Same here. I never return calls from unknown numbers that don't leave msgs. If it's legit, they'll leave a msg.

Scam! Worked for A magazine company in UnionCity that would call every number in a exchange till person gave name.FTC shut us down

I answered the call which came to my cell. Automated message which said to call a number I hung up before getting a call back number''' its a scam.

Myself, I say no. I think you handled the call well. You gave out no personal, or financial information. As you see, they call but have no idea who they're talking to - unless you tell them, of course. Phishing scam, (not so) pure & simple.

I answered and pressed 1, I spoke to a lady and when I asked "who are you calling?" she said "the primary holder of the card" when I said "what is the name (MY NAME)?" she hung up on me!! Do I have to worry??

Received a call from this number, caller ID said New Jersey, so I ignored it. The voicemail was a generic message about lowering interest rates on an unnamed credit card. Funny, since I have no credit cards or charge accounts. This is definitely a phishing scam that somehow eludes the DNC rules.

just received a call from this number I picked it up and recorded voice was saying no problem with my credit card but never said which card and to press one, sounds like junk to me, so I hung up without pressing anything.

Calls and wants to help lower credit card rates.  Do not be fooled!

I received the same call around the same time and I did answer it. It was an automated call and "STAPLES" appeared on my caller ID. The message reported an alleged problem with my staples charge account and wanted me to press 1 to speak with a rep or press 2 to end the call. I pressed 2 b/c I do not have a Staples charge account. I'LL BE CHECKING THE 3 CREDIT REPORTING AGENCIES TO MAKE SURE SOMEONE DIDN'T OPEN ONE IN MY NAME.

I got this number calling me;  I didn't have my phone on me, and when I tried calling it back (thinking it was a recruiter) it immediately hung up on me.

I also received a call from this number, I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the #.   There was no message left

Just received a call from this #. It said Staples Inc. on caller I D. Didn't answer and they did not leave a message.

I just got a call from this number.  Recorded message said no problem with my account but time was expiring on ability to lower interest rate.  I needed to press another key to be connected to an operator. I did not do that.  Sounds like a phishing attempt to get credit card info.  

Number is registered to Staples, inc.

Answered the call and it was a recorded voice offering to lower the APR on my credit card. They did not say for which bank so I'm assuming it was a telemarketing scheme.

I just received the same thing but I didn't answer either.

Received call from this unrecognized number.  I didn't answer.  They didn't leave a message.  Given the number of spam calls I've gotten I believe this number to be yet another.  No caller id info -- received on my cell phone.
