Now they are using the number, which is surely spoofed, with an incoming caller id of "Secure ID". They were targeting my spouse. No other information available, but it was a real human. I asked for their name - Secure ID Corporation - their website, no reply, their state of incorporation - no reply - and they hung up, but not before I told them to never call here again, to which the lady with the heavy Indian accent replied "we will call back again" like at a more convenient time? Since when is a scam call ever convenient?
Robo-calls, spoofing caller IDs. Do not answer, ignore, make the calling not profitable by never answering.
Annoyed Worker From Home
This number calls me several times a day. If I answer, no one is there. If I don't, they do not leave a message. I work from home several days a week and these calls are interfering with my job. I am not a JCP&L or PSE&G customer and I am not eligible for or interested in changing my electric company. I am on the Do Not Call List. This has got to stop.
Since my call to Level 3 I have not received any calls! So just updating that they did what they said. Finally my phone is void of these harassing calls.
I called Level 3 this morning.
When I told them what was happening, the person I spoke with told me that "a lot of times, the internet is not right" (this in regards to how I found out that all of these numbers were associated with Level 3). I confirmed that Level 3 is a telecom company like Verizon or ATT. These numbers that are calling you are "spoofed numbers" and are not real. Therefore, Level 3 can't do anything. Supposedly.
Calling their complaint line resolves nothing. At this point, they are not even offering to remove your phone number from "their system". This was utter horseschidt to begin with. They are now advising people to call their telephone providers to block these numbers, which, I've already stated is a NON SOLUTION for numerous reasons.
If anyone has anything new to add, or any other suggestions, please do so.

As I posted on this complaint thread, as well as the complaint thread for all the other related phone numbers, I have already asked the live reps at each of these numbers (more than once) to remove my telephone number from their calling list. They are REQUIRED by FTC and Do Not Call Registry rules to comply with your verbal request to remove your phone number from their company calling list, regardless of whether or not you are on the Do Not Call Registry, and they are not supposed to call people that ARE on the Do Not Call Registry at all.
As I have stated, these people BLATANTLY LIE that they will remove your phone number and never do it (or they hang up as soon as you make the request). This is on top of ignoring phone numbers on the Do Not Call Registry.
I am skeptical that calling Level 3 Communications "annoyance call line" will do anything. Level 3 is merely a vendor for these mystery companies that are harassing us. Level 3 has no authority to tell any of their clients/customers to do anything. A vendor's primary concern is their client's satisfaction, not YOURS and MINE. WE are not Level 3's customers...these 2 mystery phone spammers are. Even if I can believe that a Level 3 employee named "Kimberly" will send an email request to their clients to remove our telephone numbers, why would these mystery companies comply when they won't even comply with a direct verbal request from the actual complainant? Again, they blatantly lie that they will remove your phone number, and they are under no legal or compliance obligations with Level 3. These phone spammers don't even care about being compliant with FEDERAL regulations.
But I will call Level 3 tomorrow and give it a shot anyway. I will continue to monitor this thread and will come back to update when/if I get any action from Level 3. I hope you will too. It would be useful to compare outcomes.
Really, the key here is find out who these 2 phone spamming companies are. There have been a few people that have posted in these phone complaint threads that they actually did take one of these companies up on their offer, but no one ever specifically names what company it is. I don't understand how these companies can be cloaked in such anonymity. And I don't undertsand how Level 3 can claim not to be able to divulge their identities. It's an FTC/FCC rule that when these companies contact you, they MUST give their name. These companies not only hide their identity, they give you a bogus name when you ask for it ("DISCOUNT CENTER"), and now they have their telecom provider protecting their anonymity, or, more accurately, aiding and abetting their continued efforts to violate FTC/FCC regulations.
I don't understand how the authorities either don't know, or can't do anything to stop these companies from doing what they are doing.
These people call at least 5x a day. It must be lucrative for them. Some people must fall for their scam and all other scams over the phone. I just wish there was something we could do about these annoying calls, since the Do Not Call List is a big joke.

This goes for anybody else who knows the NAME of this company. I have already filed complaints with the FTC and FCC, but have not been able to NAME THE COMPANY because they will not reveal who they are unless you give them your account info and switch over. All we can do is file complaints about telephone numbers WHICH DON'T EVEN EXIST. There's only so much the FTC and FCC can do if none of us know the identity of the companies who are doing this.

Just spike to Kimberly again at Level 3 communications, 877-371-8776. She stated that there ate two of their customers with whim these numbers are associated with. She said she sent them emails requesting my number be removed. She stated she cannot give me her customers names without a supeona, the best she can do is an email request to both. I am not home during the day and I have unplugged my home phone so I have yet to answer any of these calls. They actually started calling on July 31st and have continued daily ever since, several times a day. They leave no message and the ID comes up with the number but no IDENTIFICATION information at all. Each exchange is invalid so I cannot block them. Cannot report them as they are untraceable I am told. If I use NUMBER GURU on my phone it comes up with TELCOVE INVESTMENTS LLC, no other information is available that I can find. The only other document I can find is that this TELCOVE was sold to Level 3 Communications back in 2006.
There has to be a "link" between all of these numbers being generated and the source "SERVER" being used to generated them. I am not a "techie" but I would think that ANYTHING is traceable, it's just getting to the right people with a LOUD ENOUGH VOICE to investigate these frauds before it's too late. it just amazes me that NO ONE takes the lead until a tragedy happens and people are left in the cold with nothing or worse. I reported/complained/sent information/called carrier, BUT because these are not vaild, they claim they can't do anything and asked me to change my telephone number. If these calls continue, i will have no choice but to again change my home number.

Received two calls today from this number and have received several in the past. We are on the Do Not Call list. What good is that list if nothing is ever done to shut these people down?

Thank goodness that my Panasonic phone blocks out these calls for me. They've called a number of times but my trusty little phone takes care of it. I never answer un-recognizable numbers.

Got calls from this so called energy company scam artist . I had switched my electric over to try it .. WELL WELL >>>> Guess what... the very first bill was higher .. Yeah , They don't tell you about the 'Hidden" distribution line charge !!!!!! I switched back to my Normal electric company. Now the dam calls keeps coming in !! These a.s.s.h.o.l.es .should be shot, they invade our privacy !! What low life losers we have in the world.. You'll get yours in the end !!!!!

The majority of people google unfamiliar phone numbers/callers in search of information on the number and then they read the posts before getting into a conversation with an unknown caller.
