I recieved a call from this number today from a Sean Lewis saying that he was from Law firm did not say from what law firm and that I needed to call back and speak with Daniel Bush because he would not be able to hold my case for to much longer. I called the number back and at first it rang back disconnected and the second time it was busy and the third time it was busy. If you are a true law firm you would have a recording and you would have to hold for a representative. The same people called me a couple of weeks ago from different number with the same crap. I do not know who these people are and what they want, well I know what they want. I just want them to stop calling me. Can some please give me some insight as to what I can do?

Got a call from this company allmost everyday saying to call them that they are a law firm caling from this cell phone number that isn't too clear.  Indian voice, says her name is Patricia White and that I need to call with an attorney or show up for court or I'll be sorry.  When I called back, they said they are attorneys representing a company Payday National.  Now I have gotten loans in the past and paid them off.  I looked this up and found of a similar situation a month ago at this time with a different number.  I want to know, how do I get these people to stop calling me at work or at home on my cell.  I know this is a scam.  No attorney is going to call me on a national holliday of Memorial Day

People on this post, THIS IS A SCAM...These people cannot do anything to you but call you.  Ignore them, tell them you know its a scam, and when they figure out they can't scare you then they will move on and find another target.  Stay calm when you talk to them and tell them that come HELL OR HIGHWATER you will Never send them one red cent, then tell them you are reporting them to the US Secret Service and the FBI.

I have encountered the same crap as the other post.  From the very first call I knew it was a scam.  The guy gave me his badge number and called himself Officer John Conner.  They are terrorist set up in India, trying to scam US citizens so they can gather enough money to do another 911. Everyone beware of these dogs.  Report them so INTERPOL can shut them down.  Don't even talk to them, you may notice they don't use 1-888 or 1-800 numbers.  So the dime is on them.  Punks, I wish they would come knocking at my door.

I got a call from a guy calling himself Officer Steven Smith, he told me I needed to call him back or have my attorney call him back.  I thought it was just a prank and ignored the calls.  I got about 7 in a row. I called him and he went on with some bullcrap about I owed US National Bank 500.00. I knew I did not so I told him he was a lier and hung up.  Then he calls again and my daughter answers the phone and he tells her that I'm going to be arrested and we are in danger.  It took a lot of convincing for me to get my child to believe this was a scam.  The law was suppose to come pick me up he said in two days, Its been 60 and I'm still waiting for the law.  I dare he scare my child like this, he can kiss my double cheeks but when you mess with my child you have to pay.  He will pay, sooner or later, he will get whats due him.
EVERYONE BEWARE, DON'T SEND THIS DEVILS ANY MONEY.  TELL THEM TO SHOVE IT!.  Report them to the Police, FTC, BBB, Secret Service and your state's attorney general

I got a call from an unknown number, and told that the internet payday loan company was threatening to sue me because I hadn't paid back my loan. The funny thing is that I never actually took out a loan from them (I was actually rejected). They asked me if I wanted to fight the affidavit legally or if I wanted to settle out of court. I told them that I wanted to talk to a lawyer first. They asked me again if I wanted to fight or settle, and I repeated that I wanted to talk to a lawyer first and follow his advice.

The "officer" said his name was Kenny Spencer, and he had a thick, Indian accent. Sounded like he was following a script. He said that I had one hour to call him back at 562-286-5777.

NOTE: When someone sues you, shouldn't you receive official legal mail from a district or magisterial court of some sort? I'm not a lawyer, but that would make much more sense.

"This message is intended for Chad Bickel. Chad, the very second you receive this message, I need you to call your Attorney." Felicia Vorg is her name (supposedly).
"Don't disregard this message. Return the call. Now Chad, if you don't return the call and I don't hear from you either, all I can say is good luck and goodbye.  The situation unfolds on you."

I received this on my work phone while i was on the line with a customer on May 26, May 27 and May 28

I have received a phone calls at work and home from this number starting on June 1st.  I have asked them to remove me from their calling list and that I have reported them to the FTC (they asked what that was) and they hung up but the next day I got the calls again.  I am not sure when they get the hint that I am on to their game and am not going to pay them a cent.

I have been getting calls from the 201-234-4071. I ignored them, then I got ticked. I reporte them to every government agency I could think of. If they call again, I have a small voice activated digital recorder and I will record their conversations. I saw the house listed on Hoffman Lane in California. The vice squad may show up there. Ignore them, they can do nothing. Just consider it your laugh of the day.

Has anyone actually had a conversation with these people?  Everytime I return the call, I get a busy signal.  I started getting calls yesterday (6/1/09).  They asked for me, left a message then called right back and asked for someone else.  This was on my cell phone.  Same messages as the ones listed here.  It's obvious they're reading a script because the call I got today, said "This message is for priority mail..." then repeated it and used my name.  I did have a payday loan over a year ago using my work and cell as my contact numbers.  I get a call on my cell & work phones.

Got a call from a guy named Jim something.  Told him to give me a number and I would call back.  He gave me 201-234-4071.  Looked it up and apparently I am not alone.  He said I had a complaint against me, but I didn't listen long enough to hear any more.

Someone named 'Anthony, Anthony Foster' with an
Indian accent called saying that I, or my attorney on record should call the second I received this message.  This matter was extremely time sensitive, and if I didn't contact him right away, then all he could wish me was good luck with my 'case'.

