I keep getting a call from this number.  They never leave a message.  Who are they?

Get several calls from this number (an all thier alias numbers as well), Some say BCR, Washington DC, and now this mornings caller ID showed up as WEEHAWKEN. Have the same issues as everyone else, no messages, no answer from a person upon pickup.

Next time they call ask to speak with a supervisor.  They will fix the problem, more likely than a peon.  If you continue to have problems, contact the Minnesota Attorney General's office.

They called three times in the past week for someone who has never had my phone number but for whom I have gotten wrong number phone calls before. I told them that the person had never had my number and to remove the number. I called the number back and demanded to talk to a supervisor.  Found out that they had NEVER removed the number until this evening, and made sure it was removed.  Asked that the previous 2 callers be disciplined and was assured they would be.  Fat Chance.

These people use several different numbers.  I blocked 202-607-2749 on my cell phone so they started resorting to using different numbers.  Other numbers have been 202-607-2806, 202-607-2748 and 202-607-2746.  Like clockwork, I can expect to get 2 to 4 calls from these people a day, without fail.  Now, I just open my flip phone, and close it, thus making the connection, but hanging up on them.  It hasn't stopped the calls but it makes me feel better.

What organization can you report this problem to?

They call daily from two different numbers, never leave a message. I called them back right after they had called to see who they were and what they wanted. The lady wanted to know my phone number, i told her she should know it because someone from that number had just called it. Very rude people.

These people are unreal!  They call from 201-537-4646 and 760-561-5214. Call 4-5 times a day. I made the mistake of answering the phone and the dude was so rude I was stunned!  I hope someone gets them to stop calling because this is crazy!

I get a call from them everyday, like 20 times a day.
the information they gave me was over a credit card from back in a state i never been to. they keep saying they have been sending me information in the mail. i still have yet to get anything. they also stated to that the CC place hasent gotten a payment from since 2001, and i ask them what the debt on the card was they said the balance was 1200, but then i asked them what the percent rate of the card, he stated 6%... in 8 years with no payment it only gained $200, that is crazy. i also think this is a scam, where i'm in the military, i'm going to report them...

Calls from numbers also registered, Washington D.C, they are a collection agency.   I have asked them no less than 10 times to put there request in writing instead of calling,  they tell me this will not ever happen.  So, I told them if they could not put it in writing, then the phone calls needed to stop.  They are very abusive when they do speak to you.  Most of the time they simply hang up when you answer the phone.  They have been calling us for about 6 months up to 25 times daily.

yup got a call from them this morning at 7am, asked for my dad's name, i said that i was him, and then they proceeded w/ the call. i've received numerous calls from these people and they are just trying to make up a debt balance that you supposedly owe to a bank or company, then they want to have you pay by giving them your credit card number. they do not know how to handle business professionally , i asked them why they never give up on trying to scam people, the operator on the line of course started stuttering and made up utter b***s*** and said she had to terminate the call. i wouldn't consider these guys a "collection agency" just a bunch of crooks trying to scam people for their CC numbers.

They use 5 differant numbers I never answer the phone either when it says unknown caller.

They are calling for Washington Mutual/WAMU credit cards

Like the other comments, they call and don't say anything. I, too, work out of my home and don't need the aggravation or the phone tie-up. I like the last comment. I will try that and tell them I will report them. Thanks for the idea. I don't know how they benefit from doing this.

Received call on Nov. 25th, looking for my adult son, who only gave out our number as an emergency number when he was in the Army.  Know they are a collection agency.  Told them not to call back as they have his number and if they did call back I would report them, then promptly hung up on them.  So far no call back.

It may be a New Jersey number, but these creeps are based out of Minnesota, and also use phone numbers that "appear" to be from Washington, DC (202) and California (818).  Are they really calling from those areas/numbers?
