First call they hang up, second call it goes to answer machine and they hang up again without leaving a message.

Multiple calls in a day, week, month, hangs uu.  Very annoying.

Since I reported them on Friday I have not received any more calls.  It is certainly worth your 5 minutes to contact the Do Not Call Registry.
The 6 months grace is only from fines not from call restriction.

I have worked in telecommunications for a decade. I think your only hope is to change your phone number. Hopefully you used a cell phone rather than a land line which will be easier to switch.

The "Do Not Call" registry gives a 6 month grace period to telemarketers before they apply a financial penalty. Also if the company can prove you have "preexisting business relationship" then the are exempt. In the case of the Google scam, willingly giving them your number would qualify as a "preexisting business relationship".

I have tried 4 times to have my number removed from their list, they keep calling back. No one takes my call when I try to call back to speak to someone.

I did the same thing, and I was super worried, too. I paid the $1.95, but I just canceled the card that I signed up with, and my account hasn't been charged. I haven't received the package, received an email, or anything from them, but I am still getting phone calls. If I were you, I would make sure to cancel my cards and order new ones. It's the only way I've been able to get peace of mind about the whole thing. Good luck.

I reported them to the National Do Not Call Registry as all my numbers are listed there.  I spoke to the phone company about blocking them but that would cost me $3.50 per month.

I kept having missed calls from the number and i called back and pressed 2 for do not call and they called me right back and i answered. For a few seconds nothing happened but i waited and this woman answers saying i was interested in the Google make money from home stuff and I asked her to take me off the list and she said she did... We'll see.  It sounded like a busy place inside there...

I have been experiencing the same problem. They have been calling numerous times for the past two days. I answer and no one is there. You need to call your service provider, they can block the number from calling you.

They started out calling from 201-355-2469 I was Able to block that number.
However now they are calling using a different area code 491-355-2469 and my call block will not block it.

It's a phone number from a fake google scam. A women called on 8/25 my husband answered and no one responded. They called again on 8/26, and I decided to answer the women tried to explain how I could make tons of money working part time. She wanted my bank account number. I told her she was out of her mind and I ended up hanging up on her.

Oh Jeez, what a nick..but I also aplied for the posting links job or checked it out and filled out the information till I saw the window to enter credit card information.

I have 30 calls from these jerks.  I'm taking a friends advice and going onto the federal trade commission to file a report.  I hope this helps.

I did the same as you Mike, filled out some information on a site then when I saw the credit card I opted out too.  But, I thought I was receiving these calls before I entered the information on the web-site.
So many scams out there..now.

You can also block calls on ATT U-Verse by logging onto their site and entering their number.

I called and opted out too.  But they still call.

I answer, no one there. When I call the number a recording tells me I've reached customer service.

Yeah, these jerks are total losers! They need to get a life! They've called my cell phone at least 25 times today, starting at 8:30 a.m. Also filled out info on the Google Ad, but did not give credit card info. Why? Hello, if you look at that ad, there is no mention of what the charges are! That would be like signing a blank check for them! I say we all need to e-mail the Attorney General of New Jersey and try to have creeps like this put out of business!

Called me 25 times yesterday, Auguat 24, 2009 between 8:42am and 8:45pm.  Went home for lunch today, August 25, and there was 9 calls.  I had pushed 2 to be on the no call list, but they called within a few minutes. I was researching the Google, Work at home scam.  And did not finish the registration, but I must have entered my home phone number before I closed out.

HEY ANNE, {AND EVERYONE ELSE}......I CANT BELIEVE THE RESULTS WHEN I GOOGLED THIS NUMBER TO REVERSE SEARCH!!!!!  I CAN'T BELIEVE IT IS HAPPENING TO SO MANY PEOPLE!!!! YESTERDAY & TODAY {{AUGUST 24-25}} THIS # HAS CALLED ME AROUND 40 TIMES!!! HOWEVER, I DO NOT ANSWER NUMBERS I DON'T RECOGNIZE......SO I HAVE NOT PICKED UP ONCE!!!!
