I talked to this woman off of a dating site.Says her name is Gloria.
She hasn't asked me for anything yet,but just knew this phone number didnt look just right.Says she lives in Colorado.

Look out for a Women calling herself Britt Brown or Brittney Brownson she is a scammer and used this number to contact me .  What ever u do don't send her money   She says she is from Ireland and lives in California and has a daughter named Annabella.  She says now she is in Petoria S Africa and needs money to come home .  

meet this person on date!, said she was from elgin, gpot to talking with her on text and asked where she was and she said lives in Elgin but am in Nigeria visiting late fathers attorney.I thought I had hit a red light district. Talked for about 2 more sentences and haven't heard from her sense. Went by the name COLBYANN48@yahoo.com. Careful the vulters are out and about.

Person online calls himself Daniel pace calls from South Africa, stating he needs money because he was robbed and his daughter needs $1000 for a surgery.  Today, he says the $300 I told him I had would be ok for her meds!!  Refuses to give any identifying information.  

I have been getting the same messages from this person too, stating the same thing along with "Hello Baby", or he might say "Can We Talk". I agree with you, I have no plans on responding to this person and will continue to delete all his messages. I do think he is from a yahoo account.

This person texts me once a month but sends me 2 texts at a time right after each other, claims to be "Daves Edwards". I don't respond to this person and plan on not responding to whoever it is. This text states, "Happy New Year and Love You Baby". the funny thing is USA New Year is over about 2 weeks now, so this text is late by a long shot. Will delete all these texts from this number 111-044-0603 furthermore I will continue not to answer the text. I do think its a yahoo think also.

You did the right thing - any time you are emailing someone new, and they claim to love you (after a few days, no less!), then ask you for money or a cell phone - DON'T DO IT!  They're scammers!

Before you go blowing up at your boyfriend, why don't you read all the stories on this thread?  Lots of people get these spam texts - there's not anyway to stop them, because they're sent by scammers who keep changing their phone numbers.

I have received emails from a man that claims he is in the military and is stationed in Afghanistan.  He told me he is madly in love with me after a few days and even told him that a few people on match tried to scam me for money, he claimed he was not that way.  Emails continued; now he is wanting me to get him a cell phone so he can talk to me becasuse he is going on a mission and wont be able to use his computer.  

I told him I didn't have the money, he want ed me to do it by contract.  I told him I would not then he tried to have me send money to his friend supposedly works for Red Cross in order to get the phone quicker to him.  He asked for $600 originally told him I did not have it, then went all the way down to $200 still told him I dont have it...  And have not heard from him at all.

Olaoye Femi Kenneth using fake profiles on Dating Websites such as "Jenny Taylor" asking for money for to be sent via Western Union.  He pretending to be a woman from Pretoria South Africa who was originally from another country working as an Event Planner who $1700 to meet requirement for Customs in order to travel to Australia.

This was on the Australian dating website "No Strings."

Check out my pics: http://tinyurl.com/cveq5of sorry i couldnt txt them :(" and when i logged onto the URL it was a website called fling.com. i am very very angry and i need to know whats going on before i really blow up on him....

These people are dangerous. They got my number through match.com. They pretended to be  my soul mate and then asked for money. They keep calling. The number is out of Ghana I think.

This person texted Me from this number with supposed to be a Bird Shipped to My Cousin and they had her send 270.00 USD for shipping was supposed to have been shipped form Mesa Arizona.There is no bird nor is there 270.00 USD back to My Cousin.

This is the number that is used for any yahoo texters. Its not just one person

Yes it is a scam number. They started working me through Mate1 dating service and yes through yahoo messenger. What with the totally inappropriate love messages to me from someone who has never seen me or know me,, beautiful Hallmark moments ,,yOU KNOW THE OLD ADAGE ABOUT IF IT LOOKS LIKE A DUCK AND QUACKS LIKE A DUCK IT PROBABLY IS A DUCK,, well I felt right away it was from out of the country and most likely Nigeria because they are famous for this kind of scam. Oh yeah ..lots of beautiful women with wealth clamoring to date me, no marry me without having seen me but two short messages on the email and they are hooked, "Quack quack !" yeah the women were all 29 32 33 32 and I am 64  ....really?

Got the same thing.  She's going to send me a M.O. for $520.00 up front.  Hired me after one e-mail.  Said she was a financial planner and it was obvious she wasn't because there were so many typos it was laughable.  I make a living on Craigslist and eBay and I see this cr*p all the time.

I have been talking to someone to by the name brook peace  for 2 weeks now she to sent me 3 pics of her supposedly, She orginally  said was  born in Manchester London and spend most of my life in Winder, GA where i had my degree in accounting but presently in West African country Nigeria to get her fathers the gold  mining company in Africa was willed to me and the woman did not believe i would be able to run the company because dad didn't leave the papers to anyone... But all because he trusted me and loved me he gave me a contact in Africa where he had a house  there which was not known to anyone but me and he told me about the Lawyer in charge of the mining company, so i and mom decided to come to Africa to start a new life with what we had with us then since everyone turn us down in the state.And she in a hotel now she  sleeping at a church here since the hotel manager send me out of the hotel due to the bills.she says she need 150 to get to the lawyer. this sound like your girl.

The exact same thing has been happening to me since August 30... I'm so creeped out!

Someone under this number keeps texting me and harassing me. His username is lady.lover85. It has been going on for a few weeks now.
He is acting sexual and creeping me out. I'm guessing he is texting me off an iPod or something but I need it to stop. What should I do!

Anything from that number is a scam.  A friend of mine was on some dating service and was contacted by a young woman from Nigeria who claimed that her her father was in business in California.  She claimed that her parents were both killed by a drunk driver in 1999.  The person who alleges to be her parents' attorney (who is also alleged to be involved in the administration her father's estate) has also contacted my friend.  The woman--an only child--states that her father's siblings would like to see her dead so as they become the heirs to her father's estate.  My friend was told that in order for this woman to attend college in the U.S., she needed money for tuition.  The 'lawyer' was to deposit five thousand dollars in a checking account from which my friend was to withdraw most of the funds to send to her.  He would be allowed to keep a modest amount for his troubles.

I recall a recent case in Kentucky where another man did exactly that.  He is presently awaiting trial for cashing almost ten thousand dollars worth of worthless checks.  These people are pro's.  They clock the dating sites.  They screen prospective victims by watching the speed at which they type, weather or not they capitalize the first word of a sentence, correctly use punctuation, spell words correctly.  They watch  context and grammar.  They profile.  If you're not too smart (kinda like my friend) you might bite.

One other thing.  If memory serves me correctly, the estate of Howard Hughes took only months in probate.   I don't know of any estate that has taken thirteen years to settle.

Beware.  They will size you up and bring you down.  There are a number of scams going on at the same time.  They profile you and hit you with what ever scam they think will work on you.  If anyone receives contact from these people, flood your nearest FBI field office with phone calls.  Do not erase their texts.  The more evidence you can provide, the easier it is to prosecute.  Good luck!
