I keep getting these calls from strange four digit numbers e.g. 1211.  But they never ever say anything.  Its annoying.

This number is Legal and General.  After numerous silent calls previously, the last one today connected with the caller

Recieved a call from the female with strong Hipanic or Asian accent. She told me I would receive $10,000 government grant because I was outstanding citizen with no criminal record, and paied my tax on time. When I asked about more detail, she kept repeating same thing over and over as if she was just reading off the script. The sound of call was weak as if it was from overseas. She hung up on me when I asked her name.
I saw 121-212-1212 phone number is also used for bunch of different annoying calls. It just puzzles me and make me nervous.

Got that call today (7-30-10).  Some guy with a very thick accent said the same thing -- $10,000 government grant.  I haven't applied for anything of the sort.  I said as much and to please take me off their calling list and he backed off right away.  What a pain.  I had two missed calls earlier today from the same number.

Somebody called me from that number today I listened to her for a few minutes then hung up got to be a scam

Received a call from this number today, individual had a foreign (not American English) accent/dialect.  Individual had my first and last name, and then indicated that was the recipient of a $ 10,000.00 grant. Indicated no interest, since this is most likely a fraudulent pursuit.
