somebody is calling me from this number but they aren't identifying themselves. I wonder where they're calling from & why they would choose not to reveal themselves?

The origin most likely is that it is a spoofed telephone number, meaning that someone is using a computer or a VOIP system to falsify their caller id information. You will probably not be able to find out much about this number. Also note that it has an invalid area code, further indicating spoofing.