I tried to call the number to find out who the f... this idiot was, and the number is no longer in service????

I have recieved these same calls starting today, from 201-234-4071. My concern is that they had my bank information as well as information on friends of mine...has anyone else had these reports from the caller? They threatened to contact my employeer and tell them what is happening. The also had my work phone number and were calling me there as well. I was told that the "authorities" would be arriving at my work to "drag me to the court house"...scary!

I am so thankful that I decided to google this number and that I came across this forum. I also started receiving these calls yesterday from a 201-234-4071. The only exception was that it was a woman named "Marina", which I find extremely strange seeing as she had a clear indian accent and that sounds like a hispanic name. The names that you guys speak about are all american names. So anyway, she called me yesterday May 26, 2009 like @ 6pm and so I picked up the phone and TRIED to understand her as there was a massive amount of background noise and her accent didn't help. When she started to tell me that she was from a law firm supposedly representing a Pay day Loan company, I asked her "what are you talking about"? and she immediately told me "please don't curse because this call is being recorded". I was confused because I didn't realize that what I said was cursing. I have previously requested payday loans and I have successfully paid them all off so I KNOW that I don't owe anyone any money. At first I was a bit scared because I thought this was real, but I started thinking that if it were a real attorney and a there was a real claim against me, a notarized letter would have come to my house by US mail with a docket and claim number as well as other legalities from a Civil Court. Its plain to see that these people are scammers, it's very clear. I have just received 2 more calls about 1/2 an hour ago, so I decided to check them out online and I am glad that I did. Also, I tried calling them back by blocking my number and they never picked up. So please, DO NOT fall for this and DO NOT give them any personal information. Just ignore them and if anything, do file a claim against them.

Today I received a call from this number. Her name was Anna Taylor and she stated that she was calling  from National Payday. I have had a on line payday loan in the past that was paid infull.  I could not understand her. She had a stong middle eatern accent. The back ground noise was intense.  She stated that it was because of a retirement party. She also told me that I needed to contact an attonrney.  The address they gave me was 1432 Hoffman lane Campbell Ca.  However, the call came from N.Y. I did contact an attonery.  The MO state Attonnery gernals office.  I filed a complaint with the office.  PLEASE NO DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM.  In todays's ecomany we have all had to resort to extrems.  THIS IS A SCAM. The attornery gernals office told me that unless this is on your credit report this is NOT A DEBT THAT YOU OWE! PLEASE. If anyone receives a call fromthis number file a complaint with your state attonery gernerals office.  I found them very helpful

I received the same call yesterday (Memorial Day) however his name was "Sean Lewis" and had a very thick Indian accent. He said he was calling me from "National Payday". I did have an account with this company several years ago and I still have proof that it was paid off.
I do know this is a SCAM and I told him that I was recording the call and he said he was too. I was told that if I didn’t pay them I would be arrested today. Last week he called and told me I owe $600, yesterday he tells me I owe $1095.87. What a JERK!! He can't remember his own lies!! I proceeded to ask where to "send" the money and he gave me the address of 1432 Hoffman Lane, Campbell California. Hope he's holding his breath!!!!
If they call again I will contact the FTC, and Attorney General.

I received 2 messages and 1 actual call from Patricia White.  Both messages were exactly the same, like she is reading (yelling - because she sounds like she is calling from a call center) a script.  In the end she wishes me and my children good luck.  The funny thing is she called my work and my home phone.  The home phone is only used for in-coming calls and I never use it.  When I answered the home yesterday (Memorial Day) she said she needed to reach Lisa because someone was using her identity online.  It's funny I think this is the same company that called a few months ago that asked me if I wanted a better rate on my payday loans.  I don't have any payday loans and have not taken any out in over 3 years..  Odd!

My husband received a call months ago on his cell phone from these people and when I had my attorney call they stopped calling.  Well on Memorial Day I received a call on my cell phone and on my work phone.  I have not yet spoke with them but a Steve Williams with a strong Indian accent leaves a message.  He says at the end that "he wishes me luck with any situation that is imposed on me".  I have call my attorney and told him to do whatever he feels necessary to get these people to stop calling.  I do not have any loans that have not been paid.  If they were real attorney's that were suing me, I would have received a notarized letter stating that.  I hat scams

I have had multiple calls from Bob Austin, Joey Maxwell, Scott Harris, and most recently Michael Harris( all with Indian accents).  These people have been calling several times a day harrssing me at work and on my cell phone. There have been several numbers they have been calling from such as 201-234-4071 and 646-918-5060. When I first received the call I was really worried because they were threatening me by saying they were going to have the sheriff come pick me up at work and I needed to get an attorney. They had called several of my friends threatening them, as well.  When I figured out it was a scam I got really angry that these foriegners were scamming Americans, so I called them back.  I expressed my anger to who ever answered the phone and he got angry with me and said, "you Americans are so F--king stupid" and then called me a "grocery bagger" then hung up on me. I am not sure where he came up with the "grocery bagger" remark. Anyways, they quit for about a 2 months now and just last week I have started receiving calls from a Michael Harris @ the 201-234-4071. He was been leaving me messages on my cell phone and at work saying I need to call him back or my attorney as soon as I get his message and if I don't good luck.  I have not called him but he continuosly calls me every day.  I am hoping they will just leave me alone because apparently the only thing that can be done at this point is to just ignore them.
