I answered a call from 207-692-2570 and no one answered. So when this one called I didn't answer. So I guess they found out this is an active phone and are gonna spam me with more calls. Great. I hate telemarketers. They're almost as bad as the TSA

I have a couple of ways to deal with these parasites. First, I let the phone ring three full times before I pick up. I pick up and don't say anything for 2-3 seconds. If it is a computer autodialer, 80-90% of the time the computer will hang up thinking it has gotten a voice mail or answering machine. After 2-3 seconds, I say our company name, but don't give out my name. That way they don't automatically have a name if they call back and get someone else. If I still get a person and they insist, I tell them my name is "Richard Smith"(it's not). It is none of their business what my real name is, they are telescammers who are breaking the law. If they persist in calling over and over again, I tell them that my boss is available, and then I use a sports air horn right next to the phone. What are they going to do, sue me? "Your Honor, I was illegally telescamming and they deafened me!" Good luck with THAT argument. The judge might give me a medal. Reporting these "people"(I use that term loosely) to the Do Not Call Registry is futile, they are usually spoofing their phone number anyway. If you have the time, have some fun with them. See how long they will stay on hold or still be on the line if you put the phone down. Take your cordless into the bathroom and have an extended "deposit" at the Porcelain Bank, complete with very loud fake sound effects. Tell them you ARE the boss and listen to their sales pitch, never saying yes to anything, but always saying that you will look at your numbers and see what you can do. Some scammers will record any affirmative answer you give and then splice it into a call and bill you for whatever they are selling, using that as evidence of an order. Waste as much of their time as you can, because that keeps them from scamming other people, and it can be a really fun stress reliever! Anything that we can do to make this less profitable for these ticks on the butt of humanity is a plus. Feel free to pass this on or add to it with your fun ways of taking back your phone lines. If these idiots would get a real job, the world would be a better place for all of us.

This call hung up like most of them do.

2015649550 - robocaller that does provide opt out.  But is most likely not who they appear to be.  Let's rethink what these callers are really accomplishing.  There is some underlying technical process or reason behind these calls.  It's not just a simple solicitation call.  This is harassment, and violation of privacy.  All robocallers should be illegal, if they are for the purpose of sales, political or non-emergency calls. / I agree with other posters, that these calls are more than just simple sales calls.  LIES! LIES! LIES!  STOP SPYING ON US!  This call is either a scam artist information seeker, or something more nefarious and devious.  I don't believe any more, that this is just a robo sales call.

So I picked up a call at work that was ID'd as coming from this number, based out of "Closter, NJ."  We've never done business in New Jersey, but I've been getting silent robo-calls all day, and this was the only one with a pre-recorded message, offering me a business loan (which I don't need).  Pressed 1 to get a live person to chew out, and got someone named "Jay" who tried to get my name out of me.  I stopped him and asked him to confirm the business name, which he said was "Rapid Funding Group."  As I was filling in the Do Not Call complaint form with the company name and the number I received the call from, that f***ing punk hung up on me before I could tell him to take my company off his list.  Oh, I reported them to the Do Not Call registry and all that, but I was disappointed that the number didn't work both ways when I tried to call back and surprise the b*****ds.  I hate these scammers, and I can't wait for the day some genius reconfigures the phone system to disable robo-call devices.  And by "disable," I mean "remotely explode."

Company Called me (Merchant Worthy).
Recorded message, press 1 to get money now! I pressed 1 and I could hear people in background talking and laughing.
I don't think they knew I could hear them. I heard 1 guy in background said "Hi, this is Mike from Merchant Worthy. After listening to them for a while, they sound like scammers. Definitely sound like MORONS.
