first time i got them they claimed to be collecting for American Vets.  This time they claim to be doing a survey about electric companys in the north eastern states.

Must be a scam.  I got a call from the same number and they said it was the PBA.  I told them I wouldn't give them any info because our local police dept. told us that the PBA doesn't solicit money over the phone.  They guy just ignored me and tried to get personal info from me.  Wouldn't give it. He hung up.

Says "service call" on the CID.

Forget the FTC or "donotcall."  It's not worth the paper, bandwidth, whatever, it takes.

This phone number is calling late at night 9:00 p.m.    I have called there before and have been put on the don not call list at their number location and they still continue to call me in Michigan.   SCAM !!!! SCAM !!!
Our Gov. really need to get a hold of the processes and put a STOP to all of this.    I will continue to call them back and request to be put on the do not call list and then report it to RUTH to the RESCUE.  She get the job done.

stop annoying calls to me!!! frequently

they call and hang up after  about 20 seconds of silence .  Had to *66 to figure out it was this number that keeps calling.  Creepy

Some Panasonic phones will block up to 30 numbers for you.  It comes in handy, but unfortunately it doesn't take long for you to use those 30 slots up!  What would be even nicer is if you could block entire area codes!

Very very very annoying, they called I declined. They called again the same night and the guy on the other end of the line was super pushy even after I declined their smallest donation

I challenged the ligitimacy of thier organization, said they were apart of the America Vietnam Veterans Association.  He asked for a pledge, Challenged again He hung up on me

How do you block their number?

Caller ID comes through as "SERVICE CALL" and it takes about 10 seconds after you answer before anyone comes to the phone.

They claim to be the "American Veterans Support Foundation" and they are very pushy trying to get you to send them money, any amount!

I DO NOT give any money to telemarketers. If they are legit, they can send their brochure via US Mail and I can decide whether I want to give or not.

According to the Washington State Secretary of State, ONLY 12% of their revenue goes for their claimed charity, so most of the money they receive goes to cover their own salaries, etc.

I have now BLOCKED their number.

I have been getting hang up calls 3-5 times a day from this number here at work.  I have stopped answering it, I just hit the speaker button once to pick up and then quickly hit it again to hang up.  So annoying!!!

got call from them late tonight 8:30 didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. Thought of course just another scammer...why do they keep getting away with bothering people. Do they think everyone is stupid?

Keep getting this phone number on caller ID early in the day but never answer it.  Wish they would stop calling.  Have to report it.

Never donate to a stranger who calls you. Might be a scammer. Might be a legit independent fund raiser who keeps 99% for themselves and sends 1% to the charity. Best to donate directly to the charity so they will get 100% of your donation AFTER you verify it's a legit charity.

I got a call late at 9:00 p.m. Sunday, I see that someone posted that it was "American Veterans" phone number.  I plegized money contingent that it was a local campaign; GR, Michigan.  NJ is not local, I feel a scam in the works.  Donors beware.

I called the number and it is asking for money. It is a recording that seems like a real person.

They called and hung up on the first ring. I called *69 and got the number that way.
