Called NYC 911 to report a street fight. Ten minutes later received a call from 1-111-222-3333, sure enough: NY Police Department for details like location.

This was a real call. I called 911. And they called me back with this # 111 222-3333. The first time I didn't pick up but checked it on the web. When I saw some people were saying the police, I picked up the second time, and I told her let me look out the window. And there they were. For real. This happened in NYC.

I received a call at 2:04 pm, again at 2:30 pm and again at 2:31 pm on 5/16/14  from this phone number.  I suspect from checking the internet that this is being run by either scammers or telemarketers.  Please look into this and contact me at [removed]  Thank you

My house got a call from this number twice today at 6am. And my mother was the one who picked up the phone, and she is already not a healthy person, so the moment whoever was talking at the time was, she believed everything they said and actually went downstairs to go see the police, who never showed up.

She went bat-sh*t crazy after that and thought i had left the house and got on a plane to California. And then thought rest of my siblings were kidnapped too.

Whoever is responsible for this sick joke needs seriously stop this nonsense.

I got 4 calls from this number just now and they said nyc police dept. &that I called them numerous times.
I never called them in my life then the caller said the police were at my home come outside then asked for my address what the heck

I just received a call from this ridiculous number.  I didn't answer and no message was left.  Do they really expect most people to answer a call from a number like that??

I believe this is from NYPD. I  was in a car accident and waited more than  1 1/2 hrs for them and they never showed. Them 2 1/2 hrs later this number came up so I think it was them trying to reach me but they left no message.

I placed a 911 call in NYC about possible criminal activity on the street and told them I did not want to leave my name or number but with "enhanced 911" they get your number and location anyway. I went out but about 20 minutes later while the police were here a call was received at my home with the number 111-222-3333 as well as from another number that could have been a police exchange. I believe the 111-222-3333 call was from the police looking for additional information.

By the way, anytime you call an 800 number or any toll free number they get your number even if you have your number blocked. That's why when you call to activate a new credit card you must call from your home phone. One more way of verifying it's the account holder calling.

Yes, I just got a strange call from this number too and I would like to know who it is calling at 8:30 night at my home. I wish we could block these numbers from our phones!

NYPD

I got a call at 11pm from the 1112223333 and there was no one on the other end. Then they called back and it ended up being emergency respondents. I made a police report earlier that day, but police never showed up and this was a follow up call. As you can see from the posts, some are legitimate calls, while many are spammers.

That was not the police. I just have a feeling. I just received it as well and didn't answer. We'll see in a few minutes if there's a voice mail left.

Ireceived a call from this number after I let someone use my phone to call 911.  I dialed it.  I got the creepy call after forty minutes or so.  I didn't pick up. I reported this to my cell phone carrier, then there was something about upgrading with my voicemail.  It turned out it was my carrier. My conspiracy theory was shot to hell.

I keep getting unwanted fax calls to my cell phone. I've already listed my number with the FCC to be on the no call list. Like other posters, I tried to call them and leave a message to get the calls stopped - but their voice mailbox is full.

This is not anyone's specific number it is the displayed result on caller ID from a scrambled number. It is also what shows up if you get a legitimate call from an NYPD dispatcher.

high possibil police call back line..as early this morn. someone left a bag
leather with jeans etc..This was a huge full work bag..
It appeared ..that it  inadvert left by mistake..or was possibly stolen from someone
I called 911 ..3 times ..but late for work after 40 mintues I had to leave.and.the bag was still

My other concern was that someone was in the bushes ..and was using this bag
to change clothes..(no one in bushes as the owner of that house did come out)

This number called me saying it was the cops. They said i called them. but why do other people say thats its a telemarketing scheme?

Yeah, these mf's just called my phone. I googled it. Found this site, and while I was reading, they called again! Didn't answer.

A**les called me and said that I called them requesting for the Police to come over, while verifying my address and phone number. I asked when the call was made, she replied over 3 hours ago.....  If I did, they sure took their sweet a$$ time getting back to me... If you see this number on your caller ID, tell them your are the NYPD and see if they hang up on you.... LOL

Just got a call from this number, but it wasn't for telemarketing, it was from the NYPD...? The woman said I called for a police, which I had not and I don't live in NY either, lol. Just weird.

Got a call at 2am in the morning and I didn't pick it up. I mean come on   111-222-3333? Not me......
