I missed the call on my cell phone, and when I tried to call back, I get a message "Your call did not go through, please try again, 0-3-0-2" then it goes to busy signal.  This is the 2nd call I've had from them, but the first time, they hung up when I answered.

I have also been getting these calls on my cell phone. Its getting ridiculous. When I try to call back I get the same recording"your call did not go thru" I just wont answer it next time they call.

COLLECTION AGENTS! Women & men have called from this number, asking for someone while pretending to be a friend of the person they asked for. They've never left a message and always say they will just call back if we had no other number for them to call and could not tell them when the person would be available at our number, etc.

I got a call around two weeks ago and when I answered they just hung up. They called today and my dad said it was some woman asking if I was available and when he told her I wasn't home she hung up on him. I try to call back and it doesn't work. The message I hear when I call the number says that the number is not in service. It's a Nextel phone number from Hackensack, NJ.

Guy called my cellphone and acted like he had the wrong number. After reading all this, he obviously was confirming something from a collection agency.

I have called the phone company about this before there is nothing they can do. There is such a huge network with so many different masks out there. I get the calls on my house phone. This is a huge scam and the phone calls are simular in that they want to ask you for private info tell you they are collecting or protecting credit cards, and to verify yourself and in return they opt out of giving you their information. I never talk to anyone I do not know and surely never tell people anything personal about myself. When you get a strange call just hang up! I ask sometimes who they are but never tell them who I am. They have peoples names most of the time and that is scary. I never sign up for any prizes or put my info out on the net for example those advertisments that say you will get a prize if you fill out the terms of several offers Silver gold platinum offers for credit cards ETC.. all the while you are surfing window to window of questions that you put a check mark next to intrests. each time you click you keep giving info and the pages go forever you are sining up to random places the longer you click on pages and each has a huge list they sell and so on.. that could be how some get your info. just be carefull it is a huge problem for people all across the USA. Changing your phone number does not help since they seem to have them all and will call you still. someone inside the phone company must have sold a list because most people say the callers know their name. I am unlisted and have been for a very long time yet they have my name? I do get legetimate reminder calls from billers but that is life. I own no credit cards so I am not sure why they bother me. be careful and hang up! make sure they are totaly off the line before making a call as they hang out on lines hoping to have 3 way calling ease dropping.

Just got my first call from them today. I did not answer as I don't answer numbers I do not know. Seems that I'm starting to get calls from numbers like these now for some reason.  Will they ever get a life?

Called me at work. I didn't know the number so I didn't answer.  Didn't leave a message.

Keep calling me. AM Collection. I pick up no sound, no voice. Calls in the afternoon. Ridiculous.

We have gotten several calls from this number.  They never leave a message, so I don't know who they want to speak with.  When I call back, I get recording "your call cannot be completed as dialed".  If this is indead ARS (a collection agency)............I get a lot of calls from them too from different numbers.  We have had our phone number for many years, so don't know how they got it.  Our assets are in the millions, so I kind of doubt that a collection agency would be after us.......

If this is a collection agency, they should do more diligent skip tracing to get the right phone number for whoever they are looking for.  Quit bothering us.

Called asking for "Linda" and when I asked who was calling the woman on the other end of the line immediately asked me whether I was "Linda's husband." I played along and said yes. She then told me Linda had a huge uncollected balance with Capital One. I asked her whether she had contacted Linda's attorney and again, without answering my question, she asked if Linda had filed for bankruptcy. I asked her to please refer any questions she had either to Linda's attorney or send her request in writing to Linda's legal address. I told her I considered her call harassing and would not provide any further information - she interupted me and asked if I would listen to her - I responded "No" and hung up.

Each time I answer someone states that I have an account in collections, but will provide me with no active information on the account or even send paperwork via mail - however they state they have ALL of my information.

just got a call from these maggots too. 201-522-3991, caller id just says HACKENSACK NJ. i read the above comments and don't know why they're calling me, I don't own not one single credit card, and haven't in 15 years, and I know the 2 that we had way back then had zero balances, and that's when I closed them out. too easy to get out of control!! I think i'll mess with their heads when they do call back, it'll be cheap, easy fun entertainment.

Recieved call on my cell phone from this number.  Wanted to speak to me but when I asked who they were they would not answer that question.  They asked for my spouse since I was unavailable.  I told them he was not available and they said they would call back and hung up.  I tried to call back later and it is a number that isn't able to be called back.  Constant busy signal.  I too have no debt with citibank so this is annoying.

Just so you know, technically if you are not on your wife's account it is illegal for them to tell you ANYTHING about the account!  No matter how small, and they should have had you verify who you were first.  If they told you anything they broke the law!!!  I would report them!

Just received a phone call from these people.  I am not answering or calling back because of the above comments.  They did not leave a message. I have notice this number on my caller ID before. Have no idea how they got my cell phone number.

Calls and leaves no message

I get these calls all the time and just don't pick them up.  They call with a variety of different numbers.  This is an outsourced company (to India) that tries to collect money from people on unpaid debt.  I heard they are very rude, very stupid, and don't answer questions, just say you owe money.  I don't understand how they got my cell phone number but I'm thinking the last person who had my number (5 years ago) didn't pay his bills.

They called me today but I didn't pick up. Reading the posts on this site an others show that these perpetrating individuals need just a little more info on people to destroy there life. There is a system that phone companies use its called CALL TRACE. Call your phone company an find out how to use yours, when they call the phone company traces the call for you and when enough calls come in from that number get this..... they contact the police an give them all the info on these people. The one thing they can't do is mess with the phone company who gave them those numbers that they abuse.

They called me and I didn't answer; I called back and it would not go through.   I have been getting a lot of these lately from different phone numbers: (510) 774-2352, (404) 397-6678 among others. I think it is very shady, don't believe them, I have NOTHING in collections.  I am about to change my number for real.

They keep calling for someone not even at my home.  They never leave a message.  I tried calling them back, but their phone is always busy.  They are calling four or five times a week now.  If you all say it is a collection agency for CitiBank.  Wow, I don't even have a credit card.  Wonder why they are calling me?  Idiots.

Last week they called wanting James (will with hold his last name) , I played along since they keep calling -- they dished out all thsi personal info. on this dude - I have 4 James **********  in the phone book - I am writing letters to each with the last 4 s.s.n. they gave and tehn will testify if he shall sue their a***s for non privacy crap  - BTW  I have had this cell for like 5 years and just started getting calls like 3 months ago.  How they got my name mixed with this guy - who the F knows.

no message just constant phone calls. i do not answer calls that i do not recognize.

I just started getting calls from this company about a week ago, but they haven't left any messages.  Unfortunately, my old roommate from 5 years ago really didn't pay her bills, so they might be after her.  I have been harassed pretty much continuously  by collection companies since that roommate left.

Calling 3-4 times a week--sometimes getting a recording with a number to return a call and sometimes no one is on the other end--There JERKS, they should all be locked up in a Turkey prison

Dicks keep calling no answer and all the same as above mentioned. I have nothing in collection except maybe their bodies if i ever meet them in person.

Calling several times per day.  No answer if I pick up, "Your call did not go through/Please try your call again" nonsense.
