Uncertain if she gave her last name, or if she morphed right into the company name - which I think was ABC recovery.  She gave this number and extension 5561 for me to call back, stating that it was about a debt collection.  We recently straightened out a debt collection situation with a legitimate local company called Total Recovery Services. It was over a hospital bill that we were waiting to get and pay, but never got because they had the wrong address. Since it was never received, it wasn't payed on time - so it went to this legitimate collection agency.  We immediately paid the hospital and finally got the collection agency to clear us with a "paid in full" statement, as well as to drop the interest charges.  That was a few weeks ago. Now this lady calls today.  I do not know if it is related to my already paid hospital bill, but she did have my actual name. I'm supposed to call her back.  I suppose, since they have my actual name, I should call back, but I don't wish to be scammed either!  Sigh...

They call my cell and I just dont answer

They are calling twice a day and I don't know why.It seems that I'm not home when they call. However, it is a collecting agency from the States and I live in Ontario Canada. I try to call back but the Canadian directory does not have that number register....I wish I could get a hold of them to clarify the purpose of the call....I'm sick of getting calls from them...those idiots are probably not aware that they are calling across the border...I have no debts in the states.....go figure

This message is for Gregory A Llama, if you are not Gregory A Llama do not read the rest of this message, I will pause three seconds so that no one else can read this.  This is an attempt to collect your soul, any and all information will be used for that purpose.  Mr. A Llama do not, I repeat do not read this message in a place where anyone else can read it.  This message is being monitored and recorded for quality purposes.  Mr. A Llama call me at 800-899-8745 ext 5402.  I am with ACB Recovery, but I'm also with Plaza Recovery at 859-261-8745.  I have on my desk information that you are mistaken.  It is not ACB,  its ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ.  Didn't you learn that in preschool?  If you lost your Plaza, please call your home owner's insurance to make a claim.  I can be of no further help to you.  Please call 911 in case of emergency, or the suicide hotline.  If its any comfort, not many people lose their Plaza and if they do, it's very hard to recover.  I wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Tried to get your company to stop calling my number.  Your very ignorant staff threatened me when I would not give my name, none of your business who I am.  If your asked to remove a number and stop calling,you must do so according to Federal Law.  My next call is to the PA Attorney General's Office!

A message was left on my home phone number asking for my ex husband.  We were divorced 10 years ago.  I got this UNLISTED phone number 3 years AFTER we were divorced!  He has never, does not now, and never will live at this number.  QUIT CALLING ME!

Unknown ... left a horrible threatening message that they were going to call the local police and have me arrested for some (not told what) reason.

These people need to be jailed for what they are doing. Who do they think they are?

I found out who this is. A Mr. Brown called a bit ago and left a snotty message on my machine. I deleted the message before I wrote down his extension, but I'm thinking the CEO can find him.

Wrong number quit calling me

I accidentally erased the message left on my cell phone, but I was basically told that someone had filed a complaint against me, and that a lawsuit is imminent, blah blah. I know this is a collector, because legal matters require notification in writing, and I've received nothing. Why are they allowed to do this stuff?

there may be call centers from india but we are not located in india... we are located in the US and if u this is not fraud or a scam... most likely they are calling u for a reason... and if they are calling a wrong # all u need to do is call the number and if no one answers leave a message with the phone # they are calling and they name of the person... we will remove the #.

all u have to do is call them and tell them u do not want calls to place of employment and they cannot call anymore. until then they can call... hope this helps.

A VERY rude woman has called my cell phone on multiple occasions asking to speak with my daughter.  I have informed her I will have my 27 y/o daughter return the call to her.  She repeatedly wants "information" about my daughter, states that it is a VERY IMPORTANT BUSINESS MATTER, and if I do not provide the "information" (they are wanting to verify my daughter's home address -- I told them if they want to verify same, tell me what they are showing as her address and I will verify -- they state THEY cannot give out that information -- it is CONFIDENTIAL -- I tell they I AM NOT GIVING OUT ANYONE's home address), then it will be "on my hands" when "criminal action" is taken against my daughter, and she went further to start muttering some other threats, but I hung up on her.  They ALWAYS call my cell phone, and it shows up as UNAVAILABLE.  I hate to answer UNAVAILABLE calls, but what if it's an emergency with a family member or a grandchild.  Anyway, these people are annoying, rude and vicious.  I have asked them before not to call my cell phone, but they don't seem to get it!!!

This company calls daily and leaves a message requesting a call back to a "Mr. Williams" at a certain extension. I called back and the woman who answered was less that pleasant and would not tell me what ACB is or what they do. So, I looked them up and found that it's a collection agency. Will be sending a cease and desist tomorrow. They don't even ask for anyone when they leave the message. Annoying.

I get calls from these people constantly with only the 800-899-8745 number showing on the caller ID.  I have a rule:  If the call is UNKNOWN, UNAVAILABLE, CONFIDENTIAL, from an 800 number, or otherwise not identified on the caller ID, I don't answer it-I'll check it on the voice mail later.  I just got a call from this 800 number from a woman named Rosemary who sounded like she had a very unhappy home life who informed me that "it was in my best interest to contact her before the end of the day."  It's all over a medical bill that the insurance company has already paid but they can't get their books right and they need to fire their bookkeeper and quit calling me.

I think the practices of "Dave Miller @ 1 800 899-8745 ext 5608"  are totally unacceptable. He has been leaving threatening messages on my answering machine for a week now. He is trying to contact my daughter, and when I answered his call he was extremely rude and told me I need to get a job, when I replied I have one, he then asks me what is it, watching Jerry Springer? I find this to be insulting and an outrage that this man should have so little respect. He must be hard up for his fee. Sorry miller No Fee Today.

There should be legislation requiring these people to i.d. immediately. But, with the current government  majority composition, that will not happen.

They call and say its a personal business matter for me and its a debt collection call, its just a recording, this is scam, i am trying to find the base of this company and report them. They are fraud. I have heard that these are Centers in India who make fake calls and try to collect money by making such threatning calls. This is a big time scam going on from India. Please be aware.

They can call your job if you gave them that number as a contact. Trust me...I have about 70 debt collectors that call here every week looking for people who can't pay their damned bills.

I have spoken to my lawyer and it is now perfectly legal for them to call your place of business.

A guy named Mitch Campbell has cvalled me at my work and been very threatning about my debt to Citibank. Claims he wants to help but becomes very combative when I ask him not to call work.

Someone claiming to be Angie called using this number, but refused to say who was calling beyond " this is Angie ".  I have a medical group that claims I owe the money which I do not. My Ins has already paid the bill, to the penny, also matching 10 digit acct no., Premier Health Partners claims " it must be something else", same dollars and cents, same 10 digit acct no., I think NOT. Just a part of whats wrong with health care in the USA. ( double, and even triple, billing )
