will write complaint to PA PUC about this charge. It appears Verizon makes good money on SCAM calls too.  No wonder we are getting so many calls.

My wife has been getting these calls on her cell as well.  The gall of these clowns calling as oficer and trying to scare individuals into revealing numbers.  I called them and told them to back off.  They promise to take off the call list but don't expect them to comply.  Thank you GWIZZ for the *57 tip.  I will let my wife know so she can track.  Bunch of bozo's!!!!  Officer Ron Davis with an Indian accent.  GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a call from this number as well.  Could not understand the accent well but said that my social security number is under investigation and they will be reporting me.  My concern is they have my name?  Does anyone know what this is????

I have not worked at my job for over a year a co-worker called me stating the same things dont believe them this is not the first time someone like this has called my work or cell phone I even had my boss call the number back and talk to them when I was working at the number I got called at he was rude to my boss too and hung up on her nothing ever happened to me

Got a call today from a officer Von Davis stating that I have three charges against me if i don't pay a certain amount they are going to proceed to court. He also had a thick accent and said he was from the state investigation dept.

Called at work from "Officer Allen Parrish", another Middle Eastern with an American name. IT IS FRAUD. He said i got a loan one month ago, then a few sentences later 6 months ago. He also said the loan would not show up on my bank statements. HAHAHAHAHAHA. thats when I figured out what was going on. DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY MORE INFO THAN HE HAS!!!!!!!!!!

I got a phone call from this number and it is a fraud so watch out.  Impersonated as a criminal investigator. Was not that at all. Is a scam to get my information.

8/27/12- Today i had a co worker text me that an Office Jack Green needed me to call them back ASAP, i did, like everyone else has said they had a foriegn accent, and to top it off they kept asking me for my social, and freaking out as they were talking to me and breathing hard like they just ran. They told me that i was under federal investigation and what not, DO NOT GIVE THEM OUT ANY PERSONAL INFO!!!!!

I have two different cell numbers and have received call on both. Telling me that my name and social are under investigation for some crime.  I figure this must be a scam. The person that called me was an 'Officer Danny Johnson' and did have a foreign accent. Told me on the message he left good luck if I don't call or my attorney. I may just ask my attorney to call them, that would be interesting to hear what they have to tell her.

This is a scam. I have been getting calls from these guys for several months. They use different phone numbers from all over the US. They did however answer on this number and I provided a recording to PA State police who are investigating. They do make financial threats and pose as "State Investigators".

Have also had Verizon place call traces on their numbers. Use *57 to do the trace which will be recorded in the central office for Federal case since they dialed threatening calls across state lines.

So don't give out any info, and start using the *57 on your phone.

i got a call from an officer michael brown,the first call was an agent johnson but anyway they say there bci and if i dont pay so and so i will be arrested immediately and they call my place of work and everything. they do not speak very good english and when you ask them questions they get highly upset and start more threatening. they will not send you a letter to the place you supposedly owe or give you any info about it,they say you will see it in jail
