I received a phone call from DEA Agent William Wright (202) 241-5693! NOT!
Stated that I had a warrant. I was pretty scared ....... I swear I almost pooped my pants. Was so scared for something I have never done! I filled a complaint as well.
Same story as above. DEA agent. Threatens to send police officer to address. wants me to pay $957 fine or something like that. I got so scared for a moment and then realized.....this needs to be stopped!
received a message from a william wright dea agent regarding drugs from overseas and a warrant for my arrest. thank god i googled it.
Same as above, scared my sister and mom, so I got involved and it was scam, reported to state attorney general.
Scammer! fraud!... Warrant officer from DEA...
Just got a call from the thieving scumbag! I was really upset at first, then I called his bluff. He is nothing more than a parasite, and he will go to hell and burn. There is a woman in the picture. They are the lowest of the low. I wish I could get them both arrested! They can't get people to buy their drugs so now the next step is to scam them!
Received a call this morning from an agent from the DEA informing me of Drugs being purchased and mailed to me from another country. He was telling me there was a warrant out for my arrest which would be served later today. Told me to go to my local sheriff and turn myself in. Strange part is that he never ask me for cash or an option to pay a fine. Don't know if he forgot or its a setup for another call...
Same thing happened to me. William Wright needs to get a real job. He has to answer to god one day. He will go straight to hell and hopefully burn. Hurting innocent people and causing them to get upset.
Thank God I called the FBI to confirm the badge number, Yep a total scam with the exact conversation like the others above!!! At first I was scared, then tho't I'd find out more before sending the money, LOL a total joke!
I received a call from 202 241-5693 from a guy calling himself special agent William Wright, badge number CE19760. Said I had ordered some drugs from the Dominican Republic and was having a warrent issued for my arrest today at 4:00 EST. Being a little freaked out (I had a call from another guy in Texas a few weeks earlier), I listened to him. At one point I asked how to know if this wasn't a scam, and he said to go check myself in to the local police department where I would instantly be arrested and put in jail for 30 days. Ok, so I thought why would a scammer tell me to do that...I let it keep going. He asked me to send $1,950 to Ismeirin Santos at 1600 Fort Washington Ave, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. I had to send the cash today or else be arrested. He even told me how to fill out the money gram form, which boxes to check.
While on the phone with a very special agent Wright, I googled "DEA Scam" and found this exact scam. I continued to talk to the special man and realized I was off the hook. I told him I would get right on it. Then I hung up.
I called my local DEA office and got instant feedback that this was a scam. Such relief!
I got a cal from this same number saying the exact same thing the others have described. Scam!!!!! Scared me to death at first
Just got the same call from the DOUCH! Reported to our local FBI:)
Received a call from this number. Says his name is WIlliam Wright - total scam. How do we get these idiots out of our lives! Better yet - what do we need to do protect those who fall may for it!
Received a call from this number. He said his name was William WRight. He demanded money and he was from DEA.
Special Agent William Wright left a voice message stating he had issued a federal warrant and subpoena for my arrest for purchasing drugs from an international country. I returned the call at 202-241-5693 to determine what the authenticity of the call. (I should have checked the number first...). When someone finally answered the call, I asked for Special Agent William Wright and was "supposedly" transferred to his extension #118. He explained that all drugs must be approved by the FDA before entering the United States. He also stated an FBI officer would be by my home today at 2:30 p.m. to pick me up and take me to federal prison!! He then stated I could avoid imprisonment if I would send the $1,950.00 fine via Western Union to an "International" Special Agent, Tony Gomez, at 1500 Fort Washington Street, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic! I have NEVER purchased medications without a U.S. doctor's prescription particularly over the Internet or by phone. When he mentioned money, I realized it was obviously a scam! Instead of rushing to Western Union at Walmart on Siegen Lane, as he suggested, I reported him to the FBI Fraud Department and hope he is arrested for interstate fraud! This guy is with the same group of scamming thieves who repeatedly call soliciting diet medications.
some guy called from this number saying he was a special agent richard wright from washington D.C. and I need to call ASAP ,SCAMMER!!!!!!! I know bwtter to even return that call
I just received a phone call from this number. They again are trying to pose as DEA.
Tell you what's really funny this William Wright is the one on the vociemail staing to leave a message! Lmao since when does the DEA not answer their phones?? Really??? Bunch of scamming losers. Reported them to the real DEA!!! Don't fall for it people!
Got same call. Suspected b***s*** so I didnt take him too seriously since I got a call VERY similar to this a year or so ago too.At that time I called the DEA directly and they told me it was a scam... I told him I was recording the call and would be reporting him and he wimped out pretty fast after that.
I just got a call from William Wright DEA saying he had a Federal Warrant and I would be arrested...lol Scam!!
TOTAL SCAM. CALLED ANOTHER ATTORNEY'S CLIENT AND SAID HE COULD PAY $1850.00 OR BE ARRESTED. WILLIAM WRIGHT CLAIMING TO BE DEA. WHEN I CALLED THE #, IT WENT STRAIGHT TO VOICE MAIL, CLAIMING TO BE DEA IN WASHINGTON D.C. NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE ACTUAL # FOR THE DEA OFFICE IN D.C.
Fake DEA agent using name of Wm Wright and calling from 202-241-5693. Asking for money.
DONT ITS A SCAM...they use different numbers and and names, ....I received a call from a Mr. Wright posing as a DEA agent from Washinton DC using this number 202-241-5693 saying a warrant would be taken out for my arrest due to diet pill purchase online BUT if i pay a penalty of 1850.00 and there would be nothing on my record .I told him i wasnt paying anything and told him arrest me and hung up... I called and reported him at 877-792-2873.
