I also received the same call. Everything that you said in this post is what I was told except he told me the government treasury would contact me by phone and email. He didn't ask for any of that information though and I had that gut feeling when you know something is not right. To make it even more suspicious he called on a government holiday when no one is working. While I was on the phone I googled the "loyalty program" and was glad I did. Sorry but don't have any other information. Going to make a complaint tomorrow about this number.

I received a similar phone call from a different# (202)697-7222, also with a heavy Indian accent. Saying that I had qualified for a loyalty grant of $10,200. He actually gave his name as MAX MILLER I.D.#5501.He gave me a grant #AM1250 and asked me to call a different #(202)470-2617 to verify all that said and to process the grant. Also Mr. Miller wanted my bank acct. and routing #s to deposit my claim once everything had been verified. Suspecting a scam I gave them a closed bank acct. information. I then called the second # and spoke to a woman of also heavy Indian accent. She said she had all my information and would process and deposit my grant money into my acct. as soon as I sent them a check or money order for $210.00, for some type of foreign charity and asked if I could do this today, 10-11-13. I replied that I had no money and could not do so. Her reply was that I had three days to do so or forfeit the grant, and she hung up on me. Please investigate this scam put a stop to it!!!! I received the same call I need help so badly I thought my prayers had been answered but of course you have to send them money I do not understand how the people can do this they are not even American some type of Indian or something they should be able to be brought to justice for their fraud

Recevied a call from this number and was told I was getting a check from the government for $9000.  I told him I was going to report him for fraud and he got all upset and started taking in a different language.  He hung up when I told him I was calling right then to report him

I receive calls from this number stating that I owe the government money.

This proves that people are either desperate or understand just how stupid some Americans are.  There should be some way the Feds can shut these idiots down and stop bothering people.

Received a phone call from a gentlemen from this number.  Very thick accent, couldn't understand his name, but apparently I'm eligilbe for $9,000 in a Federal Grant, and wanted by credit card or bank account information to transfer the money.  Do I look like I was just born yesterday?  I know better than to give out any of my information!

they called me at school and told me that i just won $5,000 because i did not file bankruptcy. I went along with it for about five minuets, he eventually asked for my bank account info  and social security. that's when i told him i was 14 and i sure that i didn't need to file bankruptcy...he hung up really quick.

Got a call on my cell of all things. Something about a $9000 loyalty grant from US Gov't. I could hardly understand her, heavy accent or had a mouth full of food. I didn't let her finish, told her to take this number off of her list. Don't know how they got the number but repeated asking her to take my number off of her list. I then hung up.

Received a call from someone with a very heavy accent stating that I qualified for a $ 9000 loyalty grant from the US gov some sort of "loyalty program" this is not the first time, the last time this happened it was for the sum of $ 7000 and I had to pay $350 to receive this money. Today same kind of call only the sum was higher and the sum I had to pay was $ 250. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was put on hold for about / minutes and the line was lost ? I'm sure it's a scam but damn I could really use $9000 right now !!!

Just got a call from this number (guy with accent) telling me I have received a 9000.00 Refund from the IRS,  I said excuse me who are you and he hung up on me.  IT IS VERY OBVIOUS IT IS A SCAM. I called the number back and the subscriber is unavailable.

it isnt an american company this is a forgein group rerouting their number through a DC exchange.

Sorry didnt get to finish message but that number called an hr ago i live in texas and i didnt recognize number so i answered and couldnt understand her but i told her she had the wrong number and she said no i dont and hung up lol

just got a call from 2022000042. let this be the petition to remove this land line. its a washington area code. District of Columbia that is and i would conspire that its an american company attempting to steal from its own as it has been. goodluck to all competent.

My Wife got a call from these people and immediately hung up. Sitting nearby, I could hear it was a lady with a bad foreign accent. offered a federal grant. Obvious scam. About an hour later I got a call from the same number. I decided to have some fun and listened to her scpheil. She Said she had a federal grant for $9,000.00 and that I was (somehow) entitled to it. Fearing that these clowns might actually know who I am, I asked her, "Do you know my name?" she hesitated and said, "Of course I know your name." I, said, "So what is it?"
"Your name?"
"Yes, my name... Say my name!"
"Yes sir your name... is.... mister.........(click) she hung up.
Thankfully this is probably a simple random number dialer.

Ive received a call from this number and I automatically knew it was a scam. First of all im only 20 so my life is basically just starting good. Second of all, who randomly calls people to offer them $9,000. Im no expert, but that just didnt sound right at all.

Lucky me!  They told me in terrible English that they were the Federal Government and that I have been "selected for a grent money" - WOW.

Jus received a call from that number.  Person could barely speak English, and claimed to be from federal government.  I hung up and called my carrier, which is AT&T to report.  They have documented it and will research.  I also reported to the donotcall.gov website.

Just received a call on my cell phone. I am at work and did not answer, which I would not have answered anyway, as it is a number not known to me.  My cell phone number is only given to immediate family and friends, so any unknown number is usually a scammer, I have found.  Thanks to this site for allowing me to know it was an unsolicited call from an idiot!

Woman with a thick accent called saying I had been selected to receive a federal grant in the amount of 9000 dollars, because I had never filed bankruptcy, or been arested. I asked her "What is my name?" She hung up. My guess is that she would have asked for info to steal my identity, or perhaps to tell me that the "first" step was that I had to pre-pay the tax on the money. (that would also be the last step)

I got a $9000 grant. But I couldn't use it for gambling, drugs or drinking. I said I live in Las Vegas and gambling was legal but she didn't have that on her script. She needed a bank acount of credit card. When i said just send me a check she hung up.

I RECIEVED THE SAME CALL, SEARCH FOR THAT NUMBER, IT IS  A CELL PHONE..   DO NOT ANSWER OR GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION..   SCAM ALL THE WAY..
