my fiance calls me at 7 a.m. telling me to be expecting a call from ATT global fraud management I said well what did you tell them? what's going on? why are they calling you when I'm the account holder? my fiance tells me that he didn't give them anything an apparently they have my number and just be expecting a call from them any minute well first of all that was a red flag for me. I know AT&T don't call you that early in the morning unless you request a morning call and you're taking care of business with them so I mediately called AT&T gave them the stuff told them what happened they put an alert on my account they said if they call back to me or my fiance to give (the real) at t call and they will handle it.

Now people do not give scamers any information (social security number, account number, passcode, security codes, birthday, anything that protects you do not give them) this is how the scammers work they say they're from a company that you been with for years or your new with  whatever and they scam you they don't care about us people they care about screwing us over.

now that it said and done and I'm still smarter than them f****ng scammers and got my s*** to taking care. Of and alerted. all I have to say is if that bi*** from Milford New Jersey saying she was AT&T global make fruad management called my phone at 7 am  I would have told her to suck my f****ng dick and go to hell bi*** I aint no morning person..

Got a call from these crooks claiming to be ATT. They couldn't even pronounce my name ALEX..I dont know how they got it but the lady was like AAALLLLIII ALLIII

My situation and call were identical to this. I received the email that my info had been changed and I called ATT right away. The support person was very helpful and thorough. I also got call later in the day but I didn't answer. That's when I discovered this website.

This number 201-576-3000 is not related at all to ATT. Is someone internally on the company that have full access to the account information. they will call and offer a discount due to your loyalty. Once your eyes pop out with the discount. They catch you attention and ask for your pass-code to have access to the account and add your the supposed discount. After couple of days or month bye bye to your account information, sim card information, web-access, everything related except your name and billing information.

Since I was alerted by a ATT email, I was able to correct the situation in about 2hrs on the Local ATT and 611 both at the same time. Also I was informed about the scam.

Latter that same day the same number 201-576-3000 called asking if I did a change in my account. That I should call first them. I just hanged and called 611 and informed the situation.

It seems that the main target is Latin American people. In my case I'm down in PR.

A cold call from someone who says they're AT&T is no guarantee that it's legitimate. Don't verify or volunteer personal information.

AT&T Fraud Department's toll free number is 1-877-844-5584. If you get an unexpected call from someone who says they're calling for AT&T, call the AT&T Fraud Department or Customer Service before you give out personal information. My experience with AT&T is that it's most effective to deal with the company in writing by postal mail with a return receipt.
